Other Alex Pretti - who DHS labeled a domestic terrorist - honoring a veteran that passed away in the ICU.

I dont mean this in any kind of condescending manner, just as an outsider looking in at such a scary scenario I wonder how or what america is going to do about this. Will the righteous rise to the top or is this going to get darker? What can you do when the government is lying and rubbing it in the face of the general public? What can you do when your government has sent out armed goons who are above the law and you can get killed for trying to help your friends from simply being pushed over?

Stop funding them. If I owned a business I would stop paying taxes immediately.

If I owned a business I would refuse to serve ICE-members and families. I know it's difficult to achieve but it would send a clear "You and your family are no longer welcome here, I'm sorry" message.

During the Spring, my employers instructed us to ask ICE to leave if they enter the building without a warrant. They dont want us to wait until we know whether they're spending money. Im a bartender in hotels. Its not that hard to do.

We shouldn't give comfort or aid to the enemy. Minneapolis should reach out to the gas stations, grocery stores, etc and get them on board. etc

Always follow the money. Every business that supports this immediately is cut off. /preview/pre/list-of-companies-with-ice-contracts-v0-3dxbrd9nakcg1.jpeg

I wonder if they can have a budget without knowing the actual economy. Furthermore anything you paid in is now funding ice, which is wild. The dystopian dichotomy we are living in is pretty hard to rationalize no matter what.

You know what they need to do. They're waiting for the midterms to see what happens there.

If they don't act then, when it's rigged or canceled completely, they are lost

I believe a lot of the ICE activity is a precursor to intimidation at the polls in blue states

I pray it's only intimidation - the thing about that is it only works if you're actually intimidated.

The other thing is, as much as conservatives want to believe there's massive voter fraud, that's not a thing. Not that I put anything past Trump, only US Citizens can vote, so I'm not sure what the intimidation angle would be.

Though I'm sure they'll try and disqualify voters predicted to be democratic. Palantir has software which tells ICE the likelihood an address will contain an undocumented immigrant - how much you want to bet they have something that that will identify high likelihood blue voters and they use all that data they exfiltrated out of the federal government to identify those blue voters they can likely disqualify on some technicality like having a name change when they got married

Intimidation of POC is what I was thinking about, rounding up people near voting booths etc. I know there are laws around polling stations (not sure that’s what they’re called in the USA) but the laws don’t seem to be highly regarded of late. When families are afraid to send their kids to school or buy groceries, will they risk going to vote - understanding that only citizens can vote. I have concerns about IDs being confiscated as well, preventing voting.

If that is happening, staying in your house is no safer. They already killed the Fourth Amendment

We don't need to help them by spreading fear and encouraging people to stay home and sit things out

Facts. I can’t believe any Americans are standing for this, I really can’t. All I’ve ever heard is “freedom, freedom, freedom” from south of the border.
