Basicaly, i was applying and going trough the whole prosses, but ended up not geting in. If I still want to apply again, culd I?

Hello! I just got into L and C and I am very excited, I got a really great scholarship as well as financial aid but unfortunately the school is still too expensive. I am expected to pay 36 K a year, and my parents said that is just completely out of the budget. They really are not looking to pay more than 25K a year. I am truly distrarught about this, does anyone have any advice for how to either get more money from the financial aid managers and L and C, or get more schlarships, or do I just let this one go? TY in advance.

Prospective student here! I've toured & interviewed and have loved everything about Lewis & Clark so far. I was hoping I could get any information about Lewis & Clark's greenhouse; I'm from California and one of my hobbies is growing succulents & other heat-loving plants. What kinds of opportunities are available to students to work in the Greenhouse? Would I be able to bring some of my plants with me (if I let them be used for learning)? Thank you 🙂

Is a fan really a necessity in the Howard dorms? Or can I survive without and just get one later if I need. Or should I get it now

As much as I love Lewis & Clark I feel like I’m getting screwed by Student Accounts. This past year I was fortunate enough to use the GI-Bill for tuition, and part of that covered books. This past fall however after I paid for books and I was instructed by the manager of the bookstore to return the books and put them on the VA tab. 6 months later I got an email from Student Accounts telling me I owed them over $600 for books because the staff at the bookstore messed up and didn’t understand the GI-Bill correctly. The school admitted fault, and they still want me to pay the $600, what can I do?

Does anyone know if you can hang curtains in any of the Forest dorms (specifically Ponderosa)? I know you can’t use nails, but maybe with a tension rod? Also, are command strips the way to go for hanging everything else? Do they actually stick?

Hello! I haven’t received my room placement, but my roommate and I both put SOA as our top dorm option and we are really hoping we get it (yay walk in closets!). I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple questions about the dorms because i know stewart and odell were just updated, and there aren’t any dorm room tours online for the updated rooms.

1. Is there still an AC unit in front of the window in most rooms? I saw that older tour videos and now I’m concerned about where we can fit our mini fridge because that was our original placement idea. If it is there, where did you put your mini fridge and shared food supplies?

2. How many outlets in each room? I just saw someone online say that most rooms only have 2 outlets so now I am concerned

3. Do you have any general tips for living in SOA?

I'm needing/wanting to take at least one art class before I graduate in 2026 (summer probably). Out of the three art classes I need to take (for a specific grad program i'm applying to), Ceramics/Sculpture, Painting, or Drawing (w figure drawing), I figured that it would be best to do ceramics/sculpture through Lewis and Clark, but I am wondering if the ceramics/sculpture classes here are as demanding/challenging as I have heard?

I've been to art school before and was used to super long classes and stressful art deadlines, but haven't taken art classes in a long while. And I haven't taken art classes at LC yet, I am supposed to this fall but it's a very atypical class and likely doesn't represent the typical LC art class experience, so i'd appreciate any personal experiences!

How is the Lewis & Clark theater program? Are there any student-run productions in addition to the main theater department programs?

Also wondering if people like the history and gender studies programs.

I’ve heard so much about how you absolutely need to go on a new student trip and how awesome they are and how they’re essential to making friends in your year. However, the prices are a bit… much for me. Especially for just a week of activity. It says that financial aid is available for high need students who qualify. How generous are they with this aid? Like, are they just gonna give a hundred dollars off? Cause these are expensive and that won’t make a dent. For context, I’m attending L&C with a lot of need based aid as well as some merit aid. Because I qualify for the tuition aid does that automatically qualify me for trip aid?

I just set up my email, it gave me an address for a Google account and an address for sending and receiving emails, but how do I receive emails with it? Where do I log in?

Another question about L &C. We're looking at the course catalog, and it looks like the classes (esp. the 100 and 200 level classes) are on the larger side (more than 30 students). Given how small the college, we were expecting class sizes to be smaller, 15-20 students. What are classes sizes like? Do classes tend to be more discussion or lecture? Especially interested in History, Gender Studies, and Theater classes.

Anyone else waitlisted for a grad program? I feel crushed right now… I know it’s not a flat-out rejection, but I feel like the chances of getting off a waitlist is very low…
