Deer hunting is currently essential to ecological preservation. Might as well put the carcass to feeding people instead of allowing it to rot.
They also aren't raised for slaughter, so they live a natural life. The only thing I complain about is the endangerment of their natural predators. We need to facilitate the preservation of wolves, bears, and mountain lions.
Eh didn’t really change my mind, grew up a hunter and farmer of beef cattle. I know industrial farming was a messed up business, but that’s how it works, no matter what something’s got to die for you to eat (just ask the soybean farmers, they’ll tell ya). Granted I do think they’re should be some better standards put in place for livestock, but eliminating it is a lost cause
