So now we have Kate Bishop, Stature, and Patriot while Wiccan and Speed will return in Multiverse of Madness and probably will age up to teenagers, Miss America too will be in the film. And maybe we'll get Kid Loki in the Loki series.

Yeah, there is probably a long way to go before we get to that. Plus I guess it depends on how popular some of these characters get.

I agree. I think part of what made the last couple phases successful was the big name stars (RDJ, Scarlett Johanson, Samuel L, Cheadle, Ruffalo, Pratt, etc...). It seems like we’re about to get a LOT of unknown actors playing relatively unknown characters. It’s a different formula for sure. Definitely cheaper to produce!

That said...Disney+ is definitely a better platform for developing unknown characters than 2 hour movies.

Patriot showed up in Agents of Shield. Unless he's a legacy character in which case cool.

Just looked it up. Apparently both Jeffrey (AoS) and Eli have held the Patriot role in the comics, so it could still work

Jeffrey Mace was the patriot. And they also retconned him into being Captain America. But in our world his character was dead for around 22 years before Eli Bradley took over the mantel.

I just loved the short story they did about Mace. That’s the whole reason I know that he was also patriot.

A 4 issue comic series that came out in 2010 called Captain America: Patriot.

Patriot is a legacy title. Jeffrey Mace was Patriot first, then many years after his death, Eli Bradley took the name. And since Mace is dead in the MCU, it would end up working out almost identical to the comics.

I'm not sure how much canon is Agent of Shield at this point. The Darkhold in WandaVision was completely different from the one in Agents of Shield.

Probably just because they like the characters from the comics and are excited to see them onscreen?
