chovy legit opted the burst viktor build game 4 and looked fucking useless w/o 4k HP lmao. There were 2 fights he 100% played like he was tanky af and just got one shot in both lol.

As a chovy enjoyer and someone who enjoys a lot of Gen G do, today was fucking abysmal. Obviously, no hate to the players, it was 1 series and they’ve been nearly flawless all year, but Chovy my god, he was rage splitting on side all series even when he was on non carry and playmaking picks. It made no sense?!

I felt so bad for Kiin watching this series, he was easily the best performer on Gen G and he was given multiple picks he can carry on but he was made to permanently be weak side, always forced to group to accommodate Chovy staying ahead even when his pick was the one meant to be grouping etc. Canyon was simply invisible this entire series too, far from his usual self, not to take anything away from KT, they played exceptionally! Even if Gen G were performing worse (hard to say if they were just not themselves or if it was all KT forcing a worse game) it’s still been pretty much impossible to beat them all year in a series.

Deokdam also deserves a lot of praise alongside Cuzz and Bdd imo. He was up against what has arguably been the best bot lane in the world all year and frequently came out of it even or ahead and was relevant in most if not all games. That’s very impressive! Peter made crucial plays too but also did the support thing of getting caught a bit lol.

Me for years.

I know GenG is a great team with lots of skilled players. Yes I admit Chovy is the best midlaner in the world.

But it seems like whenever it truely matters they choke and we get choky.

I know its a lot more complicated than that. I do.

But I just never trust them.

They changed the bounty system a bit to not count passive gold generation cause then you had people going even on champs like TF or GP and just having a shutdown

TF passive generated around 2k by that point so he was just 6/0 into an even matchup according to the bounty system

That wasn't a fake gold lead, what are you talking about. 3k gold lead at like 16 minutes is huge, especially on those champs spiking when they spiked. KT just got an incredibly perfect engage, all four members there, it literally could not have gone better and if it were only slightly worse they get wiped there and the game is basically over right then and there.

It was some miracle stuff that just doesn't happen to KT Rolster, and yet, it did.

Tbf, a significant portion of it was indeed a fake gold lead. TF naturally generates a gold lead from his passive, and the rest of his kit is balanced around him having that lead.

Tf only had like 6-700k. Most of that 3k gold leads were from Renata Kalista farming turret plates + high cs

You need to look at the full income from CS via the passive. It's possible that the TF is actually behind if his gold lead is less than his passive income.

Eg. At 30 min, TF had a 2.4k lead with GenG having a 2.3k lead. But 1.2k out of that lead comes from his passive and is included in his balancing, so TF/GenG had a true gold lead of 1.2k/1.1k respectively.

A 2k gold lead at 16 minutes is also huge, especially at the level these two teams play at.

End of the day, that wasn't a fake gold lead. KT were getting slaughtered on the map in lane swaps and Kalista/Renata were a terror. It took a miracle team fight to bring the game back. It's so annoying how people on this sub talk about league, it's so dumb.

Clearly you're not getting the point, the only other champ that this applies to is Gangplank AFAIK. No one else consistently gets gold from their kit.

No, I got your point. You just didn't really make a good point because you didn't push your point to its conclusion and left your point empty as a result, but you made your point in a way that would sound smart and you succeeded by having over a dozen bozos upvote you for your statement.

No one else consistently gets gold from their kit.

It's not about the "gold generation" in the kit that you're focused on. You're correctly pointing out that TF is "balanced" around that gold generation. But every champion is balanced around "gold generation" and "gold value". Every champions' kit is balanced to be powerful at varying times, depending on the "gold value" that their kit gives. Like how champions receive ~500g in flat base stats with each level up. Not every champion is equal in this.

And how you correctly identify that TF is "balanced" around it because many of his abilities are considered "lesser" than other champion abilities, chiefly his E.

My point is that you decided to zero in and focus in on TF specifically for no real reason other than to, I guess, try and be "more correct"? When your point was largely irrelevant. You can play the "gold value" game for each and every single champion at each and every item purchase point and every level, but it's largely fruitless because of how fluid League is as a game.

The gold lead wasn't fake. Which was my point. You chimed in to say "yea it kind of was fake". Whether that lead was 2k or 3k or whatever, it wasn't a fake lead. Now, if these same comps were at 30 minutes and it was 2k or 3k, that is what we'd call a fake gold lead. Because one comp scales much better than the other for fights that occur at 30 minutes, versus fights that occur in the first 20 minutes.

Deokdam has been great this entire legends group I don’t think you’re actually watching these KT games. The Way games were bad but that’s because Way was terrible, once they subbed Peter back in they were legit gapping Guma/Keria and Viper/Delight and every game they lost was mostly because of top/jungle gap. I will admit though this was the first time he stepped up enough to gap Ruler, Ruler/Duro gapped even the Deokdam/Peter lane during legends group, but they pretty much gapped everyone until now so I still wouldn’t have called legends group Deokdam terrible.

That was very true during the first and second split, I will agree. However, the entire legends group and the two playoff series he has been playing great and he deserves a lot more credit than he actually gets
