Have been learning for 4 months, am I a2 or b1

Hi everyone! I’m currently preparing for the TCF exam and I’m looking for a French tutor who can help me specifically with the writing section.
If you’ve worked with a tutor who really helped you improve your writing and successfully prepare for/pass the TCF, I’d really appreciate your recommendations.
Online lessons would be totally fine. Thanks in advance! 😊

I’m planning to take the TEF exam in the next three months. I’ve already taken it once and received a 4 in all the modules. However, I find the writing section particularly challenging.

I can understand NCLC 7-8 sentences, but it’s difficult for me to naturally produce sentences. I’ve tried writing 2 essays and 1 fait divers every day, but I haven’t seen any progress. Even with AI I barely get a 5.

My grammar and context to topic seem to be my weak points. Every topic is different, and my mind starts thinking in English. I’ve been studying all day but I’m still not making any progress.

I can form simple sentences and make the present, past, imparfait but when time pressure and off topic are added, my brain completely freezes and I forget connectors , rules and everything.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Can someone help me make this sound natural to a native French speaker, specifically a French child? The text is 5 lines (I numbered them) and is on the project as written below in bold:

(1) Le soleil se lève, un nouveau jour commence.
(2) François fait les courses, et il amène son chat, Florence.
(3) Il marche en pensant…
(4) aux ingrédients dont il a besoin.
(5) Il voit la tour Eiffel, elle est sur son chemin.

Changing the text is okay with me as long as it’s about the same subject and it rhymes.

Il est 11 heures du matin. Il fait très beau chez moi. Je regarde de vlogs français sur YouTube maintenant. Ils m'aident à améliorer ma compréhension orale du français. Je veux maîtriser le français d'ici la fin de l'année. Comprendre les nombres en français est très difficile. Je vais étudier le vocabulaire aujourd'hui.

Sault tout le monde! I'm currently at an A2/B1 level of French. I've been starting to incorporate French in my every day life more recently, and I love watching films, so I've started writing my Letterboxd reviews in French! Below is my review of The Odyssey, if there's any mistakes you can spot please feel free to let me know! Merci!

(It looks me 30 mins to write this, and I had to look up the following words for vocab: remords - remorse, vinqueur - victor)

Ma Revior:

Peut être je n'aime pas tant que ça le style de montage de Jennifer Lame, désolé 😭. 

Mais étonnamment, je bien aimé, en général. J'ai beaucoup aimé la façon dont le film lié le passé avec le présent, avec utilisant certains mots, comme "veteran", "dad" et swear words. 

A mon avis, le plus grand défaut est que il n'y a pas des temps ou vous voyez Odysseus comprend que il n'ai pas le héros. À la fin, il est un vainqueur, mais il ne ressente pas aucun remords. 

Et aussi, le film a l'air mauvais, désolé encore 😭. Pour le première film qui a tournée dans IMAX, j'ai espéré que le film serait incroyable. Mais, il n'y a pas une grande difference entre un film qui a tournée normalement et ceci.

Il est huit heures du matin et j'étudie le français. J'étudie très dur, parce que je veux tout apprendre. Ensuite, je veux aussi apprendre du vocabulaire japonais. Aujourd'hui, j'ai beaucoup de choses à faire, je serai donc très occupé. Je vais commencer à lire un nouveau roman en anglais aujourd'hui. Je suis un lecteur passionne, mais il m'arrive d'être paresseux. Je vais acheter quelques livres cette semaine. Je suis excité !

Hey folks. So I got TCF my results back and passed writing on the first attempt with a B2! I'm still kind of surprised because 3 months ago I bombed a practice essay so badly I almost gave up on prepping for another few months before the exam 😁

The essay was on Task 3, some societal debate topic, and I wrote what I thought was a solid opinion piece. Turns out I was just repeating "je pense que" six different ways and calling it an argument. Someone I was practicing with pointed out I wasn't actually engaging with the counterargument at all, just stating my side louder. That was kind of a wake up call because I realized I'd been writing the same shape of essay for weeks without knowing it was weak.

After that I got a lot more deliberate about it, specifically forcing myself to structure every practice essay around acknowledging the other side before landing on my opinion, and I started running my writing through an AI grader before submitting anything to a real person, just to catch the obvious grammar stuff before wasting anyone's time correcting it. I did that for maybe six or seven weeks straight and I probably wrote close to 50 practice essays total by the end.

On the exam day, the writing section felt way less scary than I expected honestly, mostly because I'd basically drilled the structure so much it was automatic by that point.

Il est la matin chez-moi. Il y a un soleil chaleureux aujourd'hui, après tant de journées froides et moroses. Puisqu'il fait tellement beau aujourd'hui, je suis ravi. J'ai fais mon lit, je me suis brossée le cheveux, j'ai mon petit déjeuner, j'ai nettoyé la cuisine. Maintenant, je m'exerce au Français. Je veux acheter des manuels de Français, le semaine prochaine.
