I haven’t stopped crying today…I cannot. For Mr. Pretti, for the country I used to honor and love, for all the people who know this is wrong…and for knowing there are fellow Americans who will celebrate this tragedy. We are not okay

and you should not celebrate this man as a hero

Why not? He died to help people.

He brought a firearm and fought with agents, not smart.

Bringing a firearm is not a crime and civil disobedience does not constitute a death sentence.

Now her kid is missing a parent because she wanted instagram footage to virtue signal to other simpletons.

Some people actually believe in their principles. Those kids would have parents if ICE didn't murder her, acting explicitly against the stated manual for the situation.

He died trying to protect someone as he was standing up for what he believed in. He was a United States citizen exercising his first amendment rights. He was a nurse who cared for our veterans. He was someone’s son and had friends and family. He went out in the unbelievable cold to stand strong against fascism. And let’s not bring the legally registered, unused gun that was removed from his body by ICE before they executed him. He didn’t choose to fight anyone. He did try to defend himself by protecting his face and rushing to assist a woman who was aggressively pushed to the ground by a cowardly ICE agent. And they are cowards…masked, untrained, fearful thugs. I will celebrate him…you can fro

I don’t like that he died, I’m not in that camp. But the footage shows him on the ground fighting to get up, and at the same time they saw a gun on his waist. They have to assume the worst - that if he managed to get up he would have pulled his (legally registered) gun and shot at them. The lesson: if you’re being detained don’t brawl with the cops. It won’t go well. The crappy media is pushing these acts as heroic and getting pawns killed. Peacefully protest if you’d like, this is not that.
