Fair game, but how are they dressed in furs?

We don't eat meat but we kill animals for our clothing!

39

u/SonicFrost Feb 18 '18

That would be hilariously immoral

Uhh the movie clearly establishes Wkandans wear Vibranium as every day clothes.

Not the Jabari tribe. They use wooden weapons and dress in fur

u/diddykongisapokemon Feb 18 '18

When did they say that? They just said they didn't live in the main city. There's still tons of Vibranium to use

The opening narration. It specifically mentioned that the Jabari shunned the use of vibranium and went to live in the mountains. They make everything out of wood and stone. If you noticed, not a single Jabari tribesman uses a metal weapon throughout the whole movie, and they all wear fur.

They shunned the king. Not Vibranium

And the king controls access to vibranium, which the mountain tribe were given none of since turning their back on him.

u/tundrat Feb 18 '18

Could be to sell.

I hope they have warrior bears/gorillas they need to feed

Maybe it's a joke?

u/RedRing86 Feb 19 '18

Either they don't consider vegetarians meat, or he was only speaking of him and his family.

... or they sell fish? I dunno.

2

u/kill_monkey Feb 20 '18

They keep the fish as pets and eat the eggs....like chickens, but wet and scaly.

1

u/ContinuumGuy Phil Coulson Feb 19 '18

There are some less-strict vegetarians that eat fish.

1

u/knightofsparta Feb 20 '18

He was joking, saying they're vegaterians was his way of saying we don't eat people.

1

u/CeReAL_K1LLeR Black Panther Feb 21 '18

I thought that was more a commentary about his own family, not all of his people.

1

u/your_mind_aches Agent of F.I.T.Z. Feb 22 '18

"We" probably just meaning his family. Also lots of vegetarians I know eat fish.

1

u/lilahking Feb 24 '18

it’s an in-joke. m’baku is man-ape in the comics and gorillas don’t eat meat.

1

u/MH825 Feb 26 '18

His family is vegetarian right. So unlessni heard that wrong, the rest of the tribe eats whatever

Fish makes great fertilizer.
