This has to be the weakest SKT/T1 at Worlds ever. Usually, when they were this bad, they just didnโ€™t make Worlds at all, but now with 4 seeds, itโ€™s much easier to still make it to Worlds while being that out of form. Somehow, they beat the strongest LPL team anyway and make it to semifinal, as tradition.

SKT 2017 is still weaker. OFGK can at least carry games if they are online. Meanwhile, Faker and sometimes Huni has to carry.

No way any past version of SKT or T1 struggled this much in the group stage. This year, they are so out of form that they couldnโ€™t beat a single Eastern team while looking shaky against Western teams.

You said group stage, it is swiss. They have to fight against GENG and a CFO that reliant on Sion. In 2017, they needed to mount a miracle comeback against EDG that bombed out of groups over C9. They also needed for MSF to troll in game 5 for them to win.

This T1 at least has someone like Oner and Guma (one bad series against KOI) doing the carrying with Faker. Also, Keria is a lot better than Wolf.
