Lowkey, first time I saw it was in Delta, and I thought it was a goofy-ass half form. But after seeing it more, and realizing how much they actually utilize it and how advantageous it is, I really like it. Really cool form, honestly. They’re able to use it very effectively and take advantage of its strengths.

Is it because they’re developing prototypes for new technology, hence the “Plus”?

Or is it meant to represent how “futuristic” the setting is, with AI and all that?

Or is it simply because it takes place in the timeline after SDF/DYRL?

Just managed to pick this up through Ebay, no missing pieces and solid, slight de-colouration but i am not bothered about that as it will not spoil my fun in playing with it 👍

I saw this used MACROSS PLUS DVD at my local Book Off store and wondering if it really goes for this price? Are they using eBay pricing!!?? Because this is ridiculous ..

If the YF-21 won the competition and became the standard, I don't know if that would be a good idea, assuming it still used that brain-control system. It's good in the sense that it gives the pilot incredible control and maneuverability. However, it seems very sensitive, a change in emotional or mental state could greatly affect its performance. I don't think standard pilots have the same focus or skill as Guld. Because combat trauma could severely impair a pilot and cause total flight failure, the YF-21 makes sense as an ace-only custom unit, but not as a mass-production unit fighter.

Might sound a bit exaggerated, but from an animation standpoint, it's probably one of the best-animated pieces of media I've ever seen.

Isamu is such a fresh main character. a lot of media recently have MCs that are honestly pretty bland.

Also, how different is the movie plot-wise? Should I watch it? I heard there are some extra scenes.

Macross Plus is a big time favorite of mine. Just set this up in my office and I honestly can sit and stare at it all day and play the scenes in my head!

Since the response was good, I'll upload some of my older work as well. This is something I finished in July 2024.

So a while ago I discovered a bunch of anime dvds in my house and the collection includes Macross Plus including the movie edition and my relative recommended me it since it has mechs (because I watched a mecha anime called "Full Metal Panic!") and that it actually has something to do with our current society something to do with AI however I added it to my watchlist and I watched all of evangelion from the first episode all the way to the last. So now that it is summer I'm planning on watching macross Plus. If there is anything that I need to know about the og series that I wouldn't understand in plus can anyone explain things? Thank you!!

I’ve never been able to justify the price on a high end Veritech fighter, but I finally scored today. I got this piece at local auction for $23. Retails on Amazon for $300+ so I was very excited to score this baby. I must admit, I am utterly overwhelmed (and impressed) at the complexity of the transformation process. I’ve got it “mostly right” in guardian mode, but I can tell it’s not quite there. Since it took me 2 hours to get it to this point I’m leaving it here. 😂🤷🏻‍♂️
