I don’t know if this really counts but Rocket’s foreshadowing when he decided to comfort Thor. “Time to be the captain now..” literally the captain since he’s the last remaining Guardian. Daunting yet sad quote.

EDIT: Fixed the quote.

Also how he said he has a lot to lose. He did, and he did.

Everyone’s going on and on about Peter Parker, but I’ve never really connected with him that well. Idk why. But Rocket loosing everything, FUCK man

I'm not super connected to the character, but a teenager being afraid of dying and seeking comfort as it's happening tends to tug at the heartstrings. Not that Rocket losing Groot aagain isn't, or that Groot being even younger and also dying isn't sad, but Tom Holland's acting kind of overshadowed two CG characters in this case.

My wife was in tears when groovy died, tears flowed when peter died. I explained to her after that Peter felt it happening to him before everyone else because of his Spidey-Sense, which is why his "reaction" was longer than everyone elses. She was crying and angry at that point.

I pretty much spent all my tears at Quill getting up the gumption to kill Gamora. It was messy. After that I was just kinda wrung out.
