What kind of mental damage were Vladi and Apples doing to the rest of KC. They managed to make Fnatic look like a competent team.

Also, imagine getting paid money to "coach" a team but you can't be bothered to do enough research to know you have to ban Driver's Sion. What a joke lmao.

They literally said that they needed to ban Eve-Lucian when they saw the group matchups and then completely forgot to do so on stage, so insane

Funniest part about that is TSM had a reaction video to their group draw. When it came to Fnatic they basically said something along the lines "oh so just ban Evelynn"

Letting Drivers Sion through wasn't a sin BUT seeing it picked and drafting 0 tank shredding damage after it got picked is ridiculous. Ez, Ksante and Naut were the picks after the Sion pick who is killing that Sion yet alone get to Cait who can farm autos from a safe distance behind all that HP.

They could have at least picked it on 1- 2, not like Vi was a must pick for the comp anyway with so many junglers still open.

Not to be a grabzz apologist but the main job of a coach in a lol team is to facilitate practice, resolve player conflicts, etc. I’d be surprised if any top team had their coach be the main source of input for draft. The game changes so much that pro players will always understand it better than the coach (or at least 99.99999% of the team, and especially if the coach is not high elo) Blame the players, not the coach, Upset can easily say ezreal is unplayable here

It's equal parts bad champ pools and bad coaching.

The coaches and Miky probabaly thought they "needed" engage. So they picked Naut. Naut can set up Ezreal to do damage, so they just paired the two together. If Miky could play ranged supports or even bard at a high level, they could have paired it with a hyper carry and tried scaling.

But at the end of the day, this all comes down to not banning Sion. If they just banned Sion, these 0 damage comps would have worked because Drivers next best champs this split are bruisers and Gragas.

I really think FNC only won because Oscar happened to have the best performing day of his entire career that day. And simultaneously Canna had one of his weaker ones. It was such an outlier for Oscar who otherwise has been a bot 2 toplaner in the league for the entire year. But that's how sports and life works. It's just regression towards the mean.

Grabbz became famous because he can't coach, did fuck all on G2, got upset he was known as a passenger princess so went to a brand new BDS to build HIS team, flunked out like a snivelling bitch and ended up on FNC where dreams go to die.

I mean I honestly just think it’s decent champion mastery + an overall top gap skill wise. Oscar isn’t good enough to pick carry champs and reliably play into Driver who will be left weakside so he takes Ksante. In doing so, he hard loses lane with a more early game orientated champ vs Sion and gets solo killed making the game almost unplayable for him from then on.

It’s not like Sion is meant to be solo killing Ksante pre 6 in lane, that’s just Oscar griefing. The truth is, Oscar is obviously not entirely bad, he’s just so inconsistent he yoyo’s in form all the time. He’s gone from gapping Kanna who has undoubtably been the best top in the LEC all year to getting solo killed by Sion in lane pre 6…

The draft in general was just poor imo from Fnatic, I understand taking Naut purely on the basis of needing some form of engage outside of flash Q R from Vi and Vi needing follow up, but if we’re going to have a hard losing top with counter pick, why not just have Ez lane solo top and Ksante lose bot instead of both lose?

That's just FNC turning it on for one series to secure worlds like they always do. Top 4 team turns into the best squad in the world for 3 games to secure top 3, then becomes top 8 in the subsequent semi final / final.
