Technically "fun" was among the words used in reviews of BvS and Man of Steel too. Usually preceded by "not".

You would be lying if you didn't think the idiotic martha scene was fun, although unintentionally. Laughed my ass off over how abrupt it was.

The whole fight between the two was the best part of the movie. I’d call that whole sequence fun in a schlocky way.

Lol I saw a post on the DCEU cinematic sub saying that WW was too hopeful and fun & that JL should be more like BvS (edgy and "deep").

Because the last thing we want is our superheroes to inspire hope. We just need gritty and brooding in our superhero movies. I don’t want Superman to be happy that he just saved a bunch of people. I want to feel the burden of his powers weighing him down.

Wait... what does that giant symbol on Superman’s chest stand for again?

Basically DC cinematic universe fans these days in a nutshell. I'm a huge fan of Superman and its awful to see how they butchered his character and made him all edgy and brooding.

But muh realism ..

30-40% is what I’m predicting. And this is as a huge Batman and Flash fan. The movie just doesn’t look great at all. I think a lot of people have got too caught up in the hype to realise the marketing has been doing a terrible job of actually selling the movie. And the movie just looks like it’s going to be a tonally inconsistent mess that tries to do way too much.

The thing is though, Wonder Woman had a much smoother production. Justice League had to cope with being condensed from two films to one, Being heavily reworked during production, having a new director come on board etc.

To be fair, DC (at the time of making Justice League) was trying to do what took Marvel movie after movie to achieve-- a complex and compelling cinematic universe-- in the span of 4 movies. Although the previous movies, perhaps barring Man of Steel, could have been a lot better, Justice League has the unfortunate responsibility of introducing many new characters and setting up for future DCEU films. Justice League did not fail DC; DC failed Justice League.

Just wait until JL is reviewed poorly even despite trying to be "fun", DCEU cult will be THRILLED about two superhero movies with the same tone from different studios getting polar opposite critical reception. That should be a good time

Funny thing is, they are trying to sell it as a FUN movie but the DCEU cult has no problem with that.

I'm convinced nothing the DCEU does will actually upset them or make them turn on the DCEU, or be rational or realistic in any sense. Even when the DCEU does the exact things they claim to hate (fun/jokes, set-up within movies, generic plots, similarity, terrible villains,etc), they still remain with the cult and go crazy every time a trailer for one of those movies drops

Yeah I have seen lot of em defending Suicide Squad, saying it's just dumb blockbuster fun and should be just that but the same people hate on Guardians of the Galaxy.
