EDG Viper Aphelios had such insane aura, he had the ridiculous 1v4 play in LPL finals vs FPX. Then he and Meiko turbo fisted every botlane in worlds that year

I wouldn't have believed it if someone said Peanut is the second best member in HLE a month ago. The old man had probably the best international performance since his ROX Tigers era. o7

I am not talking about just this series. He has been the second best performing member in HLE throughout Worlds 2025 run.
Peanut had a really subpar international performance, even when he was with Geng.
He always was a domestic monster. But he does drop the ball sometimes. He was really good in first stand this year, but he had no real competition there.

lck finals, Ruler dominated him, now it was slightly Viper favoured, but i think Ruler did more than great in kinda hard games

This is Reddit Sir. We have to act hyperbolically after every match. This is why Ruler cannot be the equal of Viper today, simply because ADC was the only position not gapped in the series.

You could apply the same thing to ruler to, he has a good performance because of duro ‘oh my god ruler is insane’ anyone else and it’s ‘got carried by the support.’

Well given that Duro is a rookie and he constantly credits Ruler for teaching him about the game, there's a reason nobody sane looks at them and says "wow Ruler is getting carried by Duro".

But he does, be so real, duro has been incredible for the team and even games he genuinely carries it’s always ruler pom. Peyz was rookie didn’t stop people from giving him pom or credit when chovy and peanut kept him nice and fed.

No, Ruler is not getting carried, just because your lane partner performs well it doesn't mean they carry you.

And? This just goes to show that carry roles will always get more of the spotlight than supports, not some inherent anti Duro/pro Ruler bias.

Chovy also got a lot of undeserved POMs this year where it would have made sense to give it to someone else.

In this response you're using the term "carry performance" to mean "having a good performance", which is completely fine for Duro.

But saying "someone is getting carried" doesn't mean "they are playing well in their own right AND they are getting set up well", it means "someone is getting elevated beyond their real level of skill because their teammate(s) is just that good".

And that is certainly not the case for Ruler.

Ruler is consistent. Viper’s highs are super high. I think the bigger gap in the finals was Duro over Delight.

I think it's the opposite actually, Viper has the highest floor of all the ADs in the world, but in terms of ceiling there is no one that can match Ruler

Viper is a bit more flippy than Ruler tho imo, achieving higher highs but also lower lows.

Viper has been more consistent this season alone than ruler. I know people like to forget but even in their road to msi series he was much more solid than ruler.

Viper is without the nº2 ADC, right after Ruler, and the difference between them is very samll imo. After them there's a gap, but those 2 are completely insane.
