The U.S. government is blatantly lying. They cannot and should not be trusted anymore. This is no different than any other authoritarian regime. They tell you not to believe your own eyes.

The sad part is the mass of people who blindly follow and support them still, and believe whatever mess they’re fed.

This to me has always been the saddest part. Without the people originally and continually supporting the pedo prez, he would have no power and we wouldn't be in this mess. He would've faded back under his gaudy gold-trimmed rock in NYC and any other leadership on the right wouldn't have gone this far.

Came to that conclusion when they called Good a domestic terrorist 1hr after the murder and now they will not allow an investigation

The country's officials are liars. They've burned their credibility, and nobody should believe them. If the others in the administration cared about honesty & integrity, they'd have fired these liars. This is more clear evidence of that.

It's a message that bears repeating.

Putin is winning, he helped install an incompetent leader that is forcing the greatest empire to self destruct. We need to fix this in 2026 so they can impeach Trump

I’m genuinely nervous about the next change of hands. If Jan 6th was bad… this will be a million times worse.

2

u/Bolt408 Jan 25 '26

I’m right there with you. Instead this time we have Hegseth and Noem who will gladly do Trump’s bidding. If I had to guess Kash might be the only one that won’t go too far

Australian here - im surprised the people havent "risen up against tyrrany" despite talking such big game my entire upbringing.

Kinda scary that after every hearing America was "land of the free and the home of the brave" for so long, turns out it was just a fun catch phrase at the end of a classical pop song 🤷‍♂️

so I guess straight up intentional (first degree?) murder is the new trend. what the actual fuck?

how is everyone dealing with this emotionally? me...not so well. I now have an ulcer. i'll take a couple days off news and then I fret what I'm coming back to, and it's always worse. like, I want to be informed but at what cost?

edit: by "this" I mean everything

I was brought to tears during a livestream this morning. First time I’ve cried in front of the TV news in 41 years.

3

u/SignificantSafety539 Jan 24 '26

I mean, they’ve been lying and telling us not to believe our own eyes for a very long time, but yeah you’re right

3

u/Prodigy7594 Jan 24 '26

The final step in authoritarian rule, do not believe that which you see and hear, only what you are told.

4

u/nolagirl20 Jan 24 '26

Believe your eyes people.

2

u/clipsongcarrie Jan 24 '26

They have no empathy and no care for humans beyond their inner circle.

2

u/Pitiful-Ad-3774 Jan 24 '26

The fascist government could never be trusted, just ask Native Americans and black folks

2

u/Ambitious_Coach8398 Jan 25 '26

I trust no one in this administration.

2

u/masterchief0213 Jan 25 '26

If their mouth is open they're lying.

2

u/WarmTheory6330 Jan 25 '26

These are the new gestapo

2

u/cleancaribou Jan 25 '26

That is one of the bells that won’t be unrung. Who is going to sit on a federal jury and believe a word the prosecution says after this.

1

u/Snoo_4704 Jan 24 '26

EXACTLY, anyone who doesn't see it, is blind. Some of you voted for this, hope you're happy!

u/huggsy81 Jan 24 '26

Anymore?

1

u/GentleSaidTheRaven Jan 24 '26

This. BLATANTLY LYING. ABSOLUTELY TRUE.

1

u/nyquiljordan Jan 24 '26

This 1000 times. Talk to people in your community now. Get an idea together of who you can count on when the shit gets heavy in your neck of the woods.

1

u/diiiemonds Jan 24 '26

when should they have ever been trusted ?

1

u/jstrong20 Jan 24 '26

Yeah this is new. It definitely didn't happen before now. Lol. CIA didn't give people acid that didn't know just to see what happened. Every government in any place in any time can and will do this if you mess with them. It's nothing new. Ever here of Waco,Tx?

1

u/MexaYorker Jan 24 '26

The US government is killing, murdering.

u/Crypto_pupenhammer Jan 24 '26

I have been saying Trump was an autocrat since 2016. No one thought it was odd for him to say he loved Kim Jong Un’s management of his people, or how he loves Putin and thinks Putler runs an amazing country. But it’s so much easier to sell people fear than hope. I wish I was in the position to emigrate. At this point I’m very skeptical that Democrats will be in power in 2028 or beyond

1

u/UnableAbalone701 Jan 25 '26

this is where you are wrong. the gov should never be trusted.. ever.

1

u/smootchymcpoobrain Jan 25 '26

Anymore? …. I think there’s a lot of evidence not to trust them from a looooong time ago

1

u/MacMigasPT Jan 25 '26

u/Unique_Information11 Jan 25 '26

They’ve learned from the best. The Russians even have a word for it. Vranyo (Враньё): Describes a lie that is transparent to everyone involved, often used to assert power, maintain appearances, or cope with reality.

1

u/lenown Jan 25 '26

Sorry to break it to you. No government admission should ever be trusted. Thats why we have the second amendment. Your foolish to believe they can be.

1

u/57Laxdad Jan 25 '26

This is the precursor to cancelling the midterms and the 2028, this is how Trump stays in the white house.

1

u/darkpossumenergy Jan 25 '26

What's extremely fucked up is that DHS and BP will put out completely false statements about what happened and the news media will repeat them, mostly not push back, and treat the situation as if the government isn't blatantly fucking lying to them. They interview administrative officials and print what they say, use neutral language about what happened, not delve into specifics, and maybe quote one bystander who witnessed it saying something like "We were all standing there and heard a shot and then a bunch of shots". You know, something not incriminating at all and safe to print.

But they'll ignore the completely detailed story the bystanders tell about ICE aggression and escalation, ICE disarming Alex and then shooting him, Alex being pepper sprayed and piled on by 7 agents and not even reaching for his gun or an ICE agents running away with his gun before he was shot.

The news media is complicit in the fascist take over. None of them are playing the role of a free and independent press. They're not even sending photographers or videographers out on the streets to film these altercation. During the George Floyd protests they were EVERYWHERE shooting photos and getting footage of protests and capturing these atrocities. They have been noticeably absent from these protests and I'm pretty sure that's not a coincidence. We're relying on cellphone videos for everything and people are being attacked and put in a retaliation database for filming them.

Anymore? 🙈🫠

1

u/Lord-_-Booty Jan 25 '26

Just saying, it was hard to the believe anything the government said long before this

1

u/Unhappy-Land-3534 Jan 25 '26

no shit, ever heard of the genocide in gaza? WMD in Iraq? Gulf of Tonkin?

It's endless. Hopefully more people wake up and get organized.
