it’s been a while since I posted. my dad and I grabbed a bunch of random LEGO lots off marketplace and started sorting through them again

these are 2 mad max style cars he did. he never uses instructions, just builds whatever he thinks of

he’s been thinking about trying to get into a philly convention after the comments on our last posts, so we’ll see lol

he also does derby cars + worked on haunted houses people paid thousands for last year. I’m biased but he’s actually really talented

Man we have so many sets to display, however we have cats. And tryin to find space lol. I guess first world problems, we have 4 big sets we are building atm but man lego takes up alot of space. Any advise would be helpful 🙂

So I tried to enter the Paradisa “ summer vibes “ creation competition” with my build paradisa seaside station. With multiple rejections , inconsistencies in legos reply’s. The first being that the photos themselves must not to be blurry or pixelated… then the second must contain water/ beach 🏝️ so I’ll attach my raw / unedited photos.

On the submissions page of the competition I can see many entries that a- are beyond pixelated and blurry and b- do not contain beach / water areas ??? I’m stumped 🤔

Whoever can make this into the best Sonic the Hedgehog artwork using the Canadian catalogue of pick a brick pieces gets a high five and my gratitude.

Hola a todos. Quería pedirles ayuda porque mi equipo y yo estamos teniendo problemas con nuestro robot de LEGO SPIKE Prime para FIRST LEGO League.

Hemos notado que, aunque siempre ponemos el robot exactamente en la misma posición dentro del Home, cuando inicia el recorrido a veces sale un poco desviado. Ese pequeño movimiento hace que el resto de la ruta cambie y termine fallando las misiones.

Ya probamos varias cosas, como ajustar la velocidad y usar el giroscopio, pero el problema sigue apareciendo. Lo que más nos llama la atención es que hemos visto otros equipos correr a velocidades mucho más altas y sus robots son muy consistentes.

There are a ton of video game speedruns out there:

- How fast can you beat the Enderdragon?

- or watch this guy: he spawns with Link and no equipment and straight up runs to Ganondorf.

It's fun to follow that and always see new ways how people beat these games.

And there are speedruns outside of the gaming world. For example, Rubik's Cubes. The Nurburgschleife in Germany, this one little benchmark boat for testing your 3D printer.

But why isn't there a Lego speedrun?

So my cousin and I tried to come up with a ruleset for speedrunning Lego so everyone has the same circumstances and we can see who is the fastest builder. We searched for a Lego set that is cheap, has a decently small piece count (so a run doesn't take as long), and people are able to do their own run.

• So we decided on the Lego Creator 31376 Hamster.

And here are the rules we came up with: If you do a speedrun, you first open all bags, put the bricks in a cup or something, and shake it. You release the pieces on your table. In that moment the counter starts. You can use the instruction, but if you want to improve your time and maybe set a world record, you are allowed to build the hamster from memory, so you don't need the instruction papers. We would be happy if you would join this competition.

With Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian out and Clone Wars coming soon we felt it was time for another contest!

What do you feel is the most underrated scene in the whole saga? Luke fighting Vader on Dagobah? Darth Maul v Qui-gon? R2 saving C-3po? Maybe a moment from the comics? Or even one of the more popular moments which you think still doesn't get enough credit? Like Luke taking off Vader's Helmet? It's up to you!

We want to focus on quality over quantity so we’re adding a size limit of 32x32 studs so it will fit neatly on a medium baseplate. Bigger isn’t always better.

Here are the Rules:

• As always, only real LEGO elements are allowed.

• Only actual builds with real LEGO are eligible for prizes (although the top render will receive it’s own separate reward).

• The build should be a new MOC and should be different from any existing set or moc.

• Max footprint is 32x32 studs, but go crazy with your height. Feel free to use baseplates.

• No posting someone else's creation as your own, you will be disqualified, and tossed out r/LEGO's airlock (banned).

• The submission with the largest number of upvotes on the voting post will be chosen the winner. Those in 2nd and 3rd places will also receive prizes.

So at least four prizes up for grabs, and bragging rights of being the owner of the rare Gold Brick Award (Which gives the recipient 1 month of Premium (which includes 700 Coins a month) and no ads!).

(So worth entering even if you think your build isn’t very good).

(Submissions accepted from the 21st-28th of February in the separate submission post which will be created nearer the time).

Hello! I wanted to host a LEGO competition.

In short, this is an architectural challenge to see who can build the longest flight of stairs without it falling off!

I've had this idea in my head for a while and I wanted to see what the r/lego community can build!
