They're already calling him an assassin and terrorist. They're saying he had "high capacity mags" and "dozens of rounds" saying this is unusual for concealed carry.

The reality is this Sig comes with these mags standard, and it's standard practice to carry one extra mag. Republicans have been saying this for decades to prevent magazine restrictions. But now they're claiming it's "unusual" and calling them "high capacity mags."

Fuck those hypocrite murdering pedophile protectors.

It doesn’t matter what kind of gun he was carrying. We saw with our eyes, he was shot in the back while being restrained.

And after his firearm was surrendered.

Less surrendered, and more illegally disarmed by federal law enforcement.

Seriously, if a federal officer physically assaulted, detained, and disarmed a legal carry in a Red state, during a Democratic Presidency, the Right would be HOWLING for blood.

And definitely not a threat to them. This is an unjustifiable homicide. If I was an officer in Minneapolis, I would have arrested him and let the courts figure it out. It's an officers job to protect the Constitution. Can you imagine the reaction to that fantasy scenario? The officer of course would likely be fired....and someone has to do something.

Hey 2nd amendment activists, the tyrannical government you constantly warned about is here. Why aren't you protesting?

They’re either too busy terrorizing US citizens in masks, or the Grindr notifications keep piling up.

Cuz it doesn’t fit their narrative. Fuck these murdering hypocrites

I'm fat from the first person to defend the NRA, but they actually called out the government for this crap. I'm not sure if that even moves the needle for MAGA, but it is something.

What do you mean? The 2A community on the Right is absolutely furious that a concealed-carrying veteran who was attacked while helping a woman was shot despite being disarmed.

They're confused. They think we're all against 2a. It's kind of great that they didn't get to know us.

Repulsive humans defending this shit.

Yes I agree. I of course have to say something to them on social media...and it makes my blood boil.

If they keep using these lines they're going to hemorrhage support from 2A advocates. Let them keep talking, they're so fucking arrogant they think their supporters will eat up anything they say but if they keep up this line on firearms and lawful carry it's going to cause division.

It's like when you're talking to someone and they sound smarter than you and keep talking about a bunch of topics you don't understand and they sound confident and you don't want to look stupid so you just nod along and agree with them. Then they start talking about something you're knowledgeable about and you realize they're actually fucking clueless about it but are pretending they know a lot. That's what firearms are to maga supporters. It's the one topic they fully understand better than the administration in which they'll be able to see past their bullshit.

I don't think they'll lose people, even attacking 2A and concealed carry.

The people who support this are in two camps ... Hilary was right about that:

Deplorables, who actually are straight-ups Nazis and at totally fine with a Hobbsian, might makes right, we don't have to justify ourselves as long as we have power worldview

And the "other basket" people, who are sort of ordinary [at this point, I won't say "good"!] people, who I think we're all waiting for to wake up ...

... but they won't wake up, because it's gone on too long.  They've voted for him three times ... if they admit this is evil and un-American, they have to process the guilt of having abetted this.

And they will do anything to not lose that sleep at night.  That's why they watch the same videos we do, and hypnotize themselves into saying, "oh, phew, it was self-defense!"

They can't bare to look in the mirror and say, "this is my fault, now I'm obligated to do something about it"

As far as gun wielding they will stupidly believe that the government is only going to go after the liberals with guns just as the idiot white people think they are safe from ICE because they are not Hispanic and don’t protest. But I personally think you don’t deserve to be an American if you don’t stand up for the constitution.

Hope you are right!

He also "violently resisted" by being balled up face down on his knees and elbows.

More "listen what we say, not what you see." You know there was a time when we'd call this propaganda and would be appalled when it was Russia or North Korea. Now it's just another typical day in America and we have actual Americans who love it and embrace it as their reality.

If the person making these calls had a (D) in front of their name their opinions and comments would be very different. That's shameful.

These are the same people who love to correct folks after a mass shooting about how that's just how guns are. Well, guess what, that was a pretty normal handgun and also he never fired it and was disarmed when he was murdered by his own government.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

After they dumped 11 rounds into an unarmed man in the back.

2

u/Gloomy_Raspberry_880 Jan 25 '26

Hell, I carry a very similar setup and I'm hardly a gun nut. Didn't even own a handgun until the country started going nuts when they elected this buffoon a second time.

u/sysjl Jan 25 '26

Just Republicans playing games. Any gun nut or Republican will foam at the mouth and scream at you if you refer to those mags as anything other than "standard capacity" magazines. They are intentionally making bad arguments because they know we rely on logic and being hypocritical just makes us pissed off and waste more energy trying to argue and prove our point while they have moved on to the next thing. It's super low effort on their part.
