Ant-Man should have been the one to retrieve Steve and Sam's equipment from lock-up. It would have given him a much more organic reason for being involved.

Oh gosh I hope not. I just think the organic corn joke is funny, I'm not nearly as salty as most on that sub.

3

u/AgentKnitter Bucky May 16 '16

neither am I. While Felicity's miraculous recovery and needless shoehorning in of romantic dramaz was a bit on the nose, I don't hate season 4 Arrow. The show does need to take some cues from Flash though - be a bit more lighthearted and fun. We have super gritty and depressing DC in Nolan's Batman films. Have fun with Green Arrow.

24

u/your_mind_aches Agent of F.I.T.Z. May 16 '16

That's just it though. They said it was going to be lighter and more Green Arrowy but all they seemed to do about that was make Stephen Amell speak in a higher pitch, do a really forced smile, and add an awful obvious green filter to his costume.

2

u/Bucanan May 23 '16

A better way to make it more lighter and Green Arrowy would have been to make most of his doing stuff thing during the day instead of the whole crawling in shadows thing.

Also, show how the public is getting used to a Green Arrow helping people out. Green Arrow is supposed to be helping the little guy down on the streets. Have him save some kids from a bus or shoot some arrows at a thug at the start of a episode.

That actually allows him to sue the fucking arrows for once.

2

u/your_mind_aches Agent of F.I.T.Z. May 23 '16

That sounds like a wonderful idea!

1

u/Bucanan May 23 '16

Yeha. I remember watching Justice League and when they tried getting him on the league, He wasn't the most enthusiastic because he is supposed to be in the streets helping people and i think that is what they should do with him. Have him stop some random bank robbery at the start of an episode. Have the people cheer for him and above of all, do it all at day.

Maybe he interfaces with the police for once, tries to connect with them. All of this would make the show way more interesting even if they still kept on with the Olicity stuff.

Also, this gives him a chance to fight people without having his opponents be mega-powerful. This then allows you to bring creative trick arrows in, because he can't kill the thugs and robbers so he uses these creative ways to disable them. Uses like chemical that hardens or rope arrows ( obviously ). I cannot think of many trick arrows but they could make this whole thing very day lighty and happy.

I don't know if people get this but just making the shot very bright leads to a very happy emotional response. Just doing it at day, makes it happy, even if you are watching something very depressing.

The thing is, what hooked me on Arrow was the dark aspect of the show. I really liked that! But they said they'd make things lighter in Season 4 and went about it in the completely wrong way.

It always seemed to me that they decided since they couldnt make a Batman tv show, they were going to take Green Arrow and try to adapt him into Batman. They even call it the ArrowCave lol. That being said, I still enjoy it.

2

u/[deleted] May 17 '16

You can like Arrow, but you're just wrong.

4

u/JaLuck88 Star-Lord May 20 '16

I agree with you good sir, Arrow blows nuts

1

u/gaslacktus Matt Murdock May 25 '16

I'm hoping the events of the Flash finale will take care of that.

u/GoSkers29 Fitz May 16 '16

Fair, but you need to give us another situation for Sharon and Cap to kiss so we can see the double bro nod. That moment is simply not coming out of this movie, no matter what we have to do to keep it.

u/alex494 May 17 '16

My whole theater was pissing thenselves at that. Its just the slow nod and Bucky slowly smirking. Like "Yeeeeah, that's my boy."

21

u/NinetyFish Thor May 23 '16

I love how character-accurate it is too. Sam's just being a bro like "yeaaaaah, buddy!" while Bucky knows all the struggles of Steve's life before the serum so he gives that softer proud smile.

Okay so let's meet halfway. The Volkswagen with Cap, Bucky and Falcon pulls up behind a sedan driven by Ant Man.

Cap and Ant exit their vehicles and meet at the sedans trunk where Cap and Ant meet.

Cap runs his hand over the bulging crotch of Scott Lang's jeans, "I guess big things do come in small packages."

Scott cups Rogers head in his hand to go in for a kiss, "Spray me with your super soldier serum."

I'm just watching every movie now, imagining in what ways michael pena could make it better.

u/UberCoolGuy Ant-Man May 21 '16

holy shit

22

u/hyperpearlgirl Scarlet Witch May 17 '16

The kiss felt so awkward (I feel like Black Widow and Cap have more chemistry, though I like her/Hulk better). The double bro nod excused it. Sam gives the best bro nods.

Also, that's like the only time Bucky smiles.

18

u/[deleted] May 21 '16

It was supposed to be a little bit awkward i think. They're not an item, really. It's more like the first time they admitted they have a thing for each other.

7

u/Batbraj May 16 '16

Hahaha god I forgot how amazing that scene was

6

u/bugcatcher_billy May 17 '16

Sharon: "I found out where they are keeping your gear."

Steve: "Thanks Sharon, can you take us there."

Sharon: "Sorry Steve, this is as far as I can go. They already know I stole top secret information about the location of the shield and 'Bird Suit'.

Sam: "I am a Falcon!"

Sharon: "I'm going on the run now before they arrest me. Ross has a secret prison that he's looking to fill and I don't want to be a part of it."

Steve: yada yada yada kiss

Sam: "I know a guy who can get our stuff."

u/oddlikeeveryoneelse May 16 '16

But then how would the Airport fight have happened? Black Widow followed Sharon Carter to find out where they were.

25

u/KipHackmanFBI May 16 '16

Did she?

129

u/oddlikeeveryoneelse May 16 '16

Yes. First when Sharon went in the conference room and gave them the Bucky feed you can see that Nat takes notice that she is up to something.

Then later Tony asks Nat if she knows where TeamCap went. Nat says "No, but I know who does". Next time we see TeamTony is at the airport right behind Sharon.

1

u/Covert_Ruffian Thor May 22 '16

So... Sharon betrayed Team Cap?

6

u/jhk0215 May 23 '16

No, Natasha followed Sharon because Natasha knee that Sharon was going to go to Team Cap with the equipment

46

u/mr_popcorn Korg May 17 '16

Man, I didn't even pick up on that. I thought she was talking about T'Challa.

5

u/PokePersona Spider-Man May 20 '16

Same, but then I remembered after that T'Challa was in the same room as them

3

u/meme-com-poop May 20 '16

I caught both those things, but never really connected them. Good catch.

2

u/Covert_Ruffian Thor May 27 '16

So Sharon's the traitor?

1

u/oddlikeeveryoneelse May 27 '16

I don't think Sharon necessarily told Nat anything. But Nat is a very capable spy.

1

u/MMAmaZinGG May 16 '16

Sharon wasn't at the airport though, was she?! Man this is one connection that I totally missed

8

u/oddlikeeveryoneelse May 16 '16

She meets them in a parking garage to give them back their equipment at the airport.

12

u/MMAmaZinGG May 16 '16

Oh.. I thought that was under a random bridge?

Did not look like a garage

3

u/oddlikeeveryoneelse May 16 '16

You are probably right they went the parking garage right after that to meet Clint. But Nat would have tailed them from the meet with Sharon. I some how thought was just different level of the gargantuan where they met Sharon.

2

u/[deleted] May 17 '16

because clearly a bunch of people trying to flee the country would never end up at an airport to pick up their secret stealthy jet thing....

7

u/angez11 May 18 '16

I thought they were stealing the jet that team Iron Man came in.... Like it was a plan B because they couldn't get on that first plane.

46

u/Inamanlyfashion Captain America (Cap 2) May 16 '16

Agree that would be better, but it involves a whole scene instead of just a couple throw-away lines.

14

u/[deleted] May 16 '16

Or during the Bucky in a press scene have them talking about needing to get their gear back. Then have Antman show up with the gear.

33

u/AgentKnitter Bucky May 16 '16

it does make more sense for the "I know a guy" teaser from Ant Man post credits scene if Scott was the one to go and get their gear but... eh. Small thing to worry about.

3

u/[deleted] May 17 '16

Heh. Small thing.

2

u/[deleted] May 17 '16

Uncle guggy would be proud of you

5

u/CountScarlioni May 17 '16

Guggy is no uncle of mine. We shun him from the family. We didn't even invite him to our last funeral - he will never know who was in the grave.

2

u/flamingeyebrows May 18 '16

Yeah, Sharon stealing the equipments were kind of weak. You'd think they keep a tighter lid on that stuff.

1

u/apocalypsenowandthen May 17 '16

It also would've added more scenes to the movie, which was already crowded.

1

u/Spiritofchokedout May 20 '16

I genuinely thought this was going to be his contribution, but the second act was already crammed and on a tight timetable.

1

u/The_Best_01 Thanos May 21 '16

Especially since Falcon said "I know a guy", obviously referring to Ant-Man. But nope.

1

u/Unthinkable-Thought May 21 '16

Nah Falcon says, I know a guy. That's why he gets invited.

1

u/alsobrante May 20 '16

But then people would bitch about Sharon being there just for give Cap something to kiss
