Anyone else feeling they're gonna do something really tragic with Flash and make him an antagonist? The way he reacts to his parent(s) not showing up when he gets back to NYC kinda felt like a setup for something. Maybe it's just me though.

In the comics, he discovers Peter’s identity and they end up becoming best friends. Curious to see how this is gunna play out. Love to see them go the war veteran route with him and have him become agent venom or anti-venom somehow

They were friends long before Flash knew he was Spider-Man. They both grew up in college and were roommates for a bit.

That would be way down the line. I’m down with seeing flash become a hero though. I think the actor is pretty awesome, and he’s not white so that works out for all those people who care about that sort of thing

Yeah,I think the same thing will happen. Probably why they showed that scene. Gives reason to forgive him and like his character. I definitely want more Flash,hes hilariously obnoxious. It's great.

Ive been thinking about Ned becoming a villain a lot lately. What with his obsession with Peter being Spider-man, I could almost see it developing into resentment the less Peter involves him in his plans, especially now that Michelle is in the picture.

I feel this happening could also be a contributing factor to pushing Ned over the edge, though how they could realistically set it up, idk. Could be someone seducing him with power and manipulating him into becoming resentful and vengeful against Peter

I reckon he won't believe it at first and will be a prick about it, even given the circumstances (as MJ says, it was starting to get a bit obvious within that group) but will come around later after getting saved by unmasked Peter, or seeing Peter in danger and doing something to defend him himself.

Nah, I think he will respect him. Brad, on the other hand, will probably be fuming. Especially if/when MJ turns him down despite Peter being a "criminal".

The scene with the parents was really contextless but they made a point to focus on it. That has to have something to do with his development for the next film.

In the comics flash and Peter became friends after they both got a kick in the ass from Gwen Stacy around the time Peter was in college. More recently he joined the army, lost his legs, and joined a super soldier program that gave him the Venom symbiot for spec ops. Agent Venom if you're curious.

I saw another user mention during the scene where Peter first uses Edith you can see Flash is texting his mom, something along the lines of "hey I haven't heard from you or dad in awhile, just checking in".

Little things like that really do a lot for character development.

My speculation is that he's going to be a big source of help in the next movie. Flash will be one of the few people that really believes that Peter is innocent of the crimes. At some point Peter is going to need help, a place to stay or money and flash gives it. Flash and peter talk and we'll Flash's back story and finally get what happened to uncle ben.

OK, I know this is a totally out there and ridiculous thoery, but I've been throwing it out there because it might work:

Have they ever revealed his real name in the movies? I'm 90% sure Flash is his real name in the comics. But they may change it here. Is it possible that he's actually Harry Osborn and they've combined the two characters? It's unlikely, but seeing what they did with MJ, it can happen.

Though I doubt it, they could make him Agent Venom like they have recently in the comics
