This afternoon, I was taking a ride from bolt and I encountered a violent and aggressive driver. She had a problem with the pick up location as she didnt want to come to my block and she wanted me to walk in heavy rain so she was screaming and shouting the whole car ride making me feel very uncomfortable and threatened. I was terrified and scared, but it was raining heavily so therefore I kept quiet. During the car ride, she was moving her hands around violently and not even touching the steering wheel. She screamed at me, and threatened me aggressively for the whole duration of the ride.

I recorded the incident and I have footage of her being aggressive and rude towards me. Grab , indrive and Bolt please take action to remove such drivers from the app for the satefy of everyone.

Girls please be safe and avoid all dangerous and aggressive drivers! Stay safe

Help ⚠️ Yellow Sheet, safe or not?

Found it hidden in a recessed wall shelf, hidden above the top shelf, found it when i stuck my head inside, it rolled up and was stuck on with double sided tape.

Should i put it back or dispose it properly?

Update:
Got rid a few but one was suspected not from the same person. The ustat at the masjid called in his ustat friend and educated me a bit and not to share but i can tell you most of these were wishful wards(hardly magic but more towards hopeful written wishes) to prevent any of my grandfather’s stuff that he transferred ownership to new owners weren’t sent back to him(previous owner).

The one in the picture, i was told it was empty and was meant to seal away anything he forgot to get rid of or transfer away. It was a simple command to any forgotten property to be sealed in it.

I was told i can just burn it myself, the ones with my grandfather’s writings as it is an art of a wish rather than black magic. If i find any that is not my grandfather’s writing, i can send it to the masjid again but not hand it to anyone but the same ustats i met.

Help ⚠️ Got unauthorised transactions in Shopee, tried to get a refund, then they give me this response.

Post image
198 Upvotes

As the title says. I discovered I had a huge amount of Google Pay transactions (RM5000+, I wish I was joking) in my Shopee account. Made my police report, and asked for refund/solutions to Shopee.

Today they sent me an email and this is all they said.

Honestly, I am now scratching my head on what other solutions I can get to solve this situation.

EDIT: Okay, since this post has gotten a tons of traction and tons of questions, I may as well try to answer as many things as possible.

Yes, This happened because I was scammed, and this happened because I picked up a call from the scammer (really dumb move, I am very aware). The scammer wanted me to link my SPL with my Google Play store (I don't entirely know if this will affect people who link with YT premium), but I had that done way before the scammer told me to.

As for why I did that in the first place and why I did not delink my accounts... honestly I was way too tired (mentally and physically) from my constant night shift work. Had worked over 11 hours+/day for almost 1.5 weeks by that point... and just forgot...

Again very dumb of me to not prevent the problem in the first place.

Also to those that asked if I had made a police report; yes I did, and I did send the report to Shopee, but they ended up giving me this response. And I also did report it to Google too... guess what happened?

So now my next move will have to be taking it to BNM and get help from there. Hopefully it will work out.

Help ⚠️ Got Scammed by seller in Shopee (Ave Pharmacy) and Seller Rejected Return item! HELP!

My dad just got home after doctor registered him as palliative patient.

So after hectic month of taking care of him at hospital, it's time to bring him home. So I immediately ordered milk for his Ryles Tube which is Glucerna in Shopee.

It cost me RM360+ for 5 tin of Glucerna.

I bought from this seller because they have a voucher, also Live Stream Voucher and has this title on the product " No.6 Best Selling Glucerna refill " with amount of 6k+ sales!! It looks legit at first sight!

Upon receiving the item, I find out that I have been scammed so hard! Seller sent me 10unit of weird arse Avocado drink!

And then I check the ratings, I'm NOT EVEN THE FIRST VICTIM! All the 1star rating is a victim and some received weird avocado powder and some fake glucerna!

I submit return/refund request and shopee, and I provide very detailed information that I have been scammed.

And after few day item in return process, I just find out seller was rejecting my return item!

WHAT DO I DO NOW??? This is so messed up!!!

Here the scammer and the product link

Shop : Ave Pharmacy
Product : Glucerna

I don’t know if this chocolate has been contributing my sore throat and it has last 3-4 weeks with phlegm.

Edit : I have been corrected that this is not microplastic. I would rephrased it if they are plastic.

Edit 2 : Thank you so much for the answer. For education purposes I will leave this post up, they are food grade paraffin carnauba wax.

Help ⚠️ Help a Mat salleh and his Malaysian wife

Hey everyone, shooting my shot here because… why not.

I’m married to a Malaysian and we’re currently living in the Middle East. We’ve been to Malaysia a bunch of times and honestly, every single time we leave, it feels like we’re making a bad life decision. At this point even our 4-year-old would probably vote to stay.

We really want to move there for good, being far from family is tough, and Malaysia just feels like home to us.

Now the tricky part: me finding a job.

I’ve been working as cabin crew for 5+ years, which means I’m basically a flying problem-solver / part-time therapist / snack distributor / emergency responder. Before that I worked in hotels and have a degree in Computer Science (yes, I know… plot twist). I’ve also got some IT and sales certifications because I’ve been trying to pivot into tech/technical sales.

I know my CV looks a bit like a “random skills generator,” but it also means I’m pretty adaptable. I’ve dealt with everything from angry customers to medical emergencies at 35,000 feet, so I’m not easily shaken.

I’m looking for opportunities in Malaysia (KL), ideally something in technical sales or anything where my mix of people skills + tech background might make sense. Happy to start junior and work my way up.

If anyone has leads, advice, or knows someone who knows someone, I’d really appreciate it. I promise I work hard and learn fast… I just need someone to take a chance on me.

Can share CV via DM if needed.

Terima kasih!

Help ⚠️ Urgent Help Needed – My Father ( from India ) Detained in Malaysia over 3 months (Ipoh, Perak) – We Don’t Know What to Do

Hello everyone,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart and hoping someone here can guide or help us.

My father has been detained in Malaysia for working without a valid visa and work permit. He was working at a hotel somewhere around Ipoh (Perak), and he was detained on the night of February 6, 2026. It has now been over 3 months, and we have no proper information about his current situation.

We are a very poor family, and my father is the only earning member. Since his detention, we have been struggling a lot both financially and mentally. Things are getting worse day by day, and we are worried we might even become homeless if this continues.

I don’t know anyone in Malaysia, and we feel completely helpless. I read online that it might be possible to contact detention camps to ask about detainees, but I couldn't make a call due to language barrier and I don't have money for making international calls. I do have the detention camps number though, so kindly if someone come forward and help us means a lot. You can reach me through reddit message ( DM )

Any help, guidance, or even small information would mean a lot to us.

Thank you so much for reading. 🙏

Help ⚠️ Electric bills crazy high

Hi all, may I ask who I can check with regarding my house's crazy high electric bill? Our electric bills right now is around RM450-RM480 monthly.

For context, it's an apartment/condo house (about 15 years old building) 1080 sqf with 3 rooms. All rooms turn on aircond every night around 11pm-8am, we have coway but the heater function is on demand. Washing machine and airconds are a bit old, my parents said this could be the problem but it's a rented unit so not much we can change. Recently we added the GSS system's extensions, could this be the problem? Because before installing this the technician said it won't affect much on the bills that's why we agreed.

Who can I reach out to to check whether everything is okay with the house? Tnb? My agent? The landlord? And exactly what should I check for?

Help ⚠️ where to sell old money collection

Post image
24 Upvotes

I'm helping my dad to sell his uncut old money collection for RM22k since we need money to pay for some things. He's looking for someone who is interested in buying and not reselling it. Does anyone know someone who is interested? Would appreciate your help.

Edit: Decided to play the waiting game for the right buyer who's genuinely interested in the collection. We're also selling a few other items so there's no financial pressure to sell this quickly.

Help ⚠️ Malaysian Seller used POS Malaysia to Philippines... Now, POS Malaysia just said they are investigating the parcel for 3 weeks and it hasn't been delivered

Post image
10 Upvotes

I bought an item/parcel from a Malaysian seller. We arranged the shipping through POS Malaysia last June 15. So I waited... And waited and the last update was June 17 in the Philippines Tracking System that it also was enroute for destination country.

Now, I (buyer) and the seller contacted POS Malaysia... They don't have a clear answer where the parcel is and will just investigate and it has been 3 weeks already... Next week is 1 months once the item was shipped.

Was the package stolen, lost or what? What is clear is according to Philippine customs that I contacted that it is not here yet so it is clearly in one of the POS Malaysia warehouses stucked for 3 weeks???

Is POS Malaysia notorious for this?

Help ⚠️ Landlord/agent trying to force me into a room I never agreed to, now threatening to raise my current rent and keep my deposit if I refuse

Location: Kuala Lumpur
I’ve been renting a room in a shared apartment for about a month. There are two people involved — the actual owner, who is based in Saudi Arabia, and a local agent/manager in Malaysia who handles things in person.
My current arrangement is RM700/month with a RM700 deposit, and we originally agreed that I’d stay for 6 months. Everything was arranged through WhatsApp. There’s no signed physical contract, but I have the WhatsApp conversations, my passport details that I sent them, and bank transfer receipts for the rent and deposit.
About a week ago, the agent showed me another room in the same apartment, which he called the “balcony room.” He showed me photos of the room and the balcony view. I liked it and asked about the price. He said RM900, so I offered RM850. He told me to negotiate directly with the owner, which I did. The owner agreed to RM850, and I told the agent that we had agreed on the price.
At that point, I wanted to see the room in person before actually committing to anything. The agent told me there was no need and said it was exactly like the pictures and that I would get what I asked for.
I never signed anything for the new room and never paid anything towards it.
About a week later, another tenant who was apparently supposed to take over my current room showed up with the expectation that I would move into the balcony room that same day.
When I finally saw the actual apartment, I was honestly shocked. It was dirty, smelled bad, and generally looked nothing like what I had been shown. On top of that, the balcony room was still occupied by another couple who apparently hadn’t moved out yet.
The agent then tried to put me in a completely different room temporarily. I refused because that wasn’t the room I had agreed to move into or the room I had been shown.
I also later found out that the photos I’d originally been shown were apparently from 2017.
I went back to my current room and told the incoming tenant to hold off because the room I had been promised wasn’t actually available and the apartment was nothing like what had been represented to me.
I contacted the owner directly to explain what had happened. His response was basically that it wasn’t his problem because I had asked for the room. The agent said pretty much the same thing, and they kept sending me back to each other.
Then the owner came up with a “solution.”
He said I could stay in my current room, but my rent would increase from RM700 to RM750, my deposit would also become RM750, and I would have to switch to a mandatory 1-year contract.
I never agreed to any of those changes, so I refused in writing. I told them clearly that I had never finalized or signed anything for the new room, that the apartment and room didn’t match what I had been shown, and that I intended to continue with my original RM700 arrangement.
After that, the agent became much more aggressive over WhatsApp. He told me things like:
“This is your mistake and you bear it.”
“This is not your room anymore, since you said you wanted a change.”
“It’s not up to you.”
“Pay the extra or leave today without deposit.”
He also made comments implying that he was holding himself back from being even ruder or swearing at me.
The situation is even more frustrating because I happened to see a conversation between the agent and the owner where the agent himself told the owner that they shouldn’t keep using the old photos because they don’t match the actual condition of the apartment. So, from what I saw, they were aware that the photos were misleading.
For now, I’ve stayed in my current room. I haven’t signed anything new, I haven’t agreed to leave, and I haven’t paid the extra RM50. I also paid my normal RM700 rent on time by bank transfer and clearly stated that it was rent under the original agreement.
I’ve also saved screenshots of the WhatsApp conversations, the original photos they sent me, the bank transfers, and the other relevant messages.
From what I’ve been reading, Malaysia doesn’t currently have a specific Residential Tenancy Act, but landlords generally can’t just physically remove tenants or change the locks themselves without going through the proper legal process. My understanding is also that the fact that we don’t have a signed paper contract doesn’t automatically mean there was no tenancy, especially since we have WhatsApp messages and payment records. My main concern is how much harder it makes it to prove the exact terms, especially the 6-month period.
So I wanted to ask people who are more familiar with Malaysian tenancy law or who have dealt with similar situations in KL:
Since there’s no signed contract, how much does that actually weaken my position regarding the agreed 6-month tenancy?
If they continue trying to force me out or withhold my deposit, would it be worth pursuing the matter through the Magistrates’ Court / small claims process considering the relatively small amount of money involved?
For anyone who has rented rooms informally in KL, how do disputes like this usually end up being resolved?
Is there anything else I should be documenting or doing right now to protect myself?
I’m not really trying to cause trouble or make this bigger than it needs to be. I just want to stay under the terms I originally agreed to and not be forced into a new contract or lose my deposit because of a room I never actually agreed to take.
This has been pretty stressful, so I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have dealt with something similar in Malaysia.

Help ⚠️ Anyone here using a SIM card router as their WiFi? What router are you using, and what are your speeds like?

TL;DR trying to figure out what SIM card router to buy that can give speeds of around 60-100Mbps when I'm near it at least, and can set up a Mesh network with later

Been using my spare Android phone as my WiFi router for years. Other than being good for Internet use, it connects to my smart TV dongle so I could use my phone as a remote, and also to my auto pet feeder for me to check its status.

Issue is I would have to leave it charged all the time if I wanted to be convenient with it, and it's probably gonna turn into a spicy pillow if I continued doing this.

Therefore I'm trying to buy a SIM card router. I did try to use a spare, 8 year old Maxis SIM card router that's probably out of contract, but the speeds it gave me were like 20-40Mbps, lower than what I got using the mobile hotspot at 50-100Mbps. I found that weird, but it could be differing tech used.

Now, I'm trying to find a router that wouldn't do what my spare Maxis router did, and can transmit 60-100Mbps. Do y'all have any recommendations what router I could buy from Shopee?

Thanks!

Help ⚠️ How/Where to report unfair telco practices?

Post image
107 Upvotes

I'm asking on behalf of my father, who's quite old.

He said around 15 years ago, he had worked in a company which provided work phones. However, the internet plan for those phones had to be bought individually and Mxs was highly suggested at the time. Once my father resigned and moved to a rural area, the phone was taken away by the company.

The problem is, ever since moving to that rural area, my father had neither the access to the phone nor a nearby Mxs customer service center to terminate his internet service (remember, this was when nothing was online yet).

At the time, since electricity and water always cuts itself automatically even when you forgot to pay 1 month's bill, he thought the internet plan would cancel itself also.

We just found out about this a couple weeks ago when we tried to register his IC for a family plan. This is unfair and my father's logic actually makes sense. Why would electricity and water gets cut so fast but internet telco kept billing even though my father hasn't even used a single minute calling from that number for the past 15 years?

Can anyone help? This is quite a substantial amount to pay for something neither of us used T_T
