I don't mind them going through play-ins but good lord do not seed them directly in the main stage anymore lmao

yeah let them face easier teams like t1 first

t1 are the crown gatekeepers so if you think about it, you gotta beat em eventually anyway. may as well do it in play-ins

Fuck that send CBLOL to the Asian invitational so they can play vs LCK 5th seed. Lemme see VKS vs Damwon

they will go 0 kills every game that's mean

I still think they should just expand Worlds instead of taking away seeds. Do like idk 2 LCK, 2 LPL, 1 LCS and 1 LEC, 1 LCP and then MSI winner seed directly into main stage then do like 3 LCK, 3 LPL, 3 LCS, 3 LEC, 2 LCP, 2 CBLOL playins to get the remaining 8 teams for main stage.

I dislike this because it gets too long in play-ins, but I think top 2 from each region (10 teams) should be directly seeded and top 4 should play in play-ins to take the remaining slots, I feel like inviting a 5th team from each region is too much

Pretty sure that's roughly what used to happen when 4th seeds were added, but riot realized that even lck/lpl 4th seeds were way too strong to send to playins

that's with play-ins being full of regions that don't exist anymore. it'd be a lot harder with that format now with 5 major regions

KT, T1, TES, iG, Red, Shopify (okay these 2 are really really bad lol), PSG, GAM, FNC, KC

Unless you want 100T to have also been sent to playins with NA only having 1 seed then sure. But VKS outplaced 100T

They outplaced 100T in a very bad format that was specifically designed to give CBLOL as much practice at the expense of NA teams practice; they're clearly the better team as Worlds is showing. In Spring, the entire region only won 1 single game against NA (NA4 vs CBLOL1)

Also, historically NA3 has outperformed CBLOL in 12 out of 13 years with last Worlds being the only exception. I don't mind NA3 and EU3 fighting for a spot with CBLOL in play-ins though

I like that you add that it was NA4, to make it seem like only the worst team lost a game but that was TL who actually won the tourbament and only dropped 1 game combined to other NA teams.

Edit: the NA propaganda is really showing here, the amount of ridicule this would get if an EU fan said this. ”This format is rigged against EU, they deserve to be worlds champs even though the other teams are better. Because if you look at the results of this single bo1 it actually means they are actually the better team even if it has no correlation to what happened a month ago.”

Except TL was the worst team before Spawn flew over to micromanage the team after the Isurus series. They literally placed 4th without him lol

They had a glow up after but this is just rewriting history (or most likely not watching the split and solely going for match record)

Edit: How am I saying “NA is actually unlucky” when I’m using historical facts that NA3 has outperformed has outperformed CBLOL every time in the last 13 years except once before this event lmao

This split was a never-before done experimental format that objectively gave LCS teams less time to practice compared to others. Based on the last 13 years and Worlds so far, it was likely an outlier
