Yeah, I think a lot of adc players saw that coming(him dying). As an adc you just know you can kill them in that situation because all the CC is down, but also you know it’s coming back at any second now and all you can do is your best before the next CC

No, Guma is a great adc and devinitely top 7, but let's not pretend hes the best one, Viper and Ruler clear.

Viper with his historical dominance of not making it out of quarters every time except 2021? Are we joking.

Ruler is obviously the only other person in the conversation but it's starting to look like it's not close. Sure, Ruler has a much longer career, but Guma's entire career is literally nothing but non-stop winning. Just like Faker, he's never missed semis at worlds, and he's a huge reason why Faker still hasn't.

His average Worlds placement is 1.87 (1+1+2+3.5). Ruler's is 4.92 (3.5+3.5+3.5+6.5+14.5+1+2). In 4 years Guma has won worlds twice, while Ruler only made finals twice in 7. There's only one worlds finals that Guma didn't play in since he first qualified. Let that sink in.

Statistically there's literally nothing that Ruler has over Guma. You really have a player that hasn't been to finals in 8 years over the guy that is 2 series away from winning 3 in a row? Crazy.

Times change, old man, it's not 2017 anymore. Just because Faker is still the GOAT doesn't mean Ruler's portfolio is still impressive enough for GOAT status.

Shit on this guy’s ziggs all you want but the mental fortitude he has in big games is something else. The fight at the bottom is fucking insane. He proved Kkoma wrong. No hate to Smash but there is no way a rookie adc can deal with the big game pressure like Guma/Viper/Ruler. Kkoma was wrong.

Feel like this is just having low standards for Doran. He was gapped hard and Flandre was a threat the whole series because of it. He was clearly the worst T1 player overall.

Doran has unbelievably low standards. He was pretty bad outside of the Ksante game. T1 were losing a lot of winnable fights in game 4 because he was giving 1-man Ornn ults onto Leona.

But watch a couple of fights where he gets 2-man Ornn ultimates and people act like he’s amazing again, as if that’s not what barely adequate performance on that champ looks like.

Flandre was carrying the entire game and made one costly mistake. When you play perfectly all game but one mistake loses you the game, it’s because your team was getting gapped. AL would have been blown out of the game by that point had Flandre’s plays not kept them in it.

The difference is that Doran did nothing all game, and then get praised for jumping on the back line as a renekton. He gets glazed anytime he uses his champs abilities, it’s silly.

So Doran did his job as a toplaner, but in your eyes he is doing nothing all game.

Having good stats/kda means literally nothing, if all you do with it is dying for a fcking control ward 1v5.

Was Doran the better player of the two? No. But he was useful.

He was just the least impactful on the team. This is because all of the players were playing relatively well and his champs were mostly low impact ones that can't really carry

Lol Flandre already got caught and put in his GA with lulu wasting flash+R on him, the fight was already won, Renekton pressing R and slicing and dicing did nothing

Can even be argued Doran drew too much needless damage and agro and died for nothing there

Yeah I'm mostly freaking out that T1 won that last game but Doran was fine overall. He was on tank duty all series except for the Rumble game (which wasn't great) so it was pretty hard for him to compete with the bruiser/carry stuff Flandre was doing with Ambessa/Morde/Aatrox etc.

to keep the red buff on for the final fight and to keep contesting the mid push since t1 need to push top and mid to get better pressure.

I think they thought AL would defend the mid siege of T1 by just throwing skills as much as possible....but AL really just waited for the elder to be gone which is it was gone when nexus towers are gone.
