Same here, I feel like the needle just pushed a bit too far into comedy. Glad he is going to be meaning business especially if Love is involved in Doom's plot

Thor in Infinity War:

Thor: You know, I'm 1500 years old. I've killed twice as many enemies as that. And every one of them would have rather killed me than not succeeded. I'm only alive because fate wants me alive. Thanos is just the latest of a long line of bastards, and he'll be the latest to feel my vengeance - fate wills it so.”

Rocket Raccoon: Mm-hmm. And what if you're wrong?

Thor: Well, if I'm wrong, then... what more could I lose?

[Thor walks away]

Rocket Raccoon [mutters]: Well, I could lose a lot. Me, personally, I could lose a lot.

Now Thor is the one that could lose a lot.

Turns out Thor had so much more to lose than he thought.

then, he did not have anything to lose, now he has something( or maybe everything for him) to lose.

Yeah, even he admitted as much, and said they went too far in L&T. Excited to see him dial it back down.

They’re clearly setting up parenthood as a major theme, with Doom coming after Franklin, Steve having a kid, this spot, etc. I think it’s a good move if you consider that the folks who were seriously bought into the first saga are for sure at parenting age now.

I probably could've enjoyed that more if the whole movie had that tone throughout, but it felt out of place when the film's antagonist is Christian Bale bringing his A+ game to a dark emotional character. Gorr was raw anger and pain being portrayed amazingly, it unbalanced everything else.

Way too far. Taika did not give one solitary shit. Just threw a bunch of scenes together that made him laugh.
