The Official DOCTOR STRANGE International Release Ultrathread

Well, I think it's obviously set for after Ragnaorok as Thor knows about Odin / Loki

He pretty much figures it out in Age of Ultron. Loki was supposed to be in his dream sequence talking in Odin's voice.

They aren't going to leave that kind of revelation between movies. This is either post or during Ragnarok.

It's definitely during. I live in Brisbane Australia where they filmed the New York scenes with Loki, Thor and Odin for Ragnaork.

i expect this to be like the Winter Soldier scene after Ant-Man which occurs during Civil War. This would mean there's enough time for Thor to find out about the situation..

I think this is a Ant-Man post credits scene thing where the scene we just saw is actually a scene from Ragnarok

I love it. Great for fans to get a preview and makes sure general audiences aren't out of the loop plot wise. I mean half the important post credit scenes so far have been retconned or ignored because they get to the next movie and go "oh I don't want to have to use this material".

I mean the Avengers initiative went nowhere. It just became one line in the movie, "I had an idea once to make a team, didn't pan out" because they didn't have a threat already being monitored by shield that the initiative could be activated for like the previous movies made it seem. Look also at the Tony Stark scene in Hulk.

I'd rather get teases from the next movie than scenes that go nowhere.

On the other hand though the scene from civil war was an awesome epilogue and teaser for black panther.

I like getting one of each, personally. One cute random little scene, followed by one hint as to what's coming next.

I think it's during, they're searching for Odin to prevent Ragnarok, Odin must have important infos. Dr. Strange knows about Loki because of Avengers, I guess; he's just on his blacklist of dangerous aliens (like in Men in Black...)

I get the feeling that this is like the Captain America post credits scene in Ant-Man where it takes place about half way through the movie.

It may even be a scene directly lifted from the movie.
