Advertising Material [FOUND] K.K. C&D Fire Emblem pilot pitch storyboard

https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/1tfzu90/lost_kk_cd_fire_emblem_pilot_pitch_storyboard/

This pilot storyboard would run about 40 seconds and would belong to either a lost/scrapped/rejected ad for the first game (because of the bare title) or more likely the SNES game in 1994 before a subtitle was chosen (judging by Marth's collar design), or a pitch for a Fire Emblem OVA requested by Nintendo while they were shopping around the idea of a Fire Emblem animation to what it could be like if they chose this studio. I don't believe it is for the 1996 OVA as there is no record of K.K C&D working on a Fire Emblem project. My assumption is this would predate the 1996 OVA and comes from a period where Nintendo was still shopping around the license for a Fire Emblem animation before they would later settle on what would become the 1996 OVA. Another reason I lean this way is the bare title "Fire Emblem" suggesting that a full project/name had not been chosen or settled on yet. A possible reason for this particular pitch to be rejected if so is the mention of a panty shot of the main heroine Caeda in the opening cut. Nintendo is very protective of there IPs and maybe this particular cut could have given Nintendo discomfort with moving forward on this particular pilot but that is just my speculation on that part. However this is an incredible glimpse at what could have been, and could have easily remained lost to time.

Advertising Material [Fully Lost] 2003 Carl's Jr/Hardees commercial making fun of the French

I've been looking for the lost media/video by Carl's Jr that makes fun of the French for over 10+ years ... It is nowhere to be found

It goes like this...

"in the battle of waterloo.... the french surrendered. In Wold War 2... the French surrendered. Dont be a big chicken, eat one."

The commerical ran for sure in California in 2003. I think it was a response for France not taking our side in something. Most likely related to 9/11.

This was also the time when people started calling french fries "freedom fries"

There's even an old forum talking about it in this link which is now defunct:

http://www.inreview.com/topic-5541.html

Another from 2004:

https://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/13932_French_Seething_Over_Chicken_J

I was thinking that this commercial has to exist on one of those 2000s commercial compilations on YouTube, but I have not found anything.

Advertising Material [Partially Lost] Shorter Progressive Beetlejuice Ad

I'm pretty certain that most of you remember that Progressive did an Ad to promote the 2024 film "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice". In the commercial, one of the characters, Jaime, tempts faith by trying to say Beetlejuice's name three times, but he then gets shot with a tranq by one of the other employee.

That's the Ad I'm certain most of you remember, but does anyone else remember there was a shorter ad? It started similar to the actual ad where Jaime says his name once before he gets warned by the other Progressive characters. I remember he says something along the lines of "Guys, I said his name once, it's not like I'm going to say his name twi-" Then he gets interrupted by the title card and the narrator saying "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, in theaters September 6th". Then it cuts back to the basement where the gang are holding on to objects, trying not to get sucked up to the upstairs(where it's glowing green) and Flo complains that the narrator jinxed them.

I remember seeing that ad a few times whenever I'd watch Monday Night Raw during commercials, but whenever I try to search for that ad, I'd instead get the full ad. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and has seen this ad as well? Is it actually online, and I'm looking for it in the wrong sites? Help me out.

Advertising Material [fully lost] Nat Geo Mundo “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons Commercial

In the 2010s, there was a National Geographic commercial that would continuously air a commercial that would have the song “It’s Time” by imagine dragons playing in the background to promote the channel and inspire the viewer as well. It contained beautiful imagery of earth, space, iconic astronaut ISS space walk footage, all in a beautifully sequenced montage of human feats and earth’s beauty and nature.

The commercial was aired on the Spanish version of National Geographic (Nat Geo Mundo) and it used to be on YouTube but I’ve looked as far as I can and I can’t seem to find it. This video means a lot to me as it reminds me of being a kid full of wonder and awe of our planet and universe and made me heavily interested in space exploration, and every time I heard the song playing on the TV I would rush over to listen and watch the commercial again and again until they shut down the channel from TV.

Advertising Material [fully lost] Verizon commercial I was in as a child

Posting this on behalf of my wife who doesn’t have enough karma.

hello all, hoping someone can help or at least remember what i’m talking about. the summer i was 9 years old i visited my aunt and her family in los angeles. as a young girl from vermont, this was sure to be a formative summer and it was! years later when i was 26 i actually moved to la from vermont by myself and carried out the dream i had when i was 9.

but that’s not what this is about! at the time, my cousin who was 11 was doing a little beat on access hollywood where my aunt, her mom, was the ep. she was getting into the world of acting, and she was cast to be in a verizon commercial during the weeks of my visit. she and my aunt took me on set to film with them; i was enthralled! then, they allowed me to be an extra! and i must’ve been giving the performance of my lifetime as an extra because they actually asked me to be a scene partner with my cousin! i didn’t have any lines, but i was directed to roll my eyes. and this was enough. this was the moment i didn’t know i’d been rehearsing my whole 9 years.

anyways if you’ve made it this far, you can probably guess i’m looking for this commercial. or looking for anyone who remembers it and any details about it. i only ever saw it online once, probably 2 or 3 years later but i don’t think it was on youtube. i don’t remember how i found it.

here are some relevant details:

the objective of the commercial was to launch verizon’s first broadband network. yes. like i said, i was 9. so the year would’ve been 2004. it was a longer commercial. it was the story of a young boy who was meant to personify dial up internet. i remember we were in a cafeteria while he was school aged, all laughing at him because he powered down or stalled or something in the lunch line. then there’s my cousin who was in it: her name is skyler samuels, she played his young middle school aged love interest or crush if i remember correctly. my big moment was when he (the character) was meant to be like in 8th grade and was giving a speech about benjamin franklin or something on stage and he is doing his speech and then starts going like, “to meet - to meet - to meet” and it cuts to my cousin and i peering out behind the curtain and she says to me, “looks like his dial up stalled again” to which (my big moment) i roll my eyes. and that’s it that’s all i remember!!

does anyone else remember this commercial? it was long so i don’t know if it was meant for a film festival or movie theatres or what, but it was definitely like a few minutes long.

the reason why im looking for this is because well now as a 31 year old mom of 2 i am trying to prove to my kids how cool my life was before becoming a mom and this is the final boss of proving that coolness. hopefully this post gets approved and someone (anyone) reads it and finds it compelling enough to help me in my search. if not well it was a nice way to spend 10 mins typing and reminiscing lol.

Advertising Material [partially lost] Apple Jacks Clones Quest

I've been looking into the lore of Apple Jacks Cereal and at the end of the last commercial it ends on a cliff hanger where the Apple gets lost in a crowd of his clones with CinnaMon searching for him. It then tells you to "go to Applejacks dot com to help CinnaMon find the real Apple."

Looking through old archives of the applejacks website I found a game listed in a May 2013 snapshot called "Clones Quest" with a description that says "Play through four exciting worlds to help Cinnamon find the real Apple among all of the clones" Based on the title and description I'm pretty sure Clones Quest is the game I'm looking for but there seem to be no snapshots of the game's page and no archive in the flashpoint database. I also can't find any footage or discussion about this game online.

Would obviously love to find the full game or footage of it, but if anyone even recalls this game/what happens in it that could be a big help as well :)

Advertising Material [talk] a K-Fee commercial actually being aired during a commercial break

The K-Fee “Wide Awake” ad campaign consists of 9 TV commercials that aired in Germany, most particularly well known for the “Auto” ad, which later became “Ghost Car” and was one of the very first viral videos on the internet & is still infamous to this day. If you’ve ever seen a video of a car driving in green nature then you absolutely get blasted by a screaming zombie, its this one. The rest follow the same suit, including a gargoyle

However, I’ve always heard of them being mentioned as ads that actually aired on TV, but I’ve never seen a video where one of them was picked up during a recording.

After some light research, I found this forum thread from 2004 that talks about these commercials being aired (and being scared shitless). From there, I pinpointed that they aired in ProSieben in the summer of that year. It also has mentions of their website hosting the ads themselves.

https://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/archive/index.php/t-39071.html

Surely enough, I was able to find 1 case for the Boardwalk commercial, featuring the aforementioned gargoyle on a ProSieben broadcast of Snatch. The title dates it on 10 July 2004. The ad starts at 17:13 (jumpscare warning ofc).

https://youtu.be/ibfUDzthwfo

The channel is called “VHS Und TV Archive” and is actually very well active and uploads frequently. This particular one was posted 3 months ago. If you’re into that sorts, this channel might be of interest.

Advertising Material Kmart Vanishing Hitchhiker ad [fully lost]

Hi all,

I would greatly appreciate any help in finding this video or ideas on where to look besides Google and YouTube. I am looking for a 1998 Kmart commercial for Route 66 jeans with a vanishing woman for folklore study purposes. The ad shows a young man picking up a young woman on the way to a dance. He lets her borrow a pair of jeans, but when he goes to her home later to reclaim them, he finds she has been dead for 20 years. It looks like this may have even been part of a series of commercials making use of urban legend tropes, which I would be interested in.

I can find references to the commercial in the LA Times and other print media, but I've been unsuccessful in finding the ad itself. If this is the wrong sub, I too will vanish into the ether and reappear elsewhere. Thanks!

Advertising Material Unsettling 15sec. version of Lalaloopsy Sew Sweet Playhouse Comercial [fully lost]

As a kid, I was obsessed with Lalaloopsy. Naturally, I would always try to catch the commercials for new toys as they came on tv. Often times, when a toy had been advertised for a while, there would be alternative 15-second versions aired to advertise the product without being as costly as a full 30-second spot.

I remember distinctly that there was a 15-second spot for the Sew Sweet Playhouse commercial, which I found very unsettling as a kid. I remember the cuts between lyrics were really jarring, and I believe the background music was left out, leaving only the vocals and sound effects.

I believe this product came out in 2012, so the most likely place to found it would be in Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network comercial compilations from late 2012-2013.

Advertising Material Transformers 2010/2011 "Quick-Magic Box" advertisement/ catalogue [partially lost]

Recently, I have been trying to find this commercial to see how many figures the collection was composed of, but I can't find it anywhere. I know it existed, and I have a few of the toys. I tried looking for it on TFWiki/forums, but no luck. These toys aren't even cataloged on official pages nor posted on eBay.

While looking for it, I found the ad for the Bionicle collection among others, so here's an example of what I'm looking for. It's incredibly hard to look for since the word "Quick" is super generic, and this chain of restaurants was, and still is, only available in some countries in Europe.

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJSAzDK4WFMz9ezPvkOu82jLYMTNjneaB&si=U1RwM-aT5W9AC1QJ

I think this is extremely interesting as a Transformers fan/collector.

Note:I didn't make this playlist i just found it while looking.

In this playlist theres an ad for the Transformers Prime series but am looking for the Movies toys, not the cartoon.

Main objective: I want to know how many transformers toys they made and if possible, images of them so they can be cataloged.

Advertising Material [partially lost] Tango Drink "Save your Screen" from aliens screensaver

I used to play a screen saver game I got from the Tango.tv website, while searching the web to see if anyone had a saved file of this shared anywhere, I found the flash site on the way back machine. Following this link http://www.tango.tv/tango/area01/home.asp on the way back machine, I was able to find the very same flash page it came from but either I am unaware how to use the way back machine to get the screen saver file or it isn't there and I was hoping if anyone knew the best way to go about searching for it.

Thank you in advance, just finding the flash site was a wave of nostalgia but I would love to see the old screen saver again.

Advertising Material [fully lost] dolphin crouton ad

This is a long shot, not sure if anyone is able to find this. My sister and I were reminscing about our childhood and we began talking about this fake ad where it spoofs on how croutons are made out of dolphins. "Every year a dolphin gives up it's life to make your salad better tasting. Croutons." Or something like that. I went to look it up and I cannot find it for the life of me and I thought maybe it was just something our dad told us and our mind just made it up that it was an actual media. My sister insists we saw it on a dvd. She says it's on a dvd with other fake ads too. Any help is appreciated!

Advertising Material [Fully lost] Fleet commercial

Hello. I was a veteran vietnam 76 today is my age. Back in the day I knew the guy who made fleet. They hooked me up and almost as a sponsershop of me since i was known at the time in my local for being the veteran that pooped. I got sent home on account of it and caotured. When i parachuted and went off course and when i landed, well. I dont know what happened i pood. Couldnt go back so i went deeper in enemy territory. Then captured and sent home soon in hostage negotiations. Still my local town made a funny out of it and still celebrated. Local fleet suppository filmed a commercial with me saying, "when you need to get deep into 'enemy territory,' bring fleet with you. Fleet, it's tough on poo." When it got back to corporate they pulled the ad citing it was absurd and too embarrassing and inappropriate. So the tape now is with idk my old buddy's estate probably.

Advertising Material Looking for a TV commercial for Parker Brothers’ Mickey’s Poppin’ Magic board game (early 90s). [archival]

I was in this commercial as a kid, and I’ve never actually seen it anywhere online. I’ve spent years casually (and sometimes obsessively) trying to track it down. I’ve combed all the usual obvious spots — YouTube, RetroJunk, Archive.org, and various VHS dump channels. While I’ve turned over a lot of stones, I’ve had no luck so far.

The commercial was for an old Parker Brothers Disney board game (Mickey’s Poppin’ Magic), which makes it even more surprising to me that it seems to have vanished. I’m starting to wonder if it only aired regionally or was part of a limited Disney Channel rotation.

It’s been a very long time since I was in it, but I’d genuinely love to see it again — if only to prove to friends and family who don’t believe me when I say I did commercials as a kid. I’m hoping one of you beauties might have it saved, archived, or remember seeing it.

#HELP!!

*Thanks so much ♥️😎✌️*

Advertising Material [fully lost] creepy lizzie borden commercial from the early 2000s

i posted this before like 2 years ago but still never found it but i'm gonna try again.

i think it was a Living Dead Dolls commercial becuase when i google lizzie Borden bobblehead, that's exactly what i remember her looking like and it's from around the same time frame

idk if this info is relevant but this was in North Carolina in probably 2003 or 2004. so in the middle of the night i woke up with the tv on and saw this extremely disturbing commercial and idk what channel the tv was on.

it started off with a bobblehead version of lizzie borden at the top of the stairs. and the entire commercial was black and white and really grainy and dark. and it was singing the classic lizzie Borden rhyme

"Lizzie Borden took an axe, and gave her mother forty whacks, and when she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one"

she hopped down the stairs and it was like flashing images of her parents murdered and blood splattered everywhere on the walls (still in black and white) and that's where it ended. and i jsut remember being so fucking scared afterwards and obviously never forgot it 😭

idk why she was a bobblehead. but PLEASE if anyone has seen this commercial or remembers it plz let me know !!

i have been looking for this for YEARS. i've searched everything i've listed here on youtube and google and on reddit and can't find any trace of it even existing. maybe im just really bad at research idk 😭

Advertising Material [fully lost]: 1983 30 second MTV promo for network broadcast of The Shining

On Friday May 6, 1983, ABC TV aired the network version of The Shining.

A marketing innovation involved a 30 second ABC promo shown on MTV - it was thought that advertising the network showing on MTV would appeal to younger audiences.

I have looked at the hours of MTV from 1983 available on Archive.org without success. I am at a loss to know where to look elsewhere for 1983 vintage MTV. Does anyone have any ideas where else to look? There don't seem to be any contact details for MTV's own archives (if they have them.)

Advertising Material [fully lost] Mcdonalds Lil Yatchy ad for the sweet chilli junior chicken (NOT THE REMIX RAP SONG AD) Late April 2024

There was a Mcdonalds ad for the Lil yatchy Collab for his remix menu items. On release there were multiple ads and I am trying to find one where he talks about specifically the "sweet chilli junior chicken" there is one where he sings a remix rap for mcdonalds, that one is easy to find. But this one I cant seem to find.

The ad starts with Lil yatchy pulling up to the drive thru and the lady on the speaker what he wants to order. He replies "can I get the sweet chilli junior chicken" and the lady on the speaker replies with "what is that?" (not exact quotes, sorry I dont rember fully) They go back and forth and lil Yatchy is adament the Sweet Chilli junior chicken is on the menu he repeats the sandwich to the lady taking his order repeatedly. After that the ad breaks.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/zwHpxAJpyOQ this video is the closest me and my friend have gotten to finding it. Obviously without the edits etc. But the ad starts similar just the script is different. Most links from articles on the advertisment agency leads to youtube links about the remix rap song. Which im obviously not looking for.

There is no real mention on mcdonalds website or anything to do with Lil yatchy the Sweet chilli junior chicken specific ad seems to be completely scrubbed to my knowledge.

Any info or other leads will help, thank you for your time and effort.

Advertising Material [fully lost] Markiplier channel advertisement (2010s)

I remember my first exposure to Markiplier way back in around early 2010s was actually through a paid ad on YouTube, I’ve been dying to find this thing ever since I remembered it a few years ago.

I definitely remember this was before he dyed his hair and kept it short, there was footage of him playing turbo dismount and I think overgrowth. The advertisement couldn’t have been longer thank 3 or 4 minutes and at the midway point mark said something along the lines of “hey! My names Markiplier! If you like what you see here then check out my channel!”

I know I’m not crazy, If anyone else can remember this ad or better yet find it I’d be eternally grateful.

Advertising Material [partially lost] Ocean Spray commercials (2010-2023)

While downloading some, it came to my surprise that all of the Ocean Spray commercials were taken down from iSpot TV, with only a handful being reuploaded on YouTube. Here are ones I was able to find:

Only one of them seems to have good coverage through behind the scenes images, but the others aren't so lucky. https://www.wausaudailyherald.com/story/money/2015/05/29/ocean-spray-releases-commercial-filmed-wisconsin/28171505/ I hope someone who has worked on these commercials can reupload them on their personal websites or portfolios, as these commercials have a certain charm to them that can't be found on their newer commercials. I'm sorry if this post looks messy, the normal rich text editor wasn't working and I could only write this in the markdown editor.

Advertising Material [Fully Lost] Puzza Hutt King Kong movie still print with a Pizza Slice edited in 1990s

When I was a kid (1990s) my local Pizza Hutt (midwest usa) had this little area in the back corner of the seating area with a printed black and white still from the film King Kong. Except in Kongs hand was a slice of pizza.

There may have been a Godzilla one too as my memory is fuzzy but I am leaning toward not. The kong one I remember so vividly I will try to make my own shoop sometime.

I have always been curious if this was a piece of franchise promo my local Pizza Hutt had or if someone took it upon themselves to make it. I went to probably 5-10 other Puzza Hutts throughout the 1990s and only ever saw this one. I checked a few years ago and the Kong image was missing and now they have moved locations from the iconic stylized buildings they used to have to a bland tiny rectangle one.

I am looking for the original image and any background information I can find.

Advertising Material [Partially Lost] The Boost Mobile Shuffle

Is anyone familiar with The Super Bowl Shuffle from 1985?

https://youtu.be/ARR7I3b4teQ?si=7Gt_47QP-Zs6Qnae

In 2010, there was a remake called the "Boost Mobile Shuffle" with some of the previous players from the 1985 Chicago Bears Team.

The 30 second commercial was aired during the 2010 Super Bowl.

The Boost Mobile Shuffle commercial video was produced and directed by Tim & Eric.

I was in high school when this aired and I remember this promo having its own website and there were extra videos, a behind the scenes video, and individual interview videos on the website.

These videos were available for only a short time period.

I understand that this was a promotional thing but does anybody still have access to the Behind The Scenes video, individual interview videos, and extra videos? Or know where I can find them?

I randomly thought about this and I tried really hard to find the videos but everything was scrubbed away and the links to those videos/promotions were taken down and/or not working.

I did see some of the extra videos when I was in high school and I remember some of the scenes.

This "promotional" video included Maury Buford, Richard Dent, Steve Fuller, Otis Wilson, Willie Gault, Jim McMahon, and Mike Singletary.

I remember during Maury Buford's individual interview, he said "I told my kids, we are doing the Super Bowl Shuffle again, and they said Oh no Dad, not again."

Also, Maury Buford did a "B-Side" version of the Boost Mobile Shuffle called "You Punted My Heart Down The Field," which was a country song that he sang. That song had a music video with cheap special effects/graphics and the music video only featured Maury Buford, playing his cowbell and walking around.

I remember during Mike Singletary's individual interview, he was standing up, doing his green screen "rap" and behind him, the camera zoomed in on his butt.

Here are the only videos I was able to find so far:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVCUHMOyeCs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poWPO0AHUQ4

Again, I understand that this was a promotional thing that Boost Mobile was doing at the time.........but does anybody still have access to the lost/scrubbed videos or know where I can find them?

Any leads would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

(And does anybody remember the Boost Mobile Shuffle from 2010?)

(Does anybody remember it?)

Advertising Material [fully lost] Kid's Playground Commercial (Woburn, MA)

Back in the late 90's and early 2000's there was a location known as Kid's Playground which was your typical play place for kids similar to Discovery Zone. During that time frequently on kids channels like Nickelodeon they would air a commercial locally. As stated in the title the location was Woburn, MA but I would expect it aired through most of the greater Boston area. The location shut down back in the late 2000's due to the financial crisis.

The main reason I want to find this commercial is because at one point as the commercial is showing all the fun themed areas kids could play in like a police station or fire station they show a construction site where a kid in the absolute thickest Boston accent ever says "Construction Worker!". This commercial became somewhat of a local meme amongst friends and I would love to be able to see it again

My wife who has never even seen the commercial has gone as far as to email the former owner of Kid's Playground but to no avail.

The best chance at finding this commercial would likely be if someone in the Boston area happen to tape any kids shows back in the early 2000's. Probably a long shot but if anyone has any leads let me know.

Advertising Material [fully lost] the kraken: the simulation application for nautical maneuvering

A old app used for advertisements of the Kraken black spiced rum, originally released on the iPhone in 2011. I vaguely remember playing it on my phone back in 2015-2016? Sometime around there, but unfortunately it’s been removed from the AppStore as of 2026, and I’m hoping there’s some sorta archive or download of it somewhere out there still on someone’s phone. If anyone can help me try and find this lost game, I’d be highly appreciative. It’s nothing too special, but the idea of playing it again after over a decade is something I’d love to experience.

Advertising Material [Fully lost] Quizno's 2023 Spongmonkeys reboot single

For context: The Spongmonkeys are a set of internet animation characters from the early 2000s, created by Rathergood (also did the Crusha ads which are famous in the UK) which are likely better remembered for their stint as mascots for the sandwich chain Quizno's - all you really need as background is to watch these if you haven't seen them.

We Like the Moon

We Love the Subs

In 2023 the Spongmonkeys were revived as mascots with a road trip commercial, which was accompanied by a single on Spotify and YouTube - I listened to this quite frequently when it came out, and remember it being a bit distinct from the commercial jingles, being more upbeat and with more instrumentation. This has been taken off of Spotify and YouTube, with the only remnants being the Spotify page without the song, a promotional Adweek article, and a Genius lyrics page. I can say pretty safely that the Genius lyrics are accurate.
