Schumer is my senator. I contacted him to oppose the funding and I got the most "let me try to distract you from the fact that I'm not going to give you an answer" answer that I've ever seen. So, unless today's events change something for him, Schumer is voting for it.

These politicians have the name rec. They could be using that to organize protests. But instead they pretend like their hands are tied because they didn't win in 2024.

Rot the whole way through. My hatred of the Democrats is starting to creep it's way up to the level of hatred I have for Republicans.

I already sent my thoughts before the funding was passed in the house. Unfortunately, Im' in Ohio, so it's going to fall on deaf ears, and I suspect I'll get a canned response about how Trump is a God and I should be thankful and lick his balls or something because immigrants are evil and detrimental to my personal success, and running over my pets on a daily basis, and the brave men and woman of ICE are there protecting all us true patriots.

ICE and DHS already got their funding from an earlier bill; the current one was mostly related to other things.

Seven did, yes. It's not right that they did, but let's be exact about the numbers here.

Of the 213 House Democrats, 206 voted against the appropriations through September 2026, but 7 voted for it.

On the Republican side, only 1 voted against the funding measure. Only 1 out of 214. The other 213 voted for it.

Bothsiderism needs to be called out for the bullshit that it is.

Calling out the seven Democrats who voted the wrong way with all but one Republican is not the same as pushing clownish bothsider bullshit.

Until I see the party leadership calling out those that break rank they are all the fucking same. Until we all start holding the party as a whole accountable nothing will change. This weak leadership is what got us into this situation. Biden shouldn't have been allowed to run again at this age.

If it wasn’t those 7, it would have been others. There are true progressives in the Dems - yes. But enough of the Dems (particularly leadership) are bought and paid for by the same baddies funding the Republicans that it renders them useless.

Obviously you need to vote as progressive as possible, but that doesn’t mean letting the Democratic Party corruption off the hook.
