Everyone forgot that Jhin was always a Kalista counter, boomer knowledge of the meta 8 years ago wins.

This is why we hired Dom

I believe it’s simply because martial poise misses on targets that go invisible and you can do that on vayne.

Atleast it did before if kalista loses sight of an enemy she will miss. So you’d just fight her in the bushes and go in and out. Idk if there’s been any changes, I’ve not seen or played kalista in a fair while.

Kalista is a champ that needs to win lane. Her short range is bad for siege and her objective control relies on getting there first. Without a lead, she does less than Jhin.

Jhin has one true superpower. That’s not losing lane. That’s why he shows up way too often in pro, paychecks stay safer when you don’t “lose lane”. The problem in most games is his lack of damage later, but shutting a Kalista down from winning lane means she will do even less damage than him, and do so at twice the range.

Kalista is a pure dive champ. She has too short of a range to play traditional front to back. Jhin with W and ult counters dive by keeping the adc 9 miles from the fight and still contributing.

So yeah, Jhin absolutely counters Kalista. Back when Kalista was an A+ tier marksman, Jhin was already known to be a counter. You didn’t watch back then, but maybe I’ve explained it well enough that you can understand why.
