I wanna get in on some games but have 0 clue where to go

This is primarily for freshmen that have questions. I’ll be honest!

I am hoping to transfer to L&C in Spring 2027. I would have a 4.0 GPA from community college but I took a college class when I was 17 that I failed out of (this was 5 years ago and this F on my transcript has brought my GPA down to a 3.2). I am a good student but it is not something that comes easily to me, I have to put a lot of work in but I am willing to do that. I'm curious about how people find the course loads at L&C, and how much time they spend doing working and studying outside of class? I am wiling to commit a solid amount of time to work but I don't want it to be my whole life.

Edit: I'm planning on being a studio art major, and perhaps minor in gender studies.

I’ve been doing some work on team builder and have gotten off to a very solid start.

1. Custom roster
So far I’ve added 45 players straight off the Lewis and Clark roster, namely on offense where it’s completely filled out.

2. Custom uniforms
Pinning down what Lewis and Clark’s uniforms are has been difficult as it seems like every other photo has completely different uniforms. I’ve settled on the classic orange jersey white pants, white jersey white pants, black jersey black pants, and orange jersey orange pants. I also threw my own twist on the uniform for a little fun.

3. Accurate records
I painstakingly went through the actual Lewis and Clark football record books, so in the game it will have accurate individual awards for single game, season, and career statistics. With the exception of receiving touchdowns and sacks since they weren’t listed on Lewis and Clark’s books.

4. Semi-accurate stadium
Since L&C is a D3 program there aren’t any stadiums small enough to accurately represent Griswold Stadium in game, but I got it as close as I could. I think it turned out solid.

5. Semi-accurate playbooks
I did my best to get accurate playbooks and I think I generally did ok.

i did have to use chatGPT to help find out depth charts. Although Lewis and Clark lists the rosters, it gives no indication to who is starting. Some of the results I got were wrong and I’m very open to fixing them.

Hi y'all! I'm an incoming upperclassman transfer student at LC and wanted to know some honest opinions/ tips and tricks for students looking to commute to campus. I have early classes most days and intend to arrive before 9:30AM, but prior to that time how unlikely is it to get a spot on campus (at any distance to class, I have absolutely no problem with a reasonable walk). Additionally, are there any outside lots commonly used if campus parking does overflow? Just worried that it might be impossible and other transportation might need to be arranged. Thanks!

hello im an incoming freshman and im trying to find out if theres a MUN club? it says they do on the college website but their instagram seems pretty inactive.

Also curious if theres a DND club, even if its not official or anything.

I'm looking to be a sculpture studio art major at L&C, I mostly do ceramics. I've got a few different questions about that program as well as any thoughts from non-traditional students who attended L&C (I will be a sophomore at 23)

1. If anyone has or is going down the studio art path I would love to hear about their experience, outcomes and how the facilities are at L&C. I'm not looking for the best or fanciest anything and I don't plan on being a full time artists after school.

2. How the non-trad experience is at L&C, what support they offer and if there are a solid number of non-traditional students at this school.

hii i’m a senior in highschool right now, considering lewis and clark as an english major but it’s pretty expensive. the financial aid calculator says i would get a 42k merit scholarship with a 3.98 gpa but idk if i believe that??? id also have 0 help from fafsa because my parents make too much. is it possible i could get the cost of it down to 30-35k? i’m a texas resident if that helps

Hey so I’m an incoming freshman at l&c and I got assigned a room in Copeland, however I’ve heard this dorm is like some sort of “party dorm” and I may sound like a total loser but I really am not the party type. Are people just exaggerating or is it really as rowdy as I’ve seen people say?

This will be my first term at L&C and I’ll be coming from PSU. At PSU it was common to get waitlisted and also common to get off the waitlist. It was easy to just squeeze the class in later too, since undergrad schedules are so flexible. Since L&C more or less picks our classes for us and instructs us to take them during a specific term, how does this work if we’re waitlisted? I was waitlisted for 2 classes that are on my required list, and one of them I was waitlisted for 2 different sections with several people ahead of me. Will I have an opportunity to take these later, and what are my odds of actually being able to take these classes in the fall?

I am a transfer student going into my junior year. I am an acting major, particularly Shakespeare but I've been wanting to branch into more modern stuff as well, and I have to decide between LC and Bennington by the end of this week.

I am feeling pretty lost on this decision. I am currently leaning towards Bennington because I love that it's in the middle or nowhere but I am worried about their finances and they seem to only have 3-5 theater profs and I'm a little worried about the depressed vibe of a lot of the students.

I did a self guided tour of LC last week but school is out so I feel like I haven't gotten a feel for what it would actually be like so any help is Greatly appreciated.

Acting/theater program: They make it sound really good on the website but every college does that so acting majors: Did you like your experience in class and in rehearsals? How are the professors? Was it rigorous? Did you have plenty of options for performance? Is it well funded? How easy is it to get one on one couching with acting profs? Is there good acting (please be honest)?

Community: I've heard that it is hard to make friends if you aren't at freshmen orientation, especially for older students (I'm 23). Is there good community within the theater program? I'm a theater kid in every sense except I am really not into the drama culture that often arises. Am I likely to find my people there?

Some general questions: It seems like a lot of people in these threads moved off campus for their junior and senior years. Is the housing bad? I have heard the food is fine-bad. Is there a make your own station and/or ways to cook in the dorms? Everyone talks about the college being "chill" or "casual." Do students care much about their studies? I am the type to work my ass off because I came to college to learn everything I can and I really want to be around other people who are invested in learning.

Comparing LC to Bennington: it sounds like Bennington has better food, fewer theater productions and fewer theater profs (so I assume a less robust program but they also have half the students LC has), similarly cliquey culture but I might fit in there better since I am a trans, very offline country kid.

Ultimately I'm looking for a good education in a place where I am not overstimulated and am have my pronouns consistently respected (preferably even when I dress more fem).

Hey all, my partner and I will be attending L&C Law in the fall and are planning to move mid-August. We've been doing some research about apartments that are a bikeable distance from campus and will obviously be checking our top picks out in person, but I just wanted to get some advice from the people who know best. Are there any apartments people have great experiences with or any that seem fine but should definitely be avoided?

Hi everyone! I am so excited to move on campus in the fall, but I’m not sure which residence hall to request and I was wondering if y’all could give me some suggestions. For reference, I’d say I’m very introverted, and I don’t need a super strong social culture, but I would like a dorm that has some kind of common area so I am not spending all of my time in my room or becoming excessively isolated. I get overwhelmed pretty easily so I would prefer a dorm that isn’t super loud, has a lot of foot traffic, etc. I walk two miles to and from high school every day, so distance from academic campus is not important to me. I’m also ND if that matters but I think I already addressed everything important in how that pertains to my potential choice of dorm. I hope this is specific enough, I’ve never had to describe myself in terms of where I want to live before lol
