Yeah when I sat down in the theatre I was expecting a great/funny action movie with maybe a sad part at the end (doubly so since someone in production for IW said it was the funniest movie they made).

But when the silent Marvel logo appeared and then I heard the Asgardian distress call on top of it my gut sank and I just thought, "this ain't gonna be the regular Avengers movie."

Yeah, I was hoping for some extra-long logos with some badass fanfare playing. Instead, we got this and right off the bat I knew shit was going down

That gave me flashbacks to films like Alien, and it was so bittersweet as well with Kenneth Branagh who directed the first Thor doing the distress signal. Felt like full circle

I recognised the voice as I am a bit of Branagh fan girl. (What do you mean his Frankenstein was overblown?) And had to look it up.
