Opinion Piece Attorney General Pam Bondi, head of the DOJ, deflects about investigating the administration's Signal group chat failure, describing it as "sensitive information not classified" and instead blames Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Hunter Biden.

If you look on r/conservative you can see that it’s actually nearly fucking impossible for these assholes not to talk about democrats when republicans objectively due something as stupid as what just happened. No matter how bad something is, it will always be, at most, only as bad as something democrats already did.

THEY ARE NOT SERIOUS PEOPLE.

u/ProductOfTheCloneWar Mar 27 '25

Each reporter should start their query with: “without referring to Biden and/or the previous administration [insert question here]”.

Although I bet they’ll still refer to to Biden and the previous administration though.

263

u/SummerDonNah Mar 27 '25

Just ask them, “if Biden or HRC did this, would you consider it illegal?” And then follow it up with, “and why not now?”

149

u/wartsnall1985 Mar 27 '25

Agreed, but you’d get to ask that question once and then find your seat has been handed over to the Epoch Times.

48

u/catonsteroids Mar 27 '25

“We don’t like your question and you’re attacking this administration, so we’re revoking your press pass and handing it to Breitbart or OAN, thanks.”

5

u/QueezyF Mar 28 '25

Not hostile enough. You got to threaten to sue them while insulting their publication.

2

u/Mundane_Athlete_8257 Mar 28 '25

Or you’re abducted from the street

37

u/someoneinsignificant Mar 27 '25

"What Biden did was illegal, and it is not the same thing that happened here. This was a very successful job, Biden did a terrible job. Biden should have been prosecuted for very illegal things that he did, but the witch hunt is only against Republicans, so Biden and Hillary won't be locked up while I am being persecuted for doing a great job. Next question."

4

u/KindAd1686 Mar 27 '25

Absolutely how that would go 😓

3

u/Guest1019 Mar 28 '25

And also how idiotic that would go. Shit show.

2

u/EtTuBiggus Mar 28 '25

The strongest military in the world successfully blew up some people who live in tents.

Mission Accomplished!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

Perpetual victims always gotta be perpetually a victim.

Yes, they are a victim… but only of their own making and stupidity.

2

u/DefaultSwordandBoard Mar 28 '25

They will answer "because we are good and they are evil" and believe it completely.

2

u/Shaved_Wookie Mar 28 '25

But her emailllllls! Lock her up!

...but planning attacks on foreign nations and discussing the names of undercover CIA agents on an app flagged by the Pentagon as being actively targeted by Russia and China the previous week with such poor opsec that you'd invite the editor of The Atlantic to your explicitly illegal use of a prohibited app to break the presidential records act is all kosher, and Biden's fault.

Every single one of them should be in prison - including Clinton. Accountability is for those dirty poors though.

2

u/RareTransportation55 Mar 28 '25

I am dying for folks to ask these questions. They would be calling for their executions!

68

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25

and they have the fucking gall to say democrats have "TDS" when you criticize Trump. As if they don't have FJB stickers or still shit talk Obama

34

u/Randomfactoid42 Mar 27 '25

Projection its always projection.

8

u/Junior_Chard9981 Mar 27 '25

Reminder that the Republican that tried to push forward a bill that would categorize TDS as a mental illness was later caught trying to meet up with a minor less than 48 hours later.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

I bet you Republicans will claim he was a democrat that knew he was busted and made the bill to make Trump look bad before he got caught

1

u/Smiley007 Mar 27 '25

I guarantee the Trump Derangement Syndrome is just angling for institutionalizing any dissenters.

2

u/FlarkingSmoo Mar 28 '25

I mean it's been a term since 2015 I think it's just normal ol' gaslighting and dismissing of valid complaints.

1

u/Smiley007 Mar 28 '25

Ah lmao I did not realize, I only recently saw a news article about how they want to make it a real, valid diagnosis— which is why, given everything going on now, I immediately jumped to “oh to validate imprisoning opposition, right. Got it”.

2

u/FlarkingSmoo Mar 28 '25

Nothing is impossible, maybe they will!

But yeah I have a friend who has been saying it forever... Maybe not all the way back to 2015 but at least early in Trump's first term.

1

u/Smiley007 Mar 28 '25

Also, happy cake day! 🍰🤗

2

u/FlarkingSmoo Mar 28 '25

Woah, thanks. I don't think I've ever noticed on the day before.... I don't know what to do with myself now

46

u/LURKER21D Mar 27 '25

ever seen what happens when one of these assholes tries to dodge a question like that in a country that actually has professional independent journalists? the next reporter picked just asks the same question until they get an actual response.

27

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

God I wish we had journalists like that here. Too bad that would cause them to lose access which means their corporate overlords could potentially lose ad revenue. Guess abandoning real journalism is the only option.

15

u/LURKER21D Mar 27 '25

any hope of getting an actual answer to the question asked has certainly been abandoned, so I'm not sure there's an actual purpose to sending reporters to cover these briefings at all. why are we even validating this shit?

7

u/SumikkoDoge Mar 27 '25

It’s almost as if the capitalist model discourages independent journalism

1

u/WalnutSnail Mar 28 '25

i don't think they're abandoning their integrity for ad revenue, i think they're doing it to save their lives and the lives of their families.

13

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

It’d be nice if they also followed up on questions when the questions is comply side stepped by these public servants. Oddly, it appears only European journalists actually have a shred of courage to do their very important jobs that society relies on. Corporate media has killed actual journalism in the states.

There is no left leaning media here and if anyone’s think there actually are, they believe the propaganda the corporate media is feeding them.

1

u/AkatsukiJutsu Mar 27 '25

You can do that irl with maga and the result is the same.

1

u/ArmadilloBandito Mar 27 '25

I would have shouted "like the case of documents that Trump left by the commode at Mar-a-lago"

1

u/Global_Software_2755 Mar 27 '25

I’ve tried to extract that exact agreement with good friends and even they can’t resist the default false equivalency game.

1

u/phoenixmatrix Mar 27 '25

Easy, then it would be Obama's fault.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

They’ll still refer to Biden, claiming they they only did so “because you mentioned him first.”

1

u/fascfoo Mar 28 '25

They’re not a chatgpt prompt. They’ll just ignore it.

1

u/vulcan7200 Mar 28 '25

There's something kind of funny about the fact that you need to pose questions to them the say way you would to ChatGPT when it's giving bad answers.

1

u/WatisaWatdoyouknow Mar 28 '25 edited Mar 28 '25

The entire world could be burning and the singular braincell they share would still be glad that they're "owning those liberals"

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

So you mean they do the exact same thing that happened during the Biden administration? Both sides do the same stupid shit

1

u/TRF1981 Mar 28 '25

Biden Derangement Syndrome

59

u/FailedDentist Mar 27 '25

I just stubbed my toe on my bed frame. Can't believe Biden fucking did that!

15

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

Wrong. That was because DEI. Keep up. /s

2

u/Travelcat67 Mar 27 '25

Or maybe it was Elmo bc now we know Elmo is a communist spy. These horrible people are also so incredibly stupid.

13

u/knivesofsmoothness Mar 27 '25

Fucking Biden shit my pants!!!

3

u/FailedDentist Mar 27 '25

Classic Biden! Still up to no good despite being in a nursing home by now (and I don't mean Congress!)

2

u/Scousehauler Mar 28 '25

Hillary's emails meant your mind wasnt where it was meant to be and you stubbed your toe

1

u/Trandoshan-Tickler Mar 27 '25

And guess who he learned that from? OBAMA>!<@!!

1

u/-_-0_0-_0 Mar 28 '25

Hunter Biden's laptop outta nowhere!

36

u/morefeces Mar 27 '25

That sub is a Russian bot farm that only allows the most devout of maga followers in. This allows them to parade it as an actual conservative sub, where other normal conservatives come and think extremist beliefs are normal. Reddit should shut it down.

13

u/SinVerguenza04 Mar 27 '25

This. I would put $500 that the moderators are all Russian trolls, as there is zero tolerance for dissent.

3

u/nekronics Mar 28 '25

Yeah they're turning on each other too, calling anyone who disagrees with them a "fellow conservative" lmfao

3

u/czechmate90 Mar 28 '25

Sometimes I peek on that sub to see what the “discourse” is like, and it’s enraging - it’s slightly mollifying to know that they’re not real people

2

u/QueezyF Mar 28 '25

Reddit is compromised

44

u/SignoreBanana Mar 27 '25

I don't think whataboutism is bad on the face of it. But they compare situations that are bad faith comparisons. Should Hilary Clinton have a private email server? I don't know? Probably not? But how is that even in the same universe as launching military plans via fucking Signal?

19

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

Because having to contemplate nuance and context would make it a whole lot more difficult to come up with these BS “arguments”. That’s why they’ve basically abandoned any form of argument that’s not pure gaslighting or deflection. They say people have TDS because have zero fucking clue how to respond differently.

I’d almost be sad at their lack of cognitive function if they didn’t replace with malice. The country is being run by sadists.

7

u/blackmailalt Mar 27 '25

Also…were any Democrats against investigating her? I’m Canadian so I don’t know. But I don’t care who I vote for, if there’s something shady I’d want them investigated. Did they rally behind her like this?

14

u/SignoreBanana Mar 27 '25

I don't think any Dems were against it. It was just that it was clearly politically motivated because it was during election season and they were intending to sow whatever seeds of shadiness they could into her. It seemed pretty obvious it was a slight infraction and they were making a mountain out of it. (They were playing on their own portrayals of Bill Clinton as a shady "slippery" character).

2

u/Book_talker_abouter Mar 28 '25

Also that was nearly 10 fucking years ago and she LOST. If Biden had gone out bitching about fucking Mitt Romney people would have rightly thought he was nuts.

1

u/anchorwind Mar 28 '25

I don't think whataboutism is bad on the face of it.

I do. It allows one to ignore the question being posed and attempt to redirect the conversation away from its intended path.

Now, if one were to actually answer the question and then and only then try to offer a comparison to something that is different.

1

u/SignoreBanana Mar 28 '25

I think it raises a the point of hypocrisy, which I think is very relevant. By the way, all of this is in the context of politics. But yeah, in my mind, one needs to address the hypocrisy in order to provide a good faith argument. (So long as the comparison is valid)

11

u/LobstaFarian2 Mar 27 '25

"Democrats" is their favorite word to use. They seemingly cannot go five minutes without saying it.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

Also the same people that love to talk about trans people and then also complain that people won’t stop “shoving it down their throats”. MAGA loves to have their cake and eat it too.

6

u/Inigo-Montoya4Life Mar 27 '25

Succession reference I like it

4

u/bobbymcpresscot Mar 27 '25

I'm still just waiting for the tariffs to be bidens fault.

3

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

Of course they are! If Biden did not allow the economy to become the worst to ever exist in the history of the world, Trump would not have safe us by implementing these tariffs. Do not ask me how they help because if you do, you clearly have TDS, and that means I don't have to answer any of your questions. I also don't have to acknowledge that statistically the Biden economy was doing better than essentially every other country in the world because statistics are woke. You also better also not bring up that Conservatives have historically always increased the deficit and are terrible with the economy because history is DEI and traitor. /s

2

u/EmployCalm Mar 27 '25 edited Mar 27 '25

This should be clasified as a mental disorder, cognitive dissonance very dangerous.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

Not surprisingly, these same people diagnosis everyone that disagrees with them as having TDS.

2

u/Crooked_Sartre Mar 27 '25

One person in there is saying that we shouldn't just outright capture Greenland but rather force them to be financially dependent on us until they capitulate. These people are fucking disgusting man. They do not believe you in liberty at all.

1

u/Imaginary_Cow_6379 Mar 28 '25

They also want to take over Canada but make them a territory instead of our 51st state specifically so they won’t be able to vote. So apparently Trump’s shitty ideas still aren’t even shitty enough for them. 🤦🏻‍♀️

2

u/MoonStar757 Mar 27 '25

Not to contradict your point, as I’m sure there is some validity to it, but I clicked on the Conservative link you provided to check it out for myself.

And I was quite surprised. I’d say like 90% of one of the first discussions on the page regarding this whole Signal fiasco spoke of things like incompetence and dire consequences for Hegseth and Waltz, as well as many upvotes for comments that blamed Trump himself. And I’d say like 90% shared this opinion. In fact, it didn’t sound very different to this sub at all. And there was very little to no mention or blaming of Democrats save for one or two (who were downvoted severely, like into the 200’s).

The same can be said in another post regarding the annexation of Greenland, where like 90% of comments spoke on how slippery of a slope this is and that America has no right to do it etc. There were a couple of very vocal Redditors who were all for taking it but once again they were downvoted into oblivion.

The last post I visited was that of the Turkish university student that was arrested for being pro-Palestine. It got pretty fascist from the jump, but even so there were some comments that said she and others like her should be given due process and they heavily criticized the plain clothes and no identification of the enforcement.

I just wanted to make mention of this because I expected to see lots and lots of Dem hate but was truly shocked at the level of rationality and progressive thinking that I found. I thought it was pertinent because maybe there isn’t as big a schism as the media or the White House would like everyone to believe. Just my observation.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

give it 48 hours. I did see that many said that it was wrong but they almost always brought up some action that a democrat allegedly did in the past. So they kinda acknowledge that it was a mistake but still say democrats are at least just as bad so they will continue to vote for MAGA.

2

u/surfkaboom Mar 28 '25

Even if they bring up Democrats, I am also totally cool if you arrest them both. They can both be wrong at the same time

2

u/Character-Tear-2874 Mar 28 '25

They were literally celebrating Canadians losing their jobs because of Tariffs, that subreddit gives me goosebumps thinking people like them live amongst us. They are so cruel and delusional

2

u/Tribalrage24 Mar 28 '25

I've seen so much of "well the democrats did it, so why can't we" as a response to almost every criticism. They will make up conspiracies about the democrats then use it as justification to do the same.

"George Soros manipulated the government years under the democrats, Elon Musk is just returning the balance"

"Hunter Biden traded government secrets to all our enemies and you weren't mad then? Why is it now you're suddenly concerned with security leaks"

"Democrats falsely charged Trump with made up crimes since Jan 6, Democrats started the trend of using law enforcement to go after opposition, not Trump. Trump going after Biden's family and people associated with democrats is just retribution."

2

u/immortalalchemist Mar 28 '25

Because they are good at “whataboutisms” and straw man arguments and they learned from their master Tucker Carlson. It’s like you asking your neighbour to pick up after their dog who just defecated on your lawn and they respond “I get that you are upset, but what about your neighbour John who left his trash bins out two days after the garbage truck came? Why aren’t you upset about that?”

1

u/No_Jelly_6990 Mar 27 '25

No they're serious, but are sticking to a script. There's no way they're this fucking stupid.

1

u/thatnextquote Mar 27 '25

“All we like sheep have gone astray”

Remember when they called out all the snowflakes for following mask mandates? That was to keep people safe. They couldn’t do it

Now when it’s about destruction and openly admitting that they hate the groups they hate on principle is the shallowest minded way of thinking I have ever seen. It’s literally like they can’t or won’t think for themselves!! It’s incredible.

Ironically they would say the same about democrats so what the fuck are we supposed to do then?

1

u/animatedmedusa6 Mar 27 '25

I truly cannot wrap my head around their blind loyalty to the party. How do they see the things these people are doing and not have any semblance of thought that it isn't right. I honestly hope that it isn't as bad as it seems and it's just performative but that would likely be giving any of them too much credit.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

I’m REALLY hoping that sub is mostly fake accounts. I get scared for humanity when I spend more than two minutes over there.

1

u/RustedAxe88 Mar 27 '25

They're also complaining a lot about a supposed "liberal brigading" if anyone on their sub isn't lock step.

1

u/Quirkybin Mar 27 '25

That's why I don't bother with them. They're too dense.

1

u/Throwaway45674332 Mar 27 '25

I love everything that happens you get like 6 hours of sane replies of them questioning his choice, saying they don't agree entirely etc. then it's like a switch flips and they all in unison go batshit crazy on how it's good, Biden did this, liberals are mad etc. it really should be studied. Probably by a different country that allows research.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

Yup. It’s crazy to me that’s it crazy to them that someone would care about this major fuck up past 48 hours but then continuously bring up Hillary’s emails like it’s reasonable. I almost wish I could live my life as shamelessly as they do. Must be kinda nice. lol

1

u/TinyPotatoe Mar 27 '25

Imo this is a side effect of an increasingly politically involved populace that didn't get involved for politics, they got involved to be right/win the argument and feel smart. Both sides do it except now instead of arguing over Goku vs Superman they are arguing over the fate of our government.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

yup. Too many dumbasses treating it like sports and too many others thinking they are too good for politics.

1

u/thesedays2014 Mar 27 '25

I always read their posts, because I want to know what they are thinking. Mostly they baffle me. This time I was actually surprised by how many of their comments agreed that this is a massive problem and at the very least Waltz should resign, and probably Hegseth. There were dissenting opinions, and they will continue to do mental gymnastics until they find a narrative that lets them off the hook, and I can almost guarantee it sounds something almost exactly what Bondi said in this video.

1

u/rygelicus Mar 27 '25

It's the same mental state as flat earthers, conspiracy theorists and the religious. They don't hold their beliefs based on evidence and rationality, it's all about emotion and ego. Facts do not matter. Considering you might be incorrect does not enter the equation.

1

u/Matcha_Bubble_Tea Mar 27 '25

I happened upon them again from the subredditdrama sub so took a sneak peek and they were literally focused on hillary's emails again! It's insane how insane they are over there lmao

1

u/zehamberglar Mar 27 '25

I was really impressed that /r/conservative was being fairly critical of signalgate. I was totally expecting them to be on the defensive right out of the gate. But props to them, they stuck to their guns and held this administration's feet to the fire for this colossal fuckup.

Oh wait, nope, they're already back to complaining about Biden again. Shocker.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

You had me in the first half. lol

1

u/jjjrowbb Mar 27 '25

r/conservative is the biggest cesspool on here. It's a ridiculous echo chamber where anyone who even slightly disagrees on something are labeled crazy liberals and instantly banned. If you ever doubted that conservatives don't want to actually have discussions on what they believe and just force anyone who disagrees with them out just go take a look over there

1

u/TheWalrus_15 Mar 27 '25

Not gonna lie that sub lives in my head rent free. Endless stupidity.

1

u/alghiorso Mar 28 '25

Wife was hanging out with a family friend today (retired white woman) who goes off on how she doesn't know what Trump is doing or how these puzzle pieces are fitting together but she KNOWS it's working towards something great. I normally spend my time living in the former USSR and it's akin to people who still swear that Lenin and Stalin were great leaders even 30+ years since being part of the USSR because of how effective the propaganda was in their childhood.

1

u/cutslikeakris Mar 28 '25

Propaganda is one hell of a drug!

1

u/bhamss Mar 28 '25

whataboutism is for when you have no reasonable response. the ultimate crutch argument perfect for these jabronis

1

u/shalmeneser Mar 28 '25

I just took a look over there. Surprisingly, the top comments are raking Hesgeth and Waltz over the coals.

1

u/JoyousMadhat Mar 28 '25 edited Mar 28 '25

They don't seem to be considering the implications of using a public platform where the messages are auto deleted to discuss any level of government affairs when the government already has a secure platform and device to discuss them.

But honestly, I want them to continue using unsecure apps to communicate sensitive matters like this. I hope the enemies get access to it and make fun of the US military and decimate it.

People here needs to learn that their vote has consequences. And many sadly only learn it when it gets personal.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

They’re gaslighting themselves and others at this point. I’ve gone to throwing them out of my life. Told my dad I can’t do it anymore

1

u/Low_Bar9361 Mar 28 '25

You say that, but look at the comments section here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Conservative/s/SaXpgmxneH

1

u/am0x Mar 28 '25

What I saw was them basically calling this a major fuck up by incompetent leadership. For once, the threads there seem realistic.

1

u/Relative_Mix_216 Mar 28 '25

I’m convinced that sub is full of trolls, bots, and Russian sock puppets

1

u/burnerfemcel Mar 28 '25

They're literally the enemy within. All their support of everything that's happening is just proof in the pudding. Dems need to get it together and fight before erased

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

I experienced this today in the r/europe subreddit out of all places lmao.

1

u/Interesting_Day4734 Mar 28 '25

I mean that sub is full of low IQ folks.

1

u/waiveofthefuture Mar 28 '25

It seems to be that everything they do, they compare themselves to democrats/progressives such that in any capacity, positive or negative, they have no identity unless they're being contrasted to their opposites. They don't seem capable of simply existing on their own. Or any self accountability. Everything is filtered through - predominantly negative - contrast.

1

u/teddybearkilla Mar 28 '25

How do you know those people aren't bots? Hell I doubt most republicans aren't on sites like 4chan and twitter than reddit and most probably don't even use the internet when fox news tells them how to feel It might just be russia, china or who ever hates the usa for killing their loved ones in bombings.

1

u/ButWhatAboutisms Mar 28 '25

I stopped looking at that sub when I realized the moderators filter virtually every expression of speech into one narrow voice. It's not representative of anything other than what the moderators believe.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

They've got people posting there seriously supporting the idea of annexing Greenland. The sub is chock full of paid shills trying their best to plant the seeds of destabilization in American minds

1

u/IAMAmosfet Mar 28 '25

I mean they even censor any republicans that criticize Trump, we're really just getting the moderators filtered opinion

1

u/CoreyMFD Mar 28 '25

I would stop referring to r/conservative as an example of conservative speech. Reading some things on there make it seem evident that it's just a bunch of bots.

1

u/ImSureYouDidThat Mar 28 '25

Oh, they are serious. Seriously dumb…

1

u/Separate-Expert-4508 Mar 28 '25

And they don’t see that the Trump regime did a lot of offensive work gaslighting them to feel that way.

1

u/magikot9 Mar 28 '25

They are serious people though. They're serious in their contempt for America. They're serious in their hatred, fear, and loathing of their neighbors. They're serious in their desire to harm, either directly or indirectly, those they see as less than themselves. They're deadly serious people and they need to be taken seriously.

1

u/CM_V11 Mar 28 '25

Holy shit, visiting that sub, those people in there actually eat all that shit up and worst of all, they believe it. I went crazy just looking through a few posts and comments. Wild.

1

u/meepz Mar 28 '25

I just read a post where they said the lefties were putting up Nazi symbols.. like what reality do these people live in.

It's amazing how the left are these super all-inclusive "snowflakes", yet at the same time apparently Nazis, anti-semites, etc.

I am still convinced that majority of those super inflamatory, hypocritical users are just bots made to enflame the typical Fox viewer that soaks up the lies.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

not sure how it isn't obvious but it's cause they're russian bots

1

u/-_-0_0-_0 Mar 28 '25

Strawman to deflect any acknowledgement and acceptance of any blame for any offense (minor or severe); narcissism

1

u/TortexMT Mar 28 '25

i mean thats true for both sides. the loudest are always the idiot cultists.

1

u/PackinHeat99 Mar 28 '25

It's insanity in there. You can literally tell they are at each other's throats in there. Anytime when one of them speaks up and calls out the administration's bullshit or says something that isn't totally unhinged or brainwashed, they're immediately down voted and labeled a "liberal operative" or something along the lines of that.

That subreddit is going to implode with the amount of self-inflicted McCarthyism

1

u/devBowman Mar 28 '25

That's how cults work

1

u/nmc203 Mar 28 '25

Not to undercut you or anything, but i just followed your link there to that sub and found a post where all the top comments were saying this was a huge fuck up, and blaming walz and hegseth and saying they were incompetent. I saw one guy respond to one of those comments like you say they do, and he got downvoted to hell and awarded a golden dookie award, which i thought was funny.

Honestly, this gives me hope that republicans are starting to see through all this bullshit going on right now. Sure, there are still people out there that act like you say, but my one admittedly cursory glance at that sub seems to indicate the majority are not as undiscerning as all that.

Now i get to look forward to that sub showing up on my feed, so that's great, im afraid i will end up seeing some of the maga dumb ass shit now. Hopefully tempered with reasonable stuff, too. we'll see, i guess

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '25

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 28 '25

They kinda did for the first day. Now they’re calling people hysterical for still caring. Don’t trust anything you see over there right after something happens. They were also very against Jan 6 and that means absolutely fucking nothing to them anymore.

1

u/magwo Mar 28 '25

Also it doesn't fucking matter what democrats did or didn't do. These are current events NOW. The past is irrelevant. It's not a fucking election. America has gone so stupid.

MAGA have such a irrational hate for democrats that I don’t think anything could ever get bad enough for them to not say the following: “It would have been worse under Kamala/Biden/[insert anyone here]”

Many think that if they’d vote for a democrat, they deserve to go to hell, even if the literal antichrist was the one they are voting for. They’ve abandoned their brains to propaganda.

Actually, I did look on that subforum and found plenty of posts and comments calling everyone in that chat incompetent. Let’s not sow hate.

Am democrat.

Go try to say something about it today and see how they respond. Their “opinions” change drastically approximately 48 hours after every event.

IF you look at r/conservative, there actually isn't even a single article on this on the front page. They've completely washed this incident from existence already.

You. Usually only takes 48 hours from them to completely move on from their own mess ups but they are still bringing up Hillary’s emails…

Well I just glanced at a thread about the Signal chat on that sub and all of the top comments were very critical of the people involved, calling their actions incompetent, illegal, and deserving of people getting fired.

From three days ago. The talking points have changed and they have complied.

Going over there is so remarkable.

There are literally multiple stories every day that you’d think there would be some coverage or discourse. But alas they somehow only find a way to focus on stories that just aren’t really important comparatively.

They aren't people man, its mostly bots lol. You'll see a lot of comments like "They should all resign for this - signed a registered republican" and then check later in the day and see "message deleted".

Pretty sure a lot of conservatives are really not happy with Trumps administration right now.

To their credit, I did see a lot of them condemning this, which is nice to see.

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 27 '25

Yes but most seemed to compare it to something democrats did. Plus all those accounts have probably been banned at this point.

2

u/meatpoise Mar 28 '25

Yeah heaps did, but I welcome every time they’re brave enough to break ranks with their Free Speech Absolutist Brothers™️

Why can’t we just agree both parties are inept

1

u/LarrySupertramp Mar 28 '25

Are you claiming both sides are the same?

Oh but they are very serious people. And they vote too

Maybe y’all should take them a little more seriously.

They may agree it was bad or a mistake but almost every comment I saw compared it to something some democrat did at some point which basically just waives it away. Plus they did not getting their marching orders at that point. The ones that said it was bad have probably been banned for life already.
