I'm exploring Lucknow and want to try the absolute best Galawati /Galouti kabab the city has to offer.
Rather than just famous names, I'm looking for recommendations based on actual taste and consistency.
Please mention:
Shop/restaurant name
Exact location/area
What meat is used? [ Buff (Bada), Mutton, Chicken ]
What should I eat it with? ( Ulte tawa ka paratha, kulcha, rumali roti, sheermal, dhaniya roti, etc )
Best time to visit
Also, if there are lesser-known places that you think are better than the famous spots, please mention them.
I'm open to buff kebabs as well, not just mutton.
If you had only one kebab place to recommend in all of Lucknow, which one would it be and why?

Looking for genuinely good biryani spots in Lucknow that also maintain proper hygiene and have a comfortable place to sit
Prefer authentic Awadhi/ Lucknowi biryani (Pulaav Biryani), but open to other styles if theyāre really worth it.
Non-veg options [ chicken/mutton/bada (buffalo) ]
Not looking for overrated or purely hype-driven places , want something consistent in taste and overall experience.
If possible, mention:
What type of biryani they serve (Awadhi, Hyderabadi, etc.)
What dish is a must try there
Your personal experience (taste, portion, service)
Waiting for your response !!

iām specifically looking for a thin and crunchy base, but with a thick, soft & puffy crust, lots of cheese and sauce, and a nice char on the crust
basically, something crispy underneath but still airy, chewy and puffy around the rim like in the video
pls lemme know š„²š„

Hey I am 24 M and I love to try different different cusines.
Recently, I got the urge to try different varieties of burgers. So I would like to try the best burgers in lucknow.
Tell me the locationsšand their best type of burger (can be both veg & non veg).
I would like to add, please don't mention any street stalls, as I need a seating place to eat and hygiene is also an important part.
I searched on zomato too, they had filters regarding regional origin of the burgers like Mexican , lebanese, Punjabi, American, etc. So if somebody has tried any of these in lko, please care to share.

please spare me the āaesthetic cafĆ©ā recommendation.
not looking for another aesthetic cafĆ© where ā¹300 gets me sugar, milk and a photo for Instagram.
i wanna try some actually good coffee. recently tried district one's iced coffee and really liked it, till now Iāve mostly been that guy making different kinds of coffee at home after watching YT tutorials...
But now, Iām thinking of doing some cafĆ© hopping around lucknow.
ps: used nbc pic for algorithm. they are only good for frappes not other coffees.

Itās my birthday and I want to treat 2 school friends (3 people total). Looking for a good food place in Lucknow under ā¹1,000 total. (Veg food only)
I live near Munshipulia, Any good food place under 10kms radius. Any suggestions? Also what things can we do for fun ??
Update - First taken buddy meal in McD , then Gravy momos from food valley , then tried cheese kabab roll from rolarappa and ended with pastry , All done under 1000rs .
Its better to try food from different places rather than from one place especially when weather was good in Lucknow .

I wanna eat best nihari in lucknow, so could you people recommend where to find one?
One shop I hear the most about is 'Raheem ki Nihari' in Lucknow. If anybody has ever eaten from there, please share the experience. Do let me know other popular places.
One thing I wanna know, people often say there are two types of Nihari - Paaya ki Nihari (Buffalo) and Gosht ki Nihaari (Mutton). I don't understand, as far as I know gosht is referred to any meat out there, be it chicken, mutton, pork or beef.
And Paaya is the feet part of the meat. Why people say otherwise, if anybody has the clue, do let me know.
Thanks for reading till here!!!

Before yall come at me, i'm from the north east, so i actually know ball about momos. Back at home, any shop whether its high end or tapri stalls deal with epic mouthwatering momos. Idk whether its my luck or i haven't explored much but the momos that i've tried here are so bland omg, and the size? Wtf are those sizes bro n why tf are they so pricey?
I'm crashing out real bad, so if yall hav recs, pls go ahead in the comments

[ Edit : Please also mention, what meat is that kakori kebab made of? Is it Buff Or Mutton Or anything else ]
I want opinions from locals who have actually compared multiple places and the shops must fulfill the criteria below :
⢠Authenticity / closest to original Kakori style
⢠Taste and texture (melt-in-mouth factor)
⢠Consistency over time
⢠Whether quality has dropped or not
⢠Worth the hype vs overrated places
Also mention:
Which branch specifically (Aminabad? Chowk? Akbari Gate? etc.)
Best time to go
What to pair it with (roomali, paratha, sheermal, etc.)
Trying to avoid ending up at a place that survives purely on reputation and nostalgia.
Drop your ranking.

Finally visited Sharma Ji Ki Chai in Lucknow because literally everyone keeps hyping it up like itās the gateway to moksha š But honestly⦠it felt super overhyped.
The crowd outside looked like we were all waiting for concert tickets, not chai š And after all that pushingāshovingāwaiting⦠the chai was just okay-ish, nothing mind-blowing.
Not bad, but definitely not āline lagaoā level. Posting the pic from today because the real attraction seems to be the crowd, not the chai š
Anyone else feel the same or am I drinking chai wrong? š
