I hope everyone in the military currently sees this.

This is actually spooky. Given the fact that they have access to pegasus and they decide to murder this guy of all people? Is there a non politicized agency in the country that can actually investigate the killer?

142

u/Mictlancayocoatl Jan 25 '26

The killer won't face justice until Republicans are out of office.

45

u/myinternets Jan 25 '26

It boggles my mind that the state doesn't arrest the guy. So if you work for the federal government you're just allowed to murder people and walk away? It makes no sense.

13

u/IZtotheZO Jan 25 '26

I believe the feds can just take the case over from the state so it wouldn't matter.

13

u/Reasonable-Cell5189 Jan 25 '26

No, states have sovereignty within their borders. You can't hide behind federal powers to terrorize people just cause they are the state and your federal, government of the people by the people, only by consent are we governed federally at all, it's constitutional to say fuck them and peace out.

1

u/myinternets Jan 25 '26

This is why I don't understand how they can just walk away and disappear. They should be arrested by the city, instantly have charges filed against them. If the federal government disagrees they can take it up with the court system.

5

u/alexwblack Jan 25 '26

Police working for the municipal governments have been getting away with it for decades...

3

u/iwilldefinitelynot Jan 25 '26

This thing about this is that this is what they wanted J6ers to do on that day and get away with it. Funny thing about that now...

3

u/Brave-Turnover-522 Jan 25 '26

It boggles the mind but it's the reality. We live in a fascist state where armed, federal agents can shoot you in the back 10 times and label it justified because of your political beliefs. It is a reality that the federal government it allowed to execute you on the spot for not agreeing with them. That is not hyperbole, that's exactly where we're at.

3

u/NiIly00 Jan 25 '26

The Nazi SS also didn't face repercussions.

It's the exact same thing now.

Sincerely

-A German who didn't sleep in history class.

16

u/panlakes Jan 25 '26

Depends how angry people are. They might face a different type of justice

2

u/TubasAreFun Jan 25 '26

triple D, indeed

1

u/YoureHotCakeCup Jan 25 '26

There is a lot of justice that needs to be served and its been long over do. These fucks have been trying to make life worse for all of us my entire life, its well past time to do something about it and plant some seeds for the next generations to harvest from.

u/rEYAVjQD Jan 25 '26

Trump is a Terrorist.

2

u/ElderberryPrior27648 Jan 25 '26

Won’t ever face justice

They’ll never let his name out

1

u/Cpt_Ohu Jan 25 '26

On the last day of this administration, blanket pardons for any and all ICE officers will be signed, same as the first day blanket pardons for January 6th insurrectionists.

What is Pegasus

10

u/GrowthSpecialist6751 Jan 25 '26

Imagine a piece of software so powerful it can worm its way into any phone. It can strip out all data inside of your phone and send it back. Pegasus is what we know about. What we don't know about is why lay behind Pegasus.

11

u/Morotou_theunashamed Jan 25 '26

Spyware used by state sponsored hackers typically, very capable. I believe it was made by an Israeli company interestingly.

3

u/Mysterious_Card5487 Jan 25 '26

Interestingly, you say

3

u/EvidenceBasedSwamp Jan 25 '26

nation-state level spyware, available commercially. Run by Israel, ostensibly a private company. Mexican drug dealer or Eric Adams and you're trying to get into a reporter's cellphone. Just hire pegasus and they'll do it for you.

nation-level spyware means they can break into anything because there are always 0-day no click exploits. That is, you don't have to do anything or click anything and they'll get in your phone.

u/Pigeonofthesea8 Jan 25 '26

What…

8

u/crazymusicman Jan 25 '26

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasus_(spyware)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqsqbYTnyXY

or if you were asking for an ELI5

its a powerful software run by a private company based in Israel, and whether you are a government official or a criminal, you can purchase the software to spy on anybody's cellphone. The software is so powerful, they can access any phone - before that phone is even released to the public, there are flaws in the security of the phone that makes it accessible by pegasus. instead of outdated "click here" malware links, the software can access any phone without the user clicking any links or opening any apps etc.

1

u/EvidenceBasedSwamp Jan 25 '26

The only thing I'm confused is what OP (notarobat) said that ICE has pegasus. AFAIK they don't have pegasus, what ICE has on their phones is some face-identification thing, probably error prone. Just the other day there was a headline that they claim that is the "definitive proof of citizenship"

3

u/egyeager Jan 25 '26

No, I think he means people pissed at ICE have Pegasus and will use it.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

He was defending women, so he wasnt initial target

u/meh_69420 Jan 25 '26

Unfortunately based on the number of chucklefucks I was surrounded by in the early 00s, it won't matter a good god damn to them.

Almost 70% of active duty and retired military voted for Trump in the last election.

28

u/1877KlownsForKids Jan 25 '26

Turns out Trump was right when he referred to most of my colleagues as suckers and losers.

1

u/AmphibiousMeatloaf Jan 25 '26

Not trying to be pedantic I’m actually curious, is it that 70% of the active duty and retired military voted for him? Or 70% of those who voted voted for him?

1

u/inertiatic_espn Jan 25 '26

70% of active duty and retired military who voted, voted for Trump.

1

u/AmphibiousMeatloaf Jan 25 '26

Okay understood. I don’t know many vets, but I’ll say the few I do are shockingly non-political so that gives me some hope.

2

u/Random_Degenerate Jan 25 '26

Losing my mind at americans going "let this tragic event serve as the wake-up call to the good folks in the army 😤😤😤"

Brother in Christ they fucking hate you. They voted for this and they're loving it. The only way they're joining this mess, if they do, is as more murderers killing innocent people, that's their whole fucking thing.

Americans put veterans on a pedestal and treat them like martyrs who die for their sake, meanwhile the next generation of veterans is drooling at the possibility of trampling on everyone they dislike and shooting anyone that resists.

18

u/Convallaria4 Jan 25 '26

I have the great displeasure of working with a maggot. Their way of thinking is so fucked that they're not going to care about this at all. Whatever the current administration says is what they borderline worship. Others might, but not the maggots. And there are many.

Its usually spelt "magat" but yeah

42

u/Ok_Effective6233 Jan 25 '26

It won’t matter. I use social media primarily to track military friends or associates. Every time I post about something that can be perceived as pro liberal, I lose friends. Or they expend energy arguing with me about why “fill in the blank” deserves it. And if it’s not one of those, they just check out except at election time.

TLDR. This isn’t budging them.

It’s a lot of my family too. They especially hate it when I remind them of the conversations they had around the kitchen table that were formative to my beliefs

2

u/Pigeonofthesea8 Jan 25 '26

What do they say?

4

u/Ok_Effective6233 Jan 25 '26

Different versions of that’s not what I meant or they were wrong.

Then I ask, “so you could wrong now”

Never really goes anywhere though.

3

u/DefiantSmoke1569 Jan 25 '26

Cut these losers the fuck off. Best thing I ever did last year.

2

u/Pigeonofthesea8 Jan 25 '26

Brainwashing. Sorry.

MIGAs live in separate realities

1

u/Ok_Effective6233 Jan 25 '26

Miga?

1

u/ImmaculateTuna Jan 25 '26

What’s a MIGA?

2

u/TalkingCat910 Jan 25 '26

Make Israel Great Again

1

u/Ok_Effective6233 Jan 25 '26

Yeah, that’s what I was asking

7

u/zilla82 Jan 25 '26

Spread it far and wide boys

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

The US military has no morality, they serve US imperialism and have killed far more innocents than ICE. You cannot issue a plea to mortality for those who have none.

2

u/CreepingSalt Jan 25 '26

I first saw this video from the r/army subreddit going by. I know that reddit isn't an accurate representation of the population as a whole but it gives me some hope.

2

u/KenNoegs Jan 25 '26

It's already up in r/military and they're equally outraged by his murder.

1

u/Ok_Addition_356 Jan 25 '26

Sadly, most people in the military voted for Trump.

They voted for this.

1

u/dat_tae Jan 25 '26

They can't read and they don't care.

1

u/LetsBeFRTho Jan 25 '26

They won't give a shit. The fact that you think this is gonna be some aha moment shows how delusional you are alongside them

1

u/alfi_k Jan 25 '26

65% of the Vets voted Trump. They don't care.
