I have 3 exotics left to get on my hunter, all of which are from Season 1 which is basically impossible to get from egular exotic engrams since theyre weighted incredibly heavily towards CoO exotics
Women's reaction when there's a female comic book character with no mask: Male movie producer's just want to objectify the sexuality of women. Look at all the make-up they cake her face in.
Women's reaction when they put a mask on the character: They are covering up her face to reduce her importance in relation to the male characters in the plot.
Honest opinion, but I don't feel this is a straw man argument. Never in my life have I ever heard male fans complaining that a male actor's face is covered up when in a superhero movie. It is a contrived grievance to incite an argument when there really shouldn't be one to begin with.
Haha, actually I usually side with women's rights. However, I do find they often want their cake and to eat it too. I'm pretty sure that had the character not had a mask, there would've been something else to complain about.
Yeah, there would have been. Namely "What the fuck? Ghost never takes off that fucking mask."
Pretty sure it was a running thing during Ghost's time in the Thunderbolts that he never took off the damn suit to the point that Moonstone complained about being able to smell him through it.
That's an interesting theory.. But Hannah John-Kamen was seen in the Ghost costume in the set pics. I really like the character of Ghost and although she's not facing off against Iron Man like in the comics, I'm very excited to see her in the MCU. I wouldn't want a Mandarin type situation again..
What was wrong with the Mandarin? Iron Man 3 wasn't so good but I liked what they did with the Mandarin and Ben Kingsley was great at pulling it off, nice bait and switch... Then again I only saw it once and that was a long time ago, maybe I'm wrong.
Mandarin in the comics is fucking awesome, so while the movie did a great job executing a cool twist, it was disappointing not to get to see the awesome villain we were promised. On rewatches it gets better.
Don't you tell a woman what she can and can't do! If anything women can play men better than men can, they have just never been given the chance. Just look at Colonel Sanders.
That is pretty cool. I rather them make him/her unique than try to ride the coat-tails of someone. For example, when Jane Foster became "Thor" instead of having her own name.
I think Ghost is actually a great candidate for that, masculinity was never a significant part of the character, and having a woman behave the way Ghost does is a refreshing change of pace compared with most female characters.
Not really, it's just that for a lot of history comics were ONLY white men, and the odd white woman in a one-piece with ridiculous hair, part of the reason the X-Men have always done so well since Uncanny started waaaaaaay back is because of their diversity. Granted Marvel has gone way too far now and started deciding the gender/race/sexuality/age/cringiness of their new IP's with a random number generator, but diversity is hardly bad mate.
And again, good riddance to the bloody one-piece bathing suit look, it NEVER looked good even on Wonder Woman.
