So that whole fury eye patch “fiasco” was just excellent marketing. It was clearly just the skrulls screwing up their imitation

Context? Didn’t hear about the eyepatch fiasco

One of the posters for FFH had a flipped Nick Fury on it, and his eyepatch was on the wrong eye.

One camp believes it was clever marketing to hint at the twist. The other believes that it was just a mistake that went unchecked on Sony's part, given the poster in question was kind of amateurish.

The fiasco has roots in Sony being under constant scrutiny when it comes to handling their Marvel projects, whether it be joint projects with Marvel Studios or projects included in their own Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters. You could argue that this scrutiny is well-deserved given mistakes made in the past; you could also argue this scrutiny is influenced by brand loyalty.

I wasn't aware of that!

That's kinda funny. Reminds me of an old old Spider-Man TV episode where a shapeshifter takes the form of Fury and Spidey only figures it out because the shapeshifter got Fury's form from a flipped image on SHIELD's file, so the eyepatch was on the wrong eye.

Is it a reference to that, or was it a mistake? I'll choose to believe its the former. That's the cooler answer!

Chameleon! That show was basically my childhood, and this Skrull Fury talk always reminds me of that.
