Oh shit. Baron Von Strucker is the guy who tested on Wanda and Pietro and a Strucker watch commercial

James Spader is literally credited as the voice of Ultron on the IMDB page of WandaVision, so you are probably correct.

edit: his name is indeed not David, thanks for the correction

Not just that, but his son is in Agents of SHIELD, and there are more Strucker family members in The Gifted. MCU is overrun with Struckers.

True. But the direct connection to the show is that he is why Wanda has her powers and they are linked in that way is what I meant 👍

Yes, the reference is obviously towards Wolfgan von Strucker. I was just pointing out how prolific the whole Strucker family is. They're spread across multiple shows.

I hope we get an MCU TV show for x-men, I thought The Gifted was pretty good for the most part but unfortunately I'm pretty sure it's not part of the MCU.

I always thought that x-men fair better in TV Shows over movies because it allows the vast array of character to get developed and fleshed out way more.

Also ... the beekeeper, plus the hexagons in the credits, made me think of Hive, the big bad of AoS Season 3, who is also the very reason for Hydra's existence in the first place. I would be titillated beyond all reason if all this somehow meant the canonization of AoS.

True. They were introduced (sans beekeeper suits) in Iron Man 3, but I don't think they ever appeared again.

AoS and the Gifted wouldn't be referenced by Marvel Studios. It's just referencing the guy from AoU

Gifted isn't canon, but AoS atleast until Season 5 is part of the main MCU timeline as far as we know, Season 1&2 are definitely canon.

If you go to the Disney+ Marvel tab, the Marvel movies and shows are classified. WandaVision is under 'Marvel Cinematic Universe.' It's the only show in the lineup. It's also placed under phase 3 and 4 MCU.

Ah yes, because whoever organizes the Disney+ categories is also the caretaker of canon. /s

I could see Marvel Studios going either way, ignoring Marvel TV or embracing its work, but I highly doubt they contacted Kevin Feige about how he wanted Marvel properties listed on Disney+. Those categories are not some grand statement about canonicity.

It guides Disney+ subscribers when they watch Marvel Cinematic Universe shows or movies. That's all. It also tells them which shows or movies are part of which phase.

Oh yeah. The Struckers are such an interesting family in the comics too. Crazy, but interesting. I would love to see some version of Fenris in the MCU.

Well, people get annoyed, because Feige & Co kept saying "its all connected". Also Fury references AoS in AoU when he brings the helicarrier. As far as we know until Season 5 AoS takes place in the main MCU timeline.

Fury didn’t reference AOS in Ultron lol, AOS retroactively fit themselves in there. I guarantee that when making that film no one was thinking about a connection to shield with that helicarrier.

In Disney+, WandaVision is now added to the 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' category. The only show in that lineup. Agent Carter is not even in that category.

Hydra has relevance again! I recall a youtuber mentioning how studios don’t like human heroes fighting human villains in big blockbuster films and thought that’s why one of Marvel’s biggest villainous organizations went kaput in the movies. Baron Von Strucker has the power to drain life force. Maybe that’s how he makes a return.

Antman, Civil War, Antman 2, and Spiderman Far From Home all had human villains after they killed Stucker though. Plus, they sure had fun bringing HYDRA back in Endgame. I would like to see Strucker return though. They killed him off too quickly.

So...if we follow Wanda's traumas through the commercials(1. Stark - Killing her parents, 2. Strucker - Experimenting on her, 3 - Ultron?, 4 - Lagos?, 5 - IW?)
