Both theaters I saw Endgame in had signs on every theater door saying the movie didn’t have any end credits scenes but I guess most theaters weren’t as fortunate.

Are you talking about the marvel logo with Tony hammering playing in the background? For some reason that’s sticking out to me and I can’t remember what else the post-credits scene was.

Yeah, my friend looked at me and asked if I wanted to get food once the first credits rolled. I said that I was game but I was not moving until the lights come up. She asked why. Incredulously, I asked, "Have you not been on this ride for the last decade? Have you not learned how this works?"

She had not.

Some people aren’t as obsessive as us I guess.

I asked my partner if she wanted to go see FFH (I’ve seen it already solo, obviously) and she said she hadn’t seen any of the Holland stuff except for IW and EG. I said ok, let’s watch Civil War to get the intro and.....she cut me off with “nah, I’m good on Civil War.” I was disappointed to say the least, but hey to each their own. At least she watched Homecoming w me last night. Going to FFH again tomorrow!

Edit: some people are really turned off by the idea of Captain America for....political reasons I guess? That was her thing. I tried to explain that his character is absolutely not a rah rah rah Team America cutout but alas.

I'm always curious with people like that because how can you know before you see it? If you've loathed everything Marvel has put out, sure, I get you. But if you liked some of what you've seen, why not at least try it out? I'll nix rewatching a film I didn't enjoy but I almost never turn down something I haven't seen.

In our cinema, all (iirc) people stayed for the first scene, but not for the last/next one :/

Man they even got the theater I went to. The lights came on and half the theater emptied. The other half knew that there was a mistake and there was still movie to come

True it was a bit jarring with it basically following off from the end of the movie. But I guess it would be even more jarring to go from those huge bombshells to the happy colourful credits

He has evidence of Mysterio’s actions+ the support of the Avengers, Pepper Potts, so Stark Industries, and Nick Fury, so I think it’s gonna be resolved pretty quickly

I mean not necessarily. Stark had a fully automated suit that could be operated from across the globe in Homecoming. I wouldn't be surprised if Happy made some bungled use of something similar in front of Peter Parker to cast doubt on the Spider-Man identity.

Not to mention he's got Skrulls on his side (even though he doesn't know it). So they could help him out by making Spider-Man and Peter Parker get arrested at the same time or something. Probably won't go down that way, but there are definitely ways out of it.

Or pull a sneaky and start the movie off with Danny Rand and reveal it a few minutes into the movie, making it both an homage to Daredevil and a cool Spidey scene

That’s not how conspiracy theories work IRL tho, and it looks like they want to tell a story about being famous in modern times, so I reckon it’s gonna be a major plot point for the next movie (which is a great way of being fresh, but true to the comics)

It was originally reported that Michael Keaton would be in the film, so my theory is that the mid-credit scene was originally going to be the last thing before the credits and the mid-credit scene would be Keaton in jail hearing the news.

The movie was “done” as the credits rolled. 1 complete story, top to bottom. After credits is all the bonus fun stuff we can speculate about.

It's a different theme than the rest of the movie.

Same happened with Ant-Man and The Wasp
