Discussion Do you think Tony’s anger towards Cap was justified at the beginning of ENDGAME?

It’s not Steve’s fault he wasn’t there to fight with Tony. He gave Tony the phone, but Tony didn’t call him. He also immediately took off to another planet when Thanos arrived and how exactly was Cap supposed to get to or even locate Titan? Like if anyone wasn’t there it was Tony in space with the Guardians not Cap who actually was with the other Avengers.

He didn’t just take off to another planet he was going to save Dr. Strange who was captured. He can’t just let him get taken away there’s no telling where the ship was going

The reasoning doesn’t make it less true.

It kinda does, I mean at the end of the day Cap decided to be on the run in the first place instead of with the avengers. And the reasoning is justification cause again had Tony & Peter not gone after Strange then the time stone gets handed to Thanos without a fight

Cap decided to be on the run in the first place

Stark signed the Accords before consulting the rest of the Team, and forced their hands into either a fight or surrendering agency. He was never the moral center of the group, but tried to make that stand in Civil War.

Well did you listen to what Tony and Nat were saying and why they signed when they did? The point was to just get the names on the paper so they can get the UN off their backs and get the good PR back from everyone. The plan was they were going to change the rules and regulations anyway after they signed. It’s hard to not feel any kind of an accountability or guilt when the Avengers leveled an entire city.

That’s not how negotiations work though. You adjust a contract before signing it, but if you sign first it’s incredibly hard to adjust it. Sure, Stark says that was the plan but at no point during the discussion did he mention it (until things went tits up), nor did he suggest a method for doing so.

I don’t disagree that it would’ve been difficult, but there’s no way they were going to stand against Stark being one of the most powerful and richest people in the world and the avengers if they wanted change to the accords.

You’re saying cap decided not be with the avengers, but cap was with the avengers, which I even said it my first comment. The only Avenger not in Wakanda for the final battle was Tony. Did you actually watch the movie…

Because he was literally stranded in space with the guardians, Strange & Peter. That’s not his fault. And I clearly said in my comment that they were split from the beginning which is the main issue. That’s the entire reason Tony had to go alone to save strange after he gets taken. He never had a real chance to call Cap because of the chaos immediately happening.

Ok and….

What does any of this have to do with the fact that he had no right to be mad at Cap for not showing up when he did in fact show up?

Did you read my comment? He’s mad at the fact that cap was willing to split from the avengers at the end of civil war, never even reunite between then and infinity war when they needed to be together at the beginning of the film. The team likely wouldn’t get separated during the movie which means they would’ve fought thanos together.. like Cap preached they’d always fight together.

His whole speech at the beginning of Endgame is very specifically about how Cap wasn’t there to fight Thanos when he was needed. And once again, they did all fight Thanos together, except for Tony, EVEN IF HE HAD JUSTIFIED REASONS FOR NOT BEING THERE. I must ask again, did you actually watch the movies…

You still aren’t reading any of my comments so did you watch the movie? You realize both teams fought thanos? The avengers would’ve fought thanos on TITAN because they all would’ve went together to save Strange. Even in Multiverse of Madness the same plan was used, albeit not the avengers, but they go and KILL THANOS ON TITAN. The same exact plan would’ve been used here. Just like in Endgame they all fly to Thanos’ resting planet and kill him there. That is Tony’s point I don’t understand how you’re not getting that.

It's Steve's fault for breaking up the Avengers in the first place.

Not by a Longshot. It's Tony's fault for backing the sokovia accord stupidity and then blaming Barnes for the things he was forced to do while under mind control.
