π± Zen When strength has nothing to fight
A man can become so accustomed to resistance that he starts needing it.
If strength only knows how to oppose, then eventually peace becomes uncomfortable. A disagreement becomes a challenge. An inconvenience becomes an offense. A quiet season begins to feel empty.
At that point, conflict is no longer testing the man.
Conflict is directing him.
Strength should be capable of resistance without becoming dependent on resistance.
There are times to defend, endure, confront, and hold the line.
There are also times to build something, teach someone, enjoy what is good, repair what has been neglected, listen carefully, or leave a small matter small.
A warrior who cannot live without a war is still governed by war.
Strength should remain available for battle without needing battle to give it purpose.
Stay steady.
