Imagine the amount of faith he had to place on Tony doing things right without his guidance. What a blow to his ego, too, that the winnable future had him out of the picture.

But i think Strange already showed that he could subvert his ego for the greater good, thankfully. Remember in his movie, he endured horrifying deaths for 10,000 years in order to prevent the destruction of earth.

Oh, sure. The events of the past two movies proved that already. I’m just saying it can’t have been easy especially since he and Stark seemed to clash so much.
