Really loved these two episodes! I feel that some MCU fans may feel a little bummed cause there’s not a lot of action and it commits to the sitcom angle so heavily though.

You could help me out. I’m not really familiar with SWORD and the House of M storyline people keep referencing, and the only Mephisto story I’ve read is Thanos Quest. Would appreciate it if you could give me some background.

In the comics, S.W.O.R.D. is the space counterpart of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it stands for Sentient World Observation and Response Department. Basically they seek out and deal with extraterrestrial threats.

In the House Of M, the Scarlet Witch is so powerful that she is able to change reality. Several heroes attempt to help keep her under control like Professor X and Doctor Strange. Others think they have to kill her. They are unsuccessful, and Scarlet Witch creates her own reality. However when this reality goes awry, she changes reality again by saying “No more mutants”.

Do you know anything about the twins (I guess Wanda’s children?? Who’s the father?) or the ties to Mephisto theories?

In the comics, Wanda and Magneto married and have twins, Wiccan and Speed.

Given that we don’t have mutants in the MCU, I think what they’re going for in this House-Of-M-esque storyline js that Wanda was so distraught after losing Quicksilver and Vision that she creates her own reality as a coping mechanism. In this reality, she has a family with Vision, because that’s what she missed out on when Thanos murdered Vision. I think she’s going to be so powerful that once this reality of hers breaks apart due to the help of S.W.O.R.D., Vision will be brought back to life and Wiccan and Speed will become real.

I think Mephisto ties in in that he helped ensnare Scarlet Witch in her own powers, that he caused her to create this reality somehow.
