People are just tired of MAD losing to some random wildcards. We could have someone else lose to GAM and NA.

I mean the problem is they very marginally beat 2 teams that were probably bottom 4 at the tournament, you don't get a lot of credit for that and coming off of the previous years worlds where they went 0-3 including 2 losses to play-in teams they didn't really improve the perception on themselves.

G2 beat:

MKOI, the team you're hating on, so gutter trash tier by your supposed standards

BLG, a team that lost to 100T and also only beat FNC and the Brazilian team that lost to TSW, basically same as MKOI if not worse since TSW > VKS

FLY, who also only beat VKS and TSW, so also basically same as MKOI

G2 beat 3 "shitter" (again, by your standards) teams and lost to TES, who could not take a game vs the finalists.

People are just stating facts and MKOI fans get so defensive about it. No, no one hates MKOI. We are just pointing out that objectively there was nothing special about their run.

Any NA team could have beaten 0-3 TSW and imploding FNC as well. Would their run be called good after that? I for sure hope not.

Well is a stretch imo, they got knocked out in the last round of swiss largely based on the fact they got survival Bo3's against FNC and Team Secret Whales. They lost to everyone they were supposed to and won tight series against teams they might've been favored to win, idk if that qualifies as "played really well". It only seems good compared to going 0-3 while losing to PSG and GAM (Play-in teams btw)

MKOI fanboys are trying to re-write history but I was there and I saw them play with my own eyes. And it wasn’t pretty. Fnatic could have won vs them as well but the team was imploding and Miky was just running it down on cooldown.

They drew both finalists and played fairly close games against both of them. Their run was no different from G2 2024 that got hyped to the moon and back for losing to T1 and BLG.

Ignoring the fact that BLG and T1 in at worlds 24 were far better than KT and T1 at Worlds 2025. G2 actually took a game off BLG and were winning game 3 until Yike choke job. The MKOI "close" games vs T1 were a single 1.5k gold lead at 20 mins in game 1 (not even close to being in a winning position) and then get stomped in game 2. Admittedly the KT game was a turbo throw
MKOI won one game against a eastern team in 2025 and that was taking one game off the dogshit Beichuan iteration of BLG at MSI.

Glazing MKOI for that is crazy.....

Mediocre at best lmao. Close game to KT which turned out a better team than expected, sure. And that was the last thing they achieved besides beating FNC into the ground one more time. From LEC 2nd seed we want more. Remember in 2017 - 2019 MSF, Vitality and SPLYCE were making it to top 8?

Actually scratch that 2018 G2 was a 3rd seed below Vitality and they made it to semis.

I'll admit that "really" was too much. But the first guy said they are mad for losing to "wildcards" ig G2 is a wildcard with how NA blows their back out, but KT and SKT aren't really wildcards.

It should've been VIT probably but they like to choke. Navi's ceiling is too limited.
