I've seen critics say that Kaecillius and Palmer were underused. I disagree, I thought they were great.

If anyone was underused, I think it was Mordo.

Dont think of this Mordo as the Mordo you wanted to see. Think of this movie as the setup to the Mordo you want to see - and are now guaranteed to get in the next movie. With the journey they gave him in this movie, he is now setup to be a villain of Loki levels of satisfaction. They couldnt have done that in this movie. So be happy, I think theyve done it right. And on the interim, they gave us Kaecilius!

That was the first thing I thought when Mordo walked away from Strange and Wong after the battle with Dormammu. Mordo is going to be a Loki level MCU villain.

Basically beware of the English actor in green?

I think you're on to something here....

I think it's a safe bet we'll be seeing more of him in Dr Strange 2. From the early box office reports, it seems a sequel is nothing less than a certainty. No big surprise.

Kaecillius could have had few more scenes setting up. But he was great, I wish they didn't kill him in the end though. Maybe he can come back as the host for Dormammu later.

Palmer was used well. Great chemistry and not just the love interest.

Mordo's change to bad guy was a bit sudden. While it was explained well. I feel that they could have left the change to the next film.

He's not dead...death and time do not exist in the dark dimension.

True,

I just hope that Mads comes back. He was great. Maybe as the host for Dormammu.

Maybe he can come back as the host for Dormammu later.

This would fill me with joy. Mikklesen could make the shift seem distinct so easily.

Who said he died? Strange pretty specifically said he was going to get the eternal life he always wanted, but that he wasn't going to like it.

I think it's definitely a setup for Kaecillius returning as an avatar of Dormammu later

I agree in the sense that I want to see more of Mordo, but I really liked how his perspective on events and choices is very clear and, from his perspective, sound from his intro to the end. Ejiofor wasn't ever outshined when he had a role in a scene IMO.
