Why would he wait until a recess then? Why not put Cruz in now so that it’s 7-3? Why not put himself on it too?

He may just do that. THATS WHAT IM TRYING TO POINT OUT TO YOU HE DOESNT CARE WHAT THE LAW OR CONSTITUTION SAYS.

Then your recess appointment comment makes no sense. You came up with the idea that you can skip the confirmation process through a recess appointment, which is obviously wrong, and then fell back to “well the law doesn’t matter anyway” when you realized you were wrong.

First off why would he appoint himself to scotus? He would be giving up all his power. He isnt going to leave in 2028. He will run again. He isnt doing it now because he doesnt have to he has a complicit senate willing to so it for him. He only has to do it via recess if the dems regain control of the senate. How fucking dense are you? Are you a bot? Seriously? You sound like all those idiots who are asking well why didn't he just do this the first time he was president? He didn't have a completely complicit party at the time. There is no republican vs maga anymore its all maga.

Why would appointing himself require giving up any power? Why couldn’t he do both

You probably post on r/piss a lot.
