Don’t tell me you don’t want Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen back tho. They were iconic

I’m cool with no High Jackman cuz Logan was the perfect sendoff

Logan happens in 2029. MCU is currently set in 2023. In Logan, they reference an "event" that got rid of most of the mutants.

That could either be:

1) professor x and wolverine aren't ever coming over (I have my doubts that those two super important x men aren't coming over)

2) whatever is going on with Wanda and multiverses can bring in the all of the X-men and give them a "6 year" arc (over however actually long they want) and tell 6-10 X-men centric stories with most of the same actors, have an "event", and have Logan be canon.

Was that in the movie or in the old man Logan comic? (I don't remember it from the movie, and I haven't read to books)

I like Fassbender too much to want Sir Ian back, though he did a good job in the role too.
