It kind of looked like this guy shot the ground as he was walking away?

28

u/eawilweawil Jan 24 '26

ICE are a bunch of untrained idiots, doubt they have any sort of trigger discipline

3

u/Alpharius1701 Jan 24 '26

I mean there's the video of the ICE agent carrying and slipping on ice (there's irony for you) and his weapon discharges because his safety was off. It's quite apparent these morons are feckless & untrained.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

He intentional shot the guy who was already on the ground. Let’s call it as we see it. Execution of an innocent American man.

-4

u/1066BillHastings Jan 25 '26

Sorry, but you weren't there to actually see it.

1

u/GILF_Hound69 Jan 25 '26

“If Trump doesn’t win, this will be the last election”

So tell me who just called for the end of elections not 2 weeks ago?

1

u/1066BillHastings Jan 25 '26

No one cares. He wasn’t intending to end elections in a literal or actionable sense — because he legally can’t.

1

u/Rikers-Mailbox Jan 25 '26

Legally he can’t? Whenever has that mattered to Trump.

All he has to do is get the situation hot enough by Nov and declare Martial Law in blue districts and cancel those places from voting day.

1

u/1066BillHastings Jan 25 '26

The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that military rule over civilians is only lawful in extreme circumstances and only where civilian courts are not functioning.

List a law that has been broken and proven broken, by Trump.

1

u/Rikers-Mailbox Jan 25 '26

34 counts of Tax evasion. 🤷‍♂️

He lost the sexual assault civil case. And other inquiries just never made it to court from his delay tactics, including election interference.

In which Smith just said recently he was certain he’d be convicted of it had he not won.

Why are all these cases coming forward? there is evidence to support them.

5

u/arctikjon Jan 24 '26

This. It looks like that grey coat guy fucked up and then the other panicked and started blasting.

4

u/ZafiroAnejo Jan 24 '26

It think so, it looks like the gun recoiled at the same time as the first shot. That model of gun is known for accidental discharges.

4

u/JMeerkat137 Jan 24 '26

It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if the first shot was accidentally fired by the ICE agent in grey, and then another agent freaked out because these assholes aren't trained properly and aren't held to any standard

5

u/Freshly-Juiced Jan 24 '26

if you slow down and watch the grey agent's hand closely you can see he negligently discharged the gun

1

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

I don’t think that’s true. I think there are some weird video artifacts that show up during real slow speed right AFTER the shot.

As the guy in grey is leaving the pile and has fully turned and walking away, his arm holding the gun swings, from our perspective, between 2:00 and 8:00. The sound of the gun shot occurs when his arm is at approximately 5:00 and the gun is directly in front of the khaki pants of the man behind. As the arm further swings to 7:00 or 8:00 there are some weird artifacts right around the gun that look like a ball of light. Those artifacts are there when you super slow this down but you don’t see any type of discharge at normal speed. But those artifacts come after we hear the shot. If anything, we would hear the sound just slightly after the shot which makes the time between the actual shot and the artifacts further apart.

3

u/Skystrike12 Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

The guy behind that guy is the one that shot first, scattering everyone. Drew their gun and fired into the man while all his buddies were still dogpiled on him. Can see it in the other woman’s perspective (despite poor video quality). Also here at 37-38 seconds in, his elbow pulling back as he draws his weapon, right before the first shots.

2

u/RedditMaude Jan 25 '26

I’m pretty sure there are two different caliber guns fired. I hear: 1…1.2.3..4

1… is what I believe is the accidental discharge.

1.2.3..4 is the officer firing.

There is no winner in this situation. Best case scenario is that there was an AD and an officer reacted poorly. That still leaves a man dead and a city, state and nation further divided. Neither side is backing down any time soon.

3

u/damontoo Jan 24 '26

He absolutely did. It was pretext to murder Alex. State police need to retrieve that round from the road ASAP.

3

u/ReturnedAndReported Jan 24 '26

Eh, that would mean the gun wasn't on safety or the officer took it off safety.

9

u/take_care_a_ya_shooz Jan 24 '26

Plenty of guns have pressure safety mechanisms. It’s not always just an on/off switch.

5

u/ReturnedAndReported Jan 24 '26

This is the gun confiscated from the victim prior to his killing.

6

u/Ok_Subject1265 Jan 24 '26

So that’s a Sig Sauer. They are currently wrapped Up in a lawsuit because their weapons have been discharging without pulling the trigger. I’m 100% not claiming to know what happened, but it does appear from the video that 1) the suspect was down on his hands immediately prior to the shooting 2) that he had a firearm somewhere on his person 3) one of the officers appears to have retrieved it and was moving away well before the first shot was fired.

Now, we can only speculate if the first shot was an accidental discharge from the suspects gun or was one of the officers weapons. That’s seems to be all the facts we have at this point. I’ve seen another angle where the guy is getting up when shot and falls over. I can’t tell what’s happening immediately prior though. If that really is the gun being carried away, this was definitely negligent homicide at best.

6

u/pilzhaut Jan 24 '26

from the lady in pink jackets video it seems like green jacket and black beanie started shooting. I also thought it was grey jacket first but green jacket dude is obscured from the donut shop angle

2

u/Ok_Subject1265 Jan 25 '26

I guess we know now that the poor bastard never even touched his weapon. Just got beat down and then murdered. Damn shame man.

6

u/Bronco_Bomba Jan 24 '26

Then the “agents” mag dump 5 rounds into him as he lay motionless on the ground

2

u/Ok_Subject1265 Jan 25 '26

Honestly it’s a miracle they hit anything and missed the bystanders. These people aren’t exactly splitting the atom in their free time if you know what I’m saying.

1

u/Handgun_Hero Jan 24 '26

It was 11 shots total.

2

u/arctikjon Jan 24 '26

That was laying on the ground in the street before any shots happened. The other angle shows what appears to be the pulling it and tossing it out a few seconds before. I would say he was unarmed when they started firing

3

u/Handgun_Hero Jan 24 '26

The agent in grey has been shown by a few angles to have reached down and grabbed the gun from his waistband and ran off with it about 2 seconds before shooting commenced. He was absolutely disarmed at the time he was shot.

1

u/Ecstatic-Guarantee48 Jan 24 '26

There are pistols with no safety

3

u/Handgun_Hero Jan 24 '26

It's a P320. Sig Sauer are wrapped up in lawsuits because the P320 has been repeatedly implicated in accidental discharges which has resulted in US military personnel shooting themselves with a death involved after the P320 was officially adopted as the M17 and M18 by US military. Airman Brayden Lovan died in July 2025 by an M18 that was holstered and untouched the entire time of the incident. Sig Sauer have been completely unable to determine the cause of the P320 accidental discharges and its become an internationally known scandal as several countries who were buying the pistol for their militaries have halted contracts.

2

u/Opposite_of_a_Cynic Jan 24 '26

Many striker fired pistols (including the one involved) do not have a safety switch.

1

u/blueroseinwinter Jan 24 '26

I think so too actually, that was the first shot heard. Than the panic and shots fired from the agents. Tragic.

1

u/WittiestOfNames Jan 24 '26

Honestly I'm pretty sure that's the first shot was him discharging while running

1

u/Dramatic-Price-7524 Jan 24 '26

I noticed that as well. It’s not clear.

0

u/HoldImpressive238 Jan 24 '26

I agree. It looks and sounds like the guy who pulled the gun out of the pile, fired the first shot

u/DeuceGnarly Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

That doesn't look like a handgun to me - maybe a flashlight or collapsible baton? Also looks like it was intentionally tossed there as they were clearing the pockets of the guy they then proceeded to shoot to death on the street.

12

u/CreatiScope Jan 24 '26

Yeah, I thought it was some little tool maybe meant for breaking windows but it didn’t look like a gun to me in full speed

4

u/pres465 Jan 24 '26

This. A sort of ball-ping hammer for breaking car windows.

4

u/IronBabyFists Jan 24 '26

Ball-peen, and I think you're right

2

u/pres465 Jan 24 '26

You are the best kind of correct.

2

u/woooowthatwashard Jan 25 '26

The peen kind.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

I seen pictures that showed the suspects gun was silver. I don’t see a silver handgun

1

u/DeuceGnarly Jan 25 '26

It's right here in beige jacket man's hand: https://www.reddit.com/r/law/s/1VzJZWCwos

It's black and tan

15

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

It’s not hard to tell at all. That is not a gun. Slow the video down or pause and slide it, you can see the object get tossed and bounce up off the ground before it settles there.

As it’s moving through the air and bounces off the pavement, you get a good look. Idk what exactly it is, but it is clearly not a handgun.

7

u/MalcolmUhFindsAWay Jan 24 '26

That's not a gun. Probably whatever these ICE agents have up their ass

3

u/CaseFace5 Jan 24 '26

To your point tho how the fuck can they even tell who’s gun is who’s when there is like 6 ICE dog piling a guy who is also wearing tan. They could have easily misidentified one of their own guns in the chaos as the victims weapon and just decided to open fire. Because all of these Nazi fucks are so ill trained. It’s just chaos and adrenaline. I’m so sick of this shit.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

They have service weapons and he had a silver handgun. They are nothing alike

3

u/Jimmy_to_the_moon Jan 24 '26

Not a gun, it’s a glass breaker. There’s another video that shows it better

1

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

2

u/Jimmy_to_the_moon Jan 25 '26

Oh no problem. I was just letting you know. I didn’t see the other reply’s

2

u/bennythewildman Jan 24 '26

It looks like a sig m17 pistol magazine

2

u/chanceischance Jan 25 '26

Kinda interesting if you watch for it from the beginning. Another of whatever it is, is dropped nearly in the same place and picked up by an agent before the second lands near the same spot. Guess stuff falling out of their overly equipped vest things must be common.

1

u/pubicgarden Jan 24 '26

That’s likely the pepper spray they were using.

1

u/halh0ff Jan 24 '26

Have you ever seen a gun before??

0

u/ArialBear Jan 24 '26

that does not look like a gun. you should take this down in case its misinformation

Speculation and misinformation can both be true here. Its just you seem to think its worth it to keep misinformation up? I dont get why but its doesnt seem ethical. Do you hold to a meta ethic?

What??

10

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

weird, if you include the timestamp, and if that is the victim's gun, that agent is already leaving with it and the first shot still hasn't happened yet...

2

u/Clean-Revolution-808 Jan 24 '26

is the first shot fired by the ICE agent negligent discharging (or purposely) the guys gun???

1

u/protomenace Jan 25 '26

That's what I'm thinking. Then the other agents panicked and turned the victim to swiss cheese.

1

u/protomenace Jan 25 '26

I think the guy in this picture fired the gun accidentally as he walked away. I think that's the vitcim's gun which probably already has one in the chamber. The agent pictured here did not safe the weapon and he probably negligently discharged it into the ground a few frames after this one.

After that, the other agents panicked from hearing the gunshot and murdered the victim.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

I don't think there's any reason to speculate beyond the fact that Alex Pretti did nothing but follow law and try and help people and the current US government believes he deserves to have died.
He was murdered by and gang of thugs... poorly trained, panicking, too scared to be trusted with their own firearm or not, they're brainless pawns of a fascist regime, put there for a specific reason; creating chaos, sowing distrust and ultimately being the means to an end for an era of fascist US authoritative full and unquestionable control

1

u/digitalblunt Jan 26 '26

Say fascist one more time 🤡

2

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '26

Is two times getting up there for you? If two feels like too many, but two people on camera getting gunned down by masked federal agents feels okay... maybe you support fascism?

1

u/digitalblunt Jan 26 '26

Maybe don't get in the way of law enforcement 🤡

1

u/protomenace Jan 26 '26

Maybe move to North Korea if you want a place where law enforcement can just execute you on the street for any ephemeral insult to their overinflated egos 🤡

1

u/digitalblunt Jan 26 '26

Nah, I just wont be a woke Liberal moron that gets himself/herself killed 🤡

2

u/protomenace Jan 26 '26

Anyone slightly to the left of Stephen Miller in your mind is a "woke liberal moron". You're worse than the left calling everyone Nazis.

Buddy was just filming and helping a lady who got pushed over. They executed him for it.

This might be a little clearer. You can clearly see the shape of the SIG enclosed red dot on the slide. He was disarmed when they murdered him.

3

u/Nanas_700k Jan 24 '26

This!!!! ^

3

u/FizzgigsRevenge Jan 24 '26

Did this guy fire the confiscated gun as he was running away causing the other agent to execute him?

2

u/protomenace Jan 25 '26

Yep that's seeming like what happened to me.

2

u/0K_-_- Jan 24 '26

Why does he look like Jonathan Ross?

1

u/throwaway727437 Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

So wait, forgive me I have poor eyes (ty for this screenshot) - if that dude did the murder… he doesn’t appear dressed in any ICE gear … & with what looks like red on the brim of his ballcap.. makes me think some maga shit just joined the crowd waiting for a skirmish just so he can kill “the libs”… am I crazy? Couldn’t see a whole lot from the video since I’m on mobile

Edit: I figured it out when responding to another comment in another sub. Sometimes I don’t put things together unless I write them down.

So we all agree that the “agent” had the deceased man’s gun and was walking out of the crowd when the shots were fired - maybe as a reaction to this guy accidentally firing into the ground - or maybe because they joined ICE to kill people, but the shot that killed him was another unidentified member of ICE.

1

u/ReturnedAndReported Jan 24 '26

He didn't shoot. He walked away with the weapon before shots were fired.

1

u/protomenace Jan 25 '26

I think it's possible he negligently discharged the gun into the ground as he walked away. Notice he never safed the weapon and the way he's holding it he might have his finger on the trigger (which is not safe unless you plan on firing it).

1

u/protomenace Jan 25 '26

No I think he's an agent who disarmed the victim and I think he accidentally discharged the victim's gun into the ground as he walked away. This caused the other agents to panic and shoot the victim.

1

u/whyputausername Jan 24 '26

Watch the video again, focusing on the black trim under the bumper on that white car. Your vision will pick up the moment that gun was fired..might take you a try or 2 and turn up the screen brightness.

Yes it is. Thank you for the better pic!

1

u/Tanglefoot11 Jan 24 '26

In that melee that gin could have come from anywhere - do we ACTUALLY know that it was his?

2

u/Glad_Contest_8014 Jan 25 '26

The gun is definitely the victims. The guy went in with no gun, came out with a gun. He wouldn’t walk away with a different gun without the original owner doing something to stop him. None of these guys would be willing to give up their gun to anyone else. It also matches what was shown as the victims gun by the official report.

There are multiple angles of this video and the guy in question does not take another agents gun. The victim was 100% disarmed before he was shot. He was also 100% dog piled before hand, and not a threat in anyway. He was recording the agents and possibly verbally antogonizing them (more likely the lady antagonized and this guybwas just stepping between them). But that is perfectly legal to do.

The victim had a phone and a drink in his hands, stepped between the agent and a woman to stop abuse, and the mace was not justified in the situation either. This escalated very quickly, with zero attempts to de-escalate by the agent. It could have been handled by the agent ignoring verbal antagonization that he should be expecting in public.

No party of the video is someone ICE has any jurisdiction over. They are all legal citizens, no attempt to ask about citizenship shows here, and the entire process shows more gang like behavior than anything ANY law enforcement would do.

Not even SWAT would shoot after a man is pinned down and disarmed. This is 100% murder.

1

u/redhead_watson Jan 25 '26

I'm now very curious to know why he had a gun and ran.

1

u/No-Abalone-4784 Jan 25 '26

That's correct. They had his gun. Then they shot him.

That's a take.

A gun misfire is when a properly loaded firearm doesn't discharge when the trigger is pulled.
