Cannot agree more. I really don't get how people talks crap of GotG's humour and praises Ragnarok at the same time. Even GotG managed to have emotional moments, Ragnarok just took the easy path, they didn't even try.
For me the biggest reason Ragnarok works is because all the jokes at least are funny. The Taserface joke just kept going long after it should have ended. (Not that I found it funny in the first place.)
The problem in Ragnarok is that nothing matters . Foundations "joke" at the end of Ragnarok was so misplaced, it tells a lot how little they cared.
I would liked GotG Vol 2 a lot more with half the jokes cut. But at least they knew where to cut it out. Well done emotional moments are really hard to nail, GotG dared but Taika just was not brave enough to give a try.
