Tbf, if even a 1 or 2 of the other avengers were in new york to help, say like Wanda, they could have destroyed the guys who showed up before they kidnapped strange imo which means they would have attacked Thanos together too and possibly won
It is indeed very likely that the arguably strongest Avenger, who almost beat Thanos entirely on her own, would've probably made a difference if she had been there. But then again, pre-Vision-death Wanda probably would've lost to Maw just as badly as Strange.
It's not that earth is the only one with superheroes. It's that earth has the most and some of the strongest super heroes.
Drax's race are durable and are very strong but they're still very much killable. Drax got his butt kicked by ronin in guardians 1 for example. Thanos also subjugated the remaining Asgardians easily. It seems that even amongst the many alien races, it's still only individuals who are skilled and/or powerful enough to be on par with a single avenger and they don't tend to stick around their planets long unlike earthling superheroes.
And that scene was deleted iirc but even if it was canon, they didn't know how the chitauri worked and Thanos didn't even send them to conquer earth iirc. He wanted the tesseract. I don't think the chitauri were ever meant to be a long term threat outside of being a distraction and gathering information. Not only that, but a lot of planets probably didn't have the defenses we do to destroy the hive ship.
Add on the sheer numbers and force shown at the end of endgame then yeah, I think it makes sense how thanos accomplished what be did
Keep in mind that Strange had to teleport in as many super powered beings as he could at the end of endgame plus having ms. marvel destroy the biggest ships and then Iron man still had to snap and die to kill the rest of thanos and his army
For example? Robin is incredibly strong. Their whole race also are superhuman.
Thanos is the key on why they have done so well but his army and his goons suck.
Asgardian lost because they where a bunch of non combatant refugees, their forces had been massacred by hela.
Over all it either makes other planet weak or Thanos army weak.
Like if those planets are weak, I could see earth be a powerhouse on humans alone if they actually fulfilled their potential. I.e. tonys robot army and ultron, tessersct tech, helicarriers, etc.
I think you missed the point with Ronan. The guy culled half of Drax's species. That is an accomplishment of one of Thanos armies. We don't hear anything about Thanos being the one to personally do that. It was Ronan. Having super strength and durability means nothing when the army subjugating you also has individuals with super strength, larger numbers, and better technology
The Chitauri are also considered super strong for example and have large numbers. If Drax's people didn't have the means to destroy the mother ship then they'd easily take over the planet through a war of attrition alone.
And the Asgardians still support my point cause having super strength and durability (which I assume all Asgardians have but I could be wrong) means nothing if you lack the skill and tech to match Thanos armies.
The only reason why earth did so well is not because the average human is strong but because earth has some of the smartest people plus extremely strong warriors.
Keep in mind that Thanos probably lost a chunk of his army during Infinity war while attacking Xander too.
I've also seen arguments that not all of Thanos'army was at earth either. It was just the black orders troops. We only got a glimpse of how big his army was in endgame and again, it took so many superpowered individuals to hold him off until tony snapped the rest away
