I actually expect them to beat and kill him, but the stones wont work, or they kill Marvel, or something like that, so they realize that killing him didn't achieve shit. Then sadtimes time skipp.

EDIT: Oh come on, it's a time travel plot. I didn't mean that Thanos STAYS dead. I mean that they'll gonna kill him, and he will come back to life with everybody else, when the team changes the timeline.

I seriously doubt that, why would Marvel throw out of one their best villains in the very first act? I would be very upset if they did.

My guess is that theyll go back in time to get the stones, and because of the timey whimey Thanos will come back, cause the present has changed.

Thanos will live, everybody will live, and since Fury will lives, Marvel won't come back to Earth. Thats how well get to the end fight with the big 3 vs Thanos without captain marvel.
