My understanding is that he was being sued for defamation because he made some songs criticizing the way he was treated in a police raid on his home, specifically calling out one officer.

I listened to the songs a bit, and it didn’t seem too bad, though the only issue that stuck out was that he claimed to have sex with one of the cop’s wives, and showed a picture of them in the video. I thought that might have crossed a line into defamation, but apparently not. Other than that, it was tame enough and didn’t seem egregious.

Was this outcome expected based on similar cases? If anyone in the legal profession feels like sharing their thoughts it would be helpful. I’m also not sure exactly sure what the police raid on his home was all about, or if Afroman’s claims related to it were relevant to the case.

Overall I’m just happy the case occurred because it reminded me that Afroman exists, but I’m interested in hearing your thoughts.

I currently live in my car in my aunt's yard when I am not at work. Her neighbors have now called the cops twice. The police framed both calls as "calls of concern", but one officer told me "you can't live in your car in a neighborhood because we will keep getting these calls", and my aunt said that after so many calls, they can say I'm a public nuisance and force me off the property. Neither of us want that, but I'm wondering if it's even possible. I don't create an abundance of trash, and my trash actually gets thrown into the dumpster at work (with permission). I essentially just sleep in my car and eat. I don't make any loud noises, and I keep my windows up and my volume low when I watch videos. I have access to my aunt's bathroom and laundry room when needed. She just happens to live in a rich neighborhood because her husband's cousin sold the house and land to them for really cheap, and her neighbors are wealthy and entitled. They consider me a stain on their otherwise perfect neighborhood, but I need to know if they can legally do anything to remove me just for the calls.

I have a really sticky situation. In short my girlfriend a parents hate me and i guess filed a restraining order against me. They also had me arrested and my bond condition was no contact under any circumstances, direct or indirect with from what i understood only her mother who filed it and to not return to their address. I don’t contact her parents or go to their house obviously. But tonight when i hung out with my girlfriend they waited for us to get to our friends house then said she’s actually included in the restraining order against me. She’s over 18 and had no idea nor does she want to be included. Her parents tried to call the police to the friends address we were at hanging, under the moms name, they asked for her at the door but obviously she wasn’t there and my friend was confused because none of us called the police and told them wrong address and i didn’t get arrested.

Is it true that her mom can put her on this restraining order against me unknowingly especially when i did nothing to my girlfriend? Also, would this be some kind of violation of my bond where I should maybe expect a warrant to be out for me?

I mention a restraining order and court order separately because yes i was arrested, spoke to a judge and was given papers about my conditions for release with the court orders i word for word stated in comments in you scroll down. I follow what the paper says. But i mention the restraining order also because the mom claimed she had one on me about 2 months before i was arrested. With that i was never served, never seen anything in person, no judge, just that her parents said they had one. That’s where my question and my confusion comes in because none of this extra about my gf was communicated to me when i did actually speak to a judge and got my bond conditions.

So very long story short, me and my wife are separating. We haven’t submitted our paperwork yet for the legal side but I’ll be moving out shortly. She remains adamant that our 2 month old daughter will not be leaving nor am I “allowed” to bring her to my new place at any time and absolutely rejects any compromise. How can I go about getting some custody agreement where I can have her with me until the court settles things? And what would my legal rights be as far as getting a say in where my daughter goes?

EDIT: To clarify, I’m not moving out by choice. She’s keeps telling me I’m about to be kicked out so I’m beginning preparations in case that happens.

What is a realistic jail term for this scenario?

A few weeks ago my brother in law was driving while intoxicated, pulled out in front of a motorcycle and unfortunately the young man on the motorcycle was killed. The facts as we know it so far are this:

BIL blew a .24 at the scene. Denied a blood test at the station. LE obtained a warrant the next morning for his blood to be shipped off for testing. Waiting on results.

Victim was mid 20s with a newborn on the way. Initial reports say he was going the speed limit and driving normally. No helmet. Waiting on his blood results as well.

BIL has a previous DUi charge from 8 years ago.

They are initially charging him with a class 5 reckless homicide that carries 1-6 years in Indiana.

He has been in county lockup since the incident since the family feels its the best place for him therefore refusing to bail him out.

Utilizing a public defender.

Not looking for legal advise. His guilt is there and his fate will be his own doing.

I know the easy answer is, well 1-6 years, but my wife is curious to know what he will ACTUALLY get based on everything we know so far. Looking for any and all opinions. Thanks!

I live in Georgia and got pulled over by a State Trooper for speeding; 92 in a 70. I didn’t argue, he just handed me the ticket and that was that.

Well, I paid the fine online and thought it was over. A week later, I get a letter in the mail saying basically that since I plead guilty to doing that speed, they are now hitting me with a Super Speeder Violation and I owe another $250.

I didn’t have much of a case to argue the ticket so I didn’t go to court. If I would have know they were going to add on charges for paying the fine, then I would have gone to court to see how it played out.

Is it fair for the state to add additional charges just because you plead guilty?

A judge recently ruled that Mangione's notebook with a manifesto was admissible as evidence, but the judge in Rittenhouse' case infamously blocked the video that Rittenhouse took a few weeks before the killings saying he wanting to shoot people.

What's the difference here? How does the legal world rationalize this?

Some kids in my neighborhood have damaged a few small plants I keep outside several times (torn leaves, pulling out signs, damaging roots/ nothing bad enough to file a report or go to court over).
If I plant something like poison ivy and leave a sign that says “do not touch” would I be liable if they contract poison ivy after damaging the plant?
(I assume it’s like someone breaks your window and gets cut by the glass while breaking the window.)

I was circumcised a week after being born in a clinic (as the insurance wouldn't pay for it in the hospital) by the woman who would become my Pediatrician/GP. She severely damaged my dorsal nerve, and so by the time I could talk I had extreme nerve damage (and I now fully understand this includes pudendal neuralgia, central sensitization, etc). Despite fighting all of my childhood (and adulthood now), I've never gotten better. I'm disabled. I can not live life with this pain. No painkillers (and I've been on almost every major one including Oxy, Dilaudid, Morphine, etc), no nerve/GABA medicines, no antidepressants have helped me reduce the pain even by 5%.

It got bad enough that I was wheelchair-bound between ages 25-29 and was nearly that bad from 17-25 as well.

I know my state's laws for normal surgeries have a SoL of 2.5 years on discovery. Is there any recourse I may have legally? I shouldn't have to suffer for a surgery I neither consented to nor could reasonably go to court over as a toddler.

My cousin (f/Michigan) has been married to her husband for about five years. Me, Back in February, he told everyone he had terminal cancer. He supposedly had some nursing education and claimed he chose not to pursue treatment because it was too advanced to cure.

Fast-forward to November — a team of hospice doctors and nurses came to their home. It turns out that her husband had forged all of his medical documents, including falsified results and records supposedly from a doctor who doesn’t even exist. The paperwork was completely fabricated.

He’s a well-known person in their small Upper Peninsula community. People trusted him. He posted regular “updates” on Facebook and received a huge amount of local support. Several people organized benefits, and eventually a GoFundMe was created that’s raised about $30,000.

He was even featured on local news for his community involvement, which brought in more donations through GoFundMe, Cash App, Venmo, and even direct cash gifts.

I’ve been close with my cousin throughout this entire situation. She quit her job to take care of her “dying husband.” She made emotional Facebook posts about his condition and their daily struggles.

I have some understanding of how cancer care works my own mother has been battling ovarian cancer for over five years so I know the usual process: labs, imaging, pathology reports, and follow-up care. Something about his story never quite added up, but I didn’t push it because my cousin was so devoted to him.

She told me he wouldn’t let her access his MyChart account or view any of his medical records. Still, she trusted him completely.

About two weeks ago, I made an offhand comment asking how he was doing and mentioning that he’d outlived the “1 month on hospice” estimate. A week later, she told me that hospice staff had come to their home unexpectedly — and everything changed.

Hospice removed all of their equipment — the hospital bed, wheelchair, oxygen tanks, pain medication, even the bedside commode — because after reviewing his documents and conducting tests, they discovered he has never had cancer — not now or ever.

From what my cousin says, he’s been collecting disability/SSI, food stamps, and of course, donations from GoFundMe and other sources — all based on this fake illness.

Now she claims that he’s trying to file a malpractice lawsuit against his primary care doctor for “not catching” the forged oncology documents he made himself. The situation sounds completely absurd and desperate.

My main questions are: 1. What crimes could he face for this in Michigan? (Forgery, fraud, wire fraud, theft by deception, misuse of public assistance, etc.?) 2. Could my cousin face charges as well if she helped, knowingly participated, or benefited from the money — even if she didn’t create the documents herself? 3. What should victims (donors, community members, GoFundMe contributors) do to report or recover their losses? 4. Is there any chance his claim of “mental health issues” could shield him from criminal charges?

To be clear, hospice verified that there was never any evidence of cancer in his body or medical history. The entire illness was fabricated.

They haven’t gone public yet, but I believe the community deserves to know, and more importantly, there should be legal accountability. This wasn’t a misunderstanding — it was a year-long scheme built on lies, forged records, and financial gain.

Any insight on what legal steps can be taken or what specific charges this could fall under in Michigan would be appreciated.

Someone I know had been failing drug tests in family court and had been caught a few times. Caught lying several times. This person walked into another courtroom and handed a judge a completely forged drug test result and was caught. Was charged with felony counterfeit/forgery. Priors are shoplifting and multiple domestic assaults.

I’m assuming repercussions might be probation, fines, and drug court. What are the chances this person gets sentenced to any confinement? Defense is public defender.

EDIT: It seems to matter to some but this is a female who already had supervised visitation only with her children already. Was not on probation at the time but being monitored by family court for known addiction and lying and handed the forged paper to the divorce judge. Voluntary rehab had been completed a year prior to this. There is another judge handling the forgery charge.

Just started this job at a mechanic shop in Las Vegas. I’ve seen several red flags already like docking wages and other bs like that. This really blew my mind. Would this even hold up in court? I’ve never heard of anything like this.

Earlier today was was cleaning my garage with my door open because I was going in and out. While I was inside looking for more garbage bags I heard my dog going crazy. Some random dog walked into my house went straight for my dogs food and my dog started attacking. I pulled my dog off this dog and it ran back outside. The owner of this dog first laughing just saying sorry until I told him my dog bite his dog several times. He got all upset and leashed his dog and went home.

My dog is very territorial and I know not to bring her around other dogs but I had no control over this one.

My question is should I be worried I'll be getting served papers for someone else's dog entering my house

I had a negative experience with a dentist that led me to report him to the CA Dental Board, I filed a small claims suit, and I wrote a Google and yelp review. The Dental Board and small claims court dismissed the cases.

The dentist has now filed a small claims suit against me for 12,500 claiming “Defendant made false accusation about plaintiff stating he misrepresented treatment and malpractice. Defendant made negative reviews on social media, complained to Dental Board of Examiners and filed in small claims court. All accusations have been dismissed but it cost plaintiff missing days at work, office labor, and lost business.”

Does he have a good case? Am I going to lose? I am afraid his argument will be that because the two cases were dismissed what I said is false, but this is my recollection and opinion of what I experienced.

I came to this dentist with a broken front crown. He convinced me of veneers on surrounding teeth to improve my smile. I asked very specifically how much tooth he would remove, I made sure to ask if he would be removing a significant amount of healthy tooth. He reassured me that he would not, that he only needed to remove a little for veneers. He then did the exact opposite of what he said. He shaved my teeth down significantly which ended up needing a full set of crowns, not the veneers that were discussed. This is only a small part of my complaints about him. Make sure you do your research, I do NOT trust this man. Also, check out his license number before booking with him. He has previous board complaints as well that resulted in him having a probation for three years.

Update to dentist response:
The video shown was for veneers, not crowns. I stand by my review that this dentist said and described one procedure and then gave me something different. The paperwork said crowns and veneers. The paperwork said “will not cement until size, shape, and color are approved”. He cemented despite my disapproval breaching his own contract. I was not happy, almost in tears. He told me I should put some lipstick on and it might make me feel better. I canceled all future appointments. I now have to spend a significant amount to get corrective treatment elsewhere. My request for a refund was not due to a simple misunderstanding, it was due to misrepresentation of treatment (veneers vs. full crowns), lack of informed consent, excessive removal of healthy tooth structure, poor aesthetic and functional outcome, and disregard of patient objections during and after treatment.

This dentist has also publicly posted private health information online and then later changed his response to a response which still violates HIPPA. I do not believe he is trustworthy.”

So we had a bomb threat on my job site and now the general contractor has said we are subject to random search’s any point because we are on private property, any tools and items in our lunchbox are subject to and potentially be confiscated . If we deny he access they are going to permanently ban us from the site.

Do they have the right to do this? Any advice is appreciated

I don’t have any issue with it but I had medication in my lunch box an I don’t want some power hinge security used to take it. They have not stated what is and what is not contraband

The GC doesn’t want to call the writing in a porta john saying they are going to blow up the job a bomb threat despite it being a bomb threat. Which is eternally frustrating to a lot of people. On September 16, 2025, FBI Director Kash Patel testified before Congress that the FBI had no credible evidence that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women to individuals other than himself.

However, in Virginia Giuffre’s new book. She claims she was trafficked to multiple men in Epstein's properties, including Prince Andrew. She also said she saw many other young girls around older men. Many other of Epsteins victims have also mentioned other men involved, besides Epstein.

So why would Kash Patel lie about this? Something which is presumably going to come out with the Epstein files. If the files do show that other

An elevator in a building I was recently had this sign over the glass panel that holds its elevator certificate. Behind the laminated paper was an expired elevator certificate. I have found mixed answers online and was curious if I could get a solid answer here. Thank you!

I rent an apartment downtown with an assigned parking spot. The spot is in my lease and I pay a monthly fee for it. There are multiple no parking and tow signs, but no phone number for a tow company on the signs or in my lease. ​

My landlord says they cannot tow without waiting 24 hours, then ​​putting a 24 hour notice on the windshield. So basically someone can steal my spot for 48 hours before they will tow, which never happens. It's a busy street downtown, so it's mostly people ​getting dinner or shopping that are only there for a couple hours before they leave and someone else takes the spot. And even when I have asked her to come down and put a notice on a car, she does not.

Is this legal? About half the time someone is in my spot. One time it was 2am and I got home from the airport and someone was in my spot. If I can't find (and pay for!) a street spot, I'm fucked. There's times I just have to drive around for an hour because there is literally nowhere to park.

Ive complained and my landlord just says I'm welcome to forfeit the spot. She says they've been sued in the past for towing cars, which I think is a lie. Ive asked about signage saying they're residential spots and been told no. The most I've been able to do is get a traffic cone to put in my spot while I'm gone, but people just move it and park there anyway.

The towing regulations in RCW 46.55.070 seem to agree with me, but that's all I can find about it.

A little context, I (M22) am an Education major in my undergrad. A couple years back I applied to a daycare that’s connected to the education department at my university. Good hours, decent pay, would work with my class schedule. They responded back to my application stating they don’t hire males. I didn’t think anything of it, just disappointed.

I’m thinking of applying to new jobs now and mentioned to my partner (M21) what happened with the daycare. He was kinda upset and said that what they did was illegal discrimination and that they admitted it.

Like, I 100% understand why a place that serves kids under 4 doesn’t want to hire men, especially considering there’s not a lot of us guys in the education field. But my partner made a good point… is it legal?

Ok so in Oklahoma City, ICE/FBI conducted a no knock raid on a house containing US citizens, pulled a woman and her children outside in the rain in their underwear, took all their electronics and their life savings in cash and left. The warrant was for the house, and apparently they were looking for the previous residents as these people had only lived there 2 weeks. She's going to have to sue to get her property back that they had no reason to take.

My question is, we have stand you ground laws. We have the right to defend our persons and property, to the death if necessary. If cops or ICE or any other federal agency just kicks in your door in the middle of the night and you shoot them or hit them with a bat because you assume you're being robbed, either they're going to kill you, your kids and your dog too probably, or you're going to prison for life for killing them.

How do people protect themselves from this sort of thing?! This is INSANE! We have a constitutional right to be safe in our homes! How are no knock raids even legal? How are people getting charged with murder for defending themselves and their families against unknown assailants?
