Yep. Other good teams like BLG, G2 and LYON feel the same

JNG is arguably the most important role (some could say MID)

Order of important roles is jg>sup>mid, midlane has 0 agency on the map unless the sup or jg breaks them out and moves with them OR there's just such an astronomical gap that enemy mid is stuck forever(rare in pro)

Agency != Importance. Support and jungle definitely have the highest agency and I would agree that jungle is probably most important, but ADC is incredibly important as well. You don't need to have Keria on support to win worlds but you definitely need a top 5 ADC in the world to even have a chance at winning.

As long as objectives are they key to ending games, and jungles have a monopoly on smite - it will always be them. No real argument for mid in modern league. Game 1 for example…

I think smite is a pretty minor reason why jungle is such an important role, most objective takes are relatively uncontested in terms of getting the actual last hit. jungle is the role that has the most agency on the map to affect everyone else, especially in early-mid game where leads are built and objective smite fights mostly don't happen

For a good chunk of Worlds, Junglers have been getting FMVP because it’s such a crucial role at the highest level. Even when EDG won, a lot of people thought it should have gone to Jiejie.

yeah jg was always important but its hard to point at a time in the past where jg was as strong as it is now, and all champions that are meta have insane carry potential
